  • FREEDOM

  • 6:06 PURE EPICNESS !!!

  • stunning music!!

  • Im reading in the news lately that Scotland would go for independence referendum in 2014... i just hope they wouldn't walk the warpath, because these aren't middle ages, and they would really be crushed by England. But i support Scots. I always loved their nation, even before Braveheart. I am from Serbia, and Scotland is somewhat similar to Serbia (both we and them are freedom lovers, who fought great powerful nations throughout our history).

    FREEEEEEDOM!

  • Ladies and genleman ...James Horner

  • why did william have to die?

  • @aarontucker13 Heroes may die, but legends live forever. Cliched? Perhaps. Saying it's Cliched is also a cliched statement though . . .

  • @aarontucker13 because he really died that way, in real life. Film is based on real events although not really historically accurate, but there really was a scottish war for independence sometime in 1300s, and there really was a Wallace, who led the rebellion and who was executed by the english.

  • @aarontucker13 Becuase for treason in that time you were drawn and quartered. The rest of the whole messy business, was the magistrate was just that pissed at Wallace and they wanted to make a good showing for the crowd in the square.

  • People! Not only William Wallace was a hero, all Scottich warriors that fought were heroes. What thdm seperates from Wallace is that he had the courage to step forward and inspire them to fight!

Hail all Scottich warriors who fought that fight!

    FREEDOM!

  • who could ever bash this movie.... ever? this was one of the most touching movies i've ever watched and its meaning and history means soo much! screw anyone who hates it; FREEEDOM bitchess!

  • @dess1109 Someone that has no taste for good movies.

  • i am from El Salvador, but my wife is half scottish, i really love this music.

  • Im proud to be part scottish cause i may not be scottish but i know that i was scottish in my past life and i fought for freedom beside william wallace and all you sons of scotland did the same 700 years ago

  • bagpipes must be really powerful cause i was listening to this when it was pouring rain and when the music turned on the rain just stopped and it went sunny

  • Everyday I awake i am proud to be a Scotsman William Wallace was martyr and a hero like none other.A Scotsman I am and a Scotsman I will always be Be proud of your Heritage for it is your past your present and your future it may not define who you are but it defines why you are and who you came from Be proud to be a Scotsman.Never Be ashamed, Fight for what you believe in no matter the boundaries. It will make a change i promise, just like William Wallace i would be proud to fight for my freedom!

  • FREEEEEEDOOOOOOOOMMMMM

  • è stato semplicemente geniale!!! Grandissimo!!!!!

  • the movie makes me feel proud to be scottish

  • @migde2k7

i know how you feel,..i may not be scottish, but the movie just makes me feel proud of something im not even that involve with...may be the dialogues or mel gibson is awesome but one thing is for certain this movie is indeed epic for any human to lay eyes on!

  • the movie makes me feel proud to be scottish

  • 4:30 to the end...

  • 0:00-2:37 is the BEST!!!

  • I first saw this film when I was a young boy of eight. I cried my eyes out not when they were torturing him, not when they swung the ax, but when I heard him yell 'freedom'. It's left an everlasting impression on me even to this day and is one of my favorite movies of all time. I know not everything in this day and age is truth, especially in film, but even still, I will never forget the first time I saw Braveheart.

  • @ShaDHP23 I was about the same age when I saw Braveheart for the first time. I can count the times I've cried rivers on one of my hand. One of those fingers are every time I watch Braveheart and he yells FREEDOM. It's just so touching. And it happens every time I watch Braveheart, and I've done so at least 8 times. It is my favorite movie. Beating Gladiator and The Green Mile.

  • I don't care if this movie is HISTORICALLY CORRECT or often known as "POLITCALLY CORRECT". It's a fantastic movie that has great actors and for the most part it's true. So go ahead and be a bastard and bash this movie about being historically accurate. You're just a bloody englishmen!!

  • SOB :(

  • @idontlikepoo For instant Manly Tears

  • ..and won their freedom................except in reality they didn't lol

  • @dabien1O1 they did, but then lords sold it back to the English

  • I want this played at my funeral

  • FREEEEEEEDOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

  • R.I.P James Horner 1953 - 2011

  • @generalcircle I just checked online and he doesn't appear to have deceased. What made you believe he had ?

  • @kirbypinkpower MWA HAHAHA I WASTED YOUR TIME!!!! YOU GOT TROLLED!!!!. SUCCESSFUL TROLL IS SUCCESSFUL >:D

  • @generalcircle What the hell are you talking about?

