Tough call. I dig the U2 guitar style, hauntingly ethereal but Bono's voice seems weak like he's recuperating from having been sick.
I like the lyrics change to reflect the hope of a loving Creator, though it's getting harder everyday to believe the beginnings of a religion based upon God's perfect image desiring anything to do with evil & sin.
-Still there's the hope, without which life is no more than a study in futility, vanity & sorrow.
Very weak and uninspired, listless and dreary, compared to the musical and thematic MASTERPIECE FROM EMERSON LAKE AND PALMER. Such great material, and this is all U2 could do with it?? Rather pathetic, in my opinion.
"No Line On The Horizon" is due out on March 2 in the UK and a day later in the US. The album tracklisting is: 01. No Line On The Horizon 02. Magnificent 03. Moment of Surrender 04. Unknown Caller 05. Ill Go Crazy If I Dont Go Crazy Tonight 06. Get On Your Boots 07. Stand Up Comedy 08. Fez Being Born 09. White As Snow 10. Breathe 11. Cedars Of Lebanon
I have heard it and its great! The song is similar to Queens "Bicicle Race" with its "chaingun ryhmes" i mean the "I don't believe in Peter Pan Frankenstein or Superman" sort of quick, funny type of rhymes . It also reminds me of Billy Joel "We didnt start the fire!" in the same sense. Especially with lyrics " Einstein, James Dean, Brooklyn's got a winning team ,Davy Crockett, Peter Pan, Elvis Presley, Disneyland". They are the same type of rhymes.
Thanks ELP cuz without boring groups like you, punk and then, U2 wouldn't have happened the way they did. I like this better

What album is this off of, i cant find it on iTunes. It is okay but its not the greatest. Bono's voice sounds weak.

Gregg Lake is the best. - Bono's ego drowns out the sound.

So what's so wrong in hoping, even if it's wrong?

I think, the U2 style represents our time, the one we live-in, little hope, lots of sorrow,

This isn't ELP, it's U2. When you become used to a tune by a specific artist It's sometimes difficult to appreciate anothers style.
Certainly not their best but pathetic...not!

Christmas is nothing but Celtic pagan cult that is morphed into Christianity.

They use a riff from Troika. I played it as a music class song in Grade 9. How original.

the typical u2 style!!!
they always said it would be so different but i love it! <333

Well...this song is not from their new album so maybe that's why this song doesn't differ from the typical U2 songs.
