Guys, ignore the negative comments these dumbasses are from a rivaling shitty school they don't know anything about San Shou or Sanda. The principle of this classic Sanshou take down can be used both way on a jab or a cross punch & Shifu Yan Lei teaches it. These guys are just jealous because you're not Asians we get it. If it was Shifu Yan Lei or Yan Zi doing this demo, I'm sure there wouldn't be any negative comments. @ redapple20012, piss off! Xiao tongzi - Little fagget :>)
It was not our intention to explain all the key points in this tutorial- Our aim is simply to capture peoples' intrigue and enthusiasm to train. Myself & Dom have been studying Shaolin Gong Fu for 10yrs & are the current British San Shou Champions. We take our training & the Shaolin name very seriously and like yourself aim to preserve the authenticity of traditional Shaolin movements.
there are other KEY points which are all wrong and points you don't understand, for a beginner this may look nice but for an experienced practitioner can see it is wrong
You have probably seen somone use this technique but you don't fully understand it. You should try to fully understand the technique before using the shaolin name and making money from it. it is people like yourselves which give real shaolin teachers a bad name and dilute the traditional techniques
Hi Redapple- Thank you for your comments. As you point out, this move can also be used off the jab. This is a traditional Shaolin technique, taught to us directly from our Shifu, a real 34th generation Shaolin master from China- Shifu Shi Yanzi. We are passing on what has been taught to us directly & so this technique has not been diluted in any way. As i am sure you are aware, there are many styles of Gong Fu and this is just one of many applications.
Martial Arts is my life and you helped me forward it thanks a lot. I'll keep practicing this thanks to u

Awful , This is all wrong!
1. The Bie Tui Xie is used off the jab or anything where the front foot lands on the ground first
2. You use it just as the person's foot lands on the ground as their bodyweight will be all on the front foot
3. you step in and block at the same time, not block then step in
4. You cross step inside so your shoulder & waist gain more leverage not cross step outside