  • @zachtilma50 Read the rest of the comments and you'll see :D

  • @lpycb42...not much is known about William Wallace..there were few historical records in those days...most was a verbal history handed down through generations. The movie wasn't meant to be a historically accurate, it was called a fictionalization based on true events. Meaning because they had no way of knowing what really happened, they made stuff up for the movie....just sayin

  • @geversonsr It isn't just that it isn't historically accurate though. It isn't accurate to the Scottish literary tradition of the story either. The film makers used the epic Scottish poem as the base material then changed just about everything. Much of it for no apparent reason and much of it for silly reasons. So fair do most of the detail is made up by the fim makers - no real problem with that - but people then seem to take it as truth!

  • FRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

  • two english bastards disliked this .....YOUUUUU BASTARRRRRRRRRRRRRDDDDDSSSSSSSS

  • 1:50 LIBERTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!!!

  • Our prisoner wishes to say a word.

    1:50 FREEEEEEEEEEEDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!

    1:53 The king is dead!!!

  • I'll admit...the execution scene slowly got to me...but it was the final scene in which the scotsmen charged towards the English after the sword was tossed and then Mel Gibson as Wallace said the quote. This was done very well.

    @ approximately 3:45...Bannockburn.

  • I think that there are more people than not yelling 'FREEEEEEEDOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!' @ 1:51

  • Have you ever lied, stolen, lusted in your heart, hated someone, taken God's name in vain? The Bible says "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God" (Rom 3:23). All of our sin deserves Hell against a holy God. We are all headed there. But God is rich in mercy and grace and that's why Jesus Christ came. Jesus is God and He went to the cross to die for our sins. He bore the wrath of God on Himself when he didn't deserve it. You must repent and trust in Him alone to be saved.

  • @dandan688 What the hell does that have to do with Braveheart, may I ask?

  • @dandan688 1) jesus is the SON of god, not god himself. and

    2) this is not a religious movie, it is a historically innacurate story of a civil war based in scotland back about 700 years. relevancy, you lacks it.

  • @zexion4real as a matter of fact, Jesus himself claimed to BE God, not just the son of God. (John 8:58) in reference to Exodus 3:14. We know this is so bc the Pharacies picked up stones to kill him for "blasphemy"...of course it's not blasphemy if it's true is it. :) ...but by all means let us Christians argue bitterly among ourselves over the stupidest of things. One of Christ's highest prayers for us was UNITY, to love each other more than our selfish want to be 'right'.

  • @dandan688 ? your point being? its a song over a movie poster not a religious debate..... find another video to post on and make sure its relevant next time please :)

  • @scatmanwfm

Haha thanks. I'll listen to it again

  • @gaconnochie Aye, cheers mate ;) I thought I was right! Haha

  • Braveheart number one

  • 1:51 is freedom

  • 1min 51 secs= FFFFFFRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM

  • 1min 51 secs= FFFFFFRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM

  • It's funny how the 'freeeeeeedommmm' comment always gets heaps of thumbs up on Braveheart youtube vids.

  • @DorvellTStewart I'm sure it's "You have bled with Wallace, now bleed with me!" Not what you said?

  • @GreenBrigade88 You are right. Probably inspired by "Scots wha hae wi Wallace bled"

  • 1:24

  • william wallace didnt say in the year of our lord....it was the narrator you jackass

  • @preneriver mel gibson was the one narrarating XD

  • SPARTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! ... Oh wait.

  • "You have braved with Walace, now brave with me!"

  • @DorvellTStewart It's bled =P

  • Alright, who shouted FREEEEEEEEDOOOOOOM! at 6:07?

  • Fireballs from his eyes and bolts of lighting from his arse!

  • 4:28 my favourate piece of music EVER.

  • b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l

  • @DrmrGuy1979 bro, it is history, accept or not this is the truth. of course in some way they might have modified the story but in general way this movie expresses the true events.

  • @44virtue44 many ways, the battle of stirling was much more interesting in the real life scenario than the movie. :D

  • viva er beeetiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis!!

  • i played this piece in high school. it was so beautiful!

  • Has he ever made a movie where he doesn't cry???

  • @pitbulllover151 I dont remember seeing him cry in any scene of any of his movies, especially this one.

  • @alexboissonnault he crys... when he get's betrayed. Doesn't he?

  • 6:05 - BEST !!!

