  • classic Texan 60's psych music love it & thanks for upload

  • This is my favourite song. I really love it. Thanks.

  • Great song......

  • sounds like paperback writer?

  • This is splendid !

  • I'll never get tired of listening to them.

  • That's handy- I found this when looking up The Golden Cups, a great psych band from Japan (their version of Hey Joe is unhinged). This is fantastic.

  • they were obviously heavily influenced by the 13th Floor Elevators! Great!

  • Signed to the International Artists label at no less than 13th Floor Elevators' Roky Erickson's behest, they took some flack for being heavily influenced by the Elevators. Get the limited edition Elevators' box "Sign of the 3 Eyed men" to hear what influenced this band. Far out man!

  • This epitomizes good 60s psych.

  • this music is joy to my heart <3

    fuckin' jammin!

  • Great video! Love this song!

  • I am not retarded

  • The International Artists record label, out of Houston, Texas was so cool...

  • tommy, the guitarist rocks!! Sounds a little like the white stripes. Ahead of their time? For sure!

  • thanks for this post !! One of my favorites lps, a very hard to find here in France ! But I've found it. Texas music at his best. A gem. 20 000 light years from bored today's music...

  • Good composition!!

  • "You got to redefine yourself

if you hope to find the crystal visions of an open mind. It's easy, so easy it's all so easy to do"

What an album. I recommend it to all

  • Thanks for posting. I used to have the album and I've been wanting to hear it again.

  • This is one of the most awesome vid's ever! I love the song and the graphics are great! I rec'd this from Billykid514...if u have not already....visit his site, he's not only talented, but a lot of fun!!

  • discovered this accidently looking up the occult group, Golden Dawn. This song is ballsy for its time. Vocal reminded me of Roky Erikson. So much unheard music. Gnarly.

  • beatifull song....i love it.. that guitar sounds very psicodelic...

  • Ahhhh, another great psychidelic band from Texas, anyone not familier with the bands from Texas should take the trip, essential listining. So many of these bands were months ahead of what was happening in San Francisco. The Airplane was still playing "folk rock" while the Elevators were blowing minds at the Avalon Ballroom.

  • Love it.

  • It is amazing how mighty this song sounds today, after all these years. A lot of psychedelic rock from that period gets lost in fuzz and experimentalism. This song simply rocks with no pretense. You could possibly release it as a "neo-psychedelia" single today and chart with it.

The guitar in this song is some serious goddam business.

  • one of my favourite albums of all time, probably my favourite song off the album too

  • Again, You lucky people that lived back then. I have to live it through you and my late cousin. Living Eye, Catacombs, Love Street Light Circus, etc.... My cousin lived it all and all that is left through him are my memories of the stories he told me. That, and that I'm friends with John Ike. Met him 12 years ago and hung out with him in summer 07 in Kerrville. My cousin saw the Doors in like 68. It was crazy. You lucky bastards. I hope you know what you lived and my generation won't know...

  • Doug Kinney and the Golden Dawn are back on the road, he has CDs released, check his website.

  • I'm Jimmy Bird's other daughter. Femtex there is my sister. We're really proud of my dad and his band and it's far out that they got on YouTube after all this time!

  • Esta música é muito boa! O Power Plant toodo é muito bom. Puta discão! Foi uma grande disco-berta musical conhecer o Golden Dawn!

  • My father was in this group...background guitar and supporting vocals. Everyone in this band was friends with Roky from the 13th Floor Elevators...the name of the group was supposed to be Power Plant, but when it got recorded, the record company messed up the cover and made it look like the name of the band was "The Golden Dawn." So, the name of the album should be The Golden Dawn, and the group name Power Plant.

  • That was also partly what messed up their fame. They were well known locally, but truth be known, their stuff was recorded before Roky's, but again, the record company jacked things up and it wasn't released until after Roky's came out. What a shame!

  • Power Plant! Outasite excellent name for a band! Hippie-fied and Hippie-fried! Texas hippies were truly hardcore all-the-way....Hippie Hollow in Austin was a gas-gas-gas! Long live "My Time", glorious music!

  • Hey Girl, Tommy Ramsey's son Jon Ramsey here. I am posting a cover of " Seeing is Beleiving" on here,my friends called " Hi-Rize" did at the " Texas Psych Tribute ". I thought you might dig it. Have a good one. I sure miss Jimmy!

  • Another classic from the old International Artist label out of Houston...

  • Very cool!! They definitely remind me of the Thirteenth Floor Elevators!

  • Fantastic video !! Well done .

  • Too right, mate!

  • Totally new to this old hippie and what a fantastic surprise! This song is ecstatically infused with pure Sixties Euphoria. Music and lyrics to set you free. I'll be playing this a lot. Makes ya wanna go out in the sunshine, eat mushrooms, and dance off into the cosmos. Everything old is new again.