  • @DrmrGuy1979 I never said it was a documentary. Certain events and people in the movie ARE historical. And I think this music is bloody fantastic. I can definately agree with you there.

  • вдохновляет мелодия очень !!!!

  • If you one day dying in your bed is you desire then not even just one time only to stand again are here to recall to our enemies so they may take our lives but they will never take our freedom

  • The scots can talk about freedom all they want but they are not morally superior to the english, they have done the same to the people of Shetland and the other northern islands that england had done to them.

  • @BJHBNE i am from Shetland and we together with Orkney were given as a dowry by the Norwegian King to the Scottish King, its not like the Scots invaded and imposed rule no Shetlanders rights were thought about by both sides. but hey that was years ago and all i can say is Norwegians party just as good as Scots so i dont care which i belong to!!!

  • @jasonxb91 But the deal was that the Norwegians could buy Shetland back for a set amount of money, they tried but the Scots broke the deal. According to the deal the Norwegian king can still claim the islands back. The islands have never been conquered by the Scots, the Scots only possess them because they broke a deal and Norway have tried to legally buy Shetland back. Anyway Alaska was bought by USA from the russians so it is possible for the king of Norway to try and buy Shetland back again .

  • @BJHBNE sorry.. but FREEEDOM!!! :D :)

  • @RichardElden wishing such a thing on any man is an evil in itself

  • @xannatose2 Mel Gibson is a real man, stands up for himself and wot let no one be the boss of him, a true man.

RichardElden is just an Engaylish poof upset that Mel Gibson has exposed the English for what they were like and it stings them to no end.

  • @Englanistan Mel Gibson made a movie that glorified and romanticised the Scottish attacks against the English. In truth, the English and the Scots back then were just as bad as each other and the rest of the world. Don't always believe what you see in the movies.

  • Taliban is the defination of cowards william wallace wasn't afraid of geting caught and tortured for what he beilieved in where as the taliban blow themselves up because they are scared of being punished for what they beleive

and when did wallace ever shed innocent blood ? something the taliban does all to well

Taliban is the defination of coward, Wallace is the defination of A MAN with honour, integrity and humilty i am insulted you mentioned the taliban in the same league as great scots

  • @MrZachrius God who the hell are comparing those Taliban murders with William Wallace!

May the vultures feast upon him.

The Taliban are killing Afghans and betraying their own country!

Wiliam was fighting for his people!

  • yea it should be dedicated to all the freedom fighters who are fighting for their freedom......specially afghan TALIBAN god bless dem............. FUCK AMERICA and death to crusaders

  • @junaidkhanorakzai

Oh, the brave freedom fighters who hide behind women and children, stoned their people to death and created an evil theocracy? They're so much like the Scots who fought against the tyranny of Edward Longshanks for better lives. You are a fucking idiot. Here's an idea, how about you go and join your beloved "freedom" fighters and join the 30,000 killed by NATO forces? It would help us get rid of one more dumb fuck. Go jump in a hole with the rest of your Quran toting heroes.

  • @xXxafraptorxXx yea maybe u should worry abt ur own sissy white soldiers who are getting raped everyday in afghanistan AFGHAN TALIBAN FORLIFE yesterday we killed 7 nato bastards in a base attack we are back and r stronger den ever

  • @junaidkhanorakzai

Oh wait, you're from Pakistan... That country that's always trying to pick a fight with India. How many people have died in suicide attacks from the glorious Taliban in your country this year? If I were you, I would be worried that the Taliban that you think is SO cool is killing innocents in your country. You of course have the standard Pakistani logic of "DEATH TO AMERICAAAA!" You're lucky US special forces kill them before they come to your house and kill your family.

  • @xXxafraptorxXx US special forces lolz the sissy forces who cant fight wid us face to face always use air support and always cry like babies ...........................

  • @junaidkhanorakzai

Haha 30,000 Taliban dead and counting, NATO eats your little "Freedom Fighters" for breakfast. Tell me again, how many of your pathetic wanking Taliban are dead? You need foreign fighters to replace the trash we kill on a daily basis. You'll never be anything but a pathetic piece of shit whining about how the rest of world shits on your fighters. Let me know when a drone strike kills 20 more of you, we don't even have to shoot face to face :)

  • 6:05 ........O>>>>M>>G!!!!!

  • Trying to look for historical accuracies in a blockbuster is a bit ridiculous if you ask me. The whole point of the movie is to exaggerate and overdramatize events to make for better storylines. Obviously nobody in the present has fought along Wallance and historical books only give so much material to make a movie. You gotta make some things up to make it watchable. If you want historical accuracy, go watch the freaking History Channel, not a movie meant to entertain.

  • @lpycb42 According to modern historians William Wallace was a very large man for his time and really was a larger than life warrior!!!

  • 0:47 -2:34 is the best single bit in the entire score. It always makes me feel like I've won something, like I just beat an army of a million or something hah.

  • Is there anyone who can send me the bagpipe tune that starts at 6:00? it's the same as Outlawed tunes, but I can't find that one anywhere... If you do have that sheet music in .bww or .midi, pm me !

  • @gamespy1302 if you get the notes , send them to me too !!! thanks man ;)

  • i actually think walleces last words would have been

    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

  • @chinook654 No, not Sir Wallace. William was a man, and he knew that his last words would be the most impacting on others. He wanted to die, continuing to fight for the reason he was there in the first place. A Thiarna agus beannaigh Sir William Wallace chosaint.

  • @chinook654 Actually, he would not say a thing. In real life, he was stripped, gutted, half hanged, drawn and forced to view his intenstines being burned. I think ow would be the last thing.

  • i apologise joebloggs 139 but if you can get yourself soooo wound up over peoples comments then you should save the money that you spend on internet access (where you annoy people) and use it for the red light district, im sure theres a she-male there who can extract your tension, failin that just unplug your laptop n fuck off dick

  • joebloggs139 is a twat, attention joebloggs139 is a twat, sorry did i say that to loud what i meant to say was JOE BLOGGS139 IS A TWAT, probably a virgin too, and likes morris dancing on a sunday when the antique roadshow isnt on

  • I have to say it.... i always cry @ 1:50

  • Love this movie and the scots, but where woed wallace in this movie be without his trusty irish friend? :D

  • people who criticize this film and make accusations against it and all, can go jump in a ditch and can go fuck themselves, its an awesome movie no matter if its not historically accurate.

  • свобода !

  • "In the year of our lord 1314 patriots of scotland, starving and outnumbered charged the fields of Bannockburn. They fought like warrior poets, they fought like scotsmen.....and won their freedom." - Mel Gibson as William Wallace

  • @Sh4d0w22 Fuck Yeah!!! You just gave me a boner!!!

  • sophie marceau was a good choice for this movie. shes how a princess should look.

  • i would masterbait to this song

  • sie mögen uns das Leben nehmen, aber niemals nehmen sie uns unsere Freiheit.

  • Bannockburn battle is a example of honour and courage

  • @EnOrue

There were no battle in Bannockburn. It was just the execution place. But you are right,it was really an example of courage .

  • People seem to forget what movies are all about, we're supposed to suspend disbelief when we watch a movie. But whether its accurate matters not, this will always be an amazing film and a true piece of American art

  • I am Northern irish, Love this film, i have traces of scottish heritige in me through the Ulster Scots, our accents are basically the same ! love it

  • FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @pringle959 yes

  • The history in the movie was flawed, but the story is enough to inspire those who feel that the world is against them that there are always possibilities to attain victories, in spite of the odds. It is called principle.

  • zero dislike cool guess everyone hear has good taste :)

  • @saxonwall. Yes I'm well aware of the history of England and the English. The problem here is the English as we know them from both history and today is pretty much he same people. They will conquer and that is what they became. Conquerers of all..Once they were conquered, they moved forward in that mode for the rest of time. they have never stopped. So really its irrelavant that they were conquered, and that was who was doing it at that time. The point is that they continued that stance

  • This was played at my friends funeral who was in my regiment. He was from scotland and died a proud scotsman. R.I.P Gibbo................

  • i get chills down my back

that is, i get a 7 minute 19 second long chill.... beautiful

  • So proud that my blood originated in Renfrewshire Scotland.

  • the zero dislikes represents justin biebers' vagina

  • @ADZ101982 I think perhaps you should check your history just a bit. The reason the Scots went after the English is because the English have been raiding and goin after them alot longer than that. And the Romans before that. So maybe your just not liking the scots or are of english decent .. lol .. either way .. the Scots are a clan system, which is tribal in nature just as the Celts, Gauls, Geats, Vikings and Picts. All of whom were very much warriors and choose to be free men

  • Comment removed

  • Scottish armys went south of the border more often than English armys went north. Long before Longshanks set foot in Scotland Scots attacked England. After victory at Bannockburn Scottish armys and raids into northern England continued for over 300 years until checked by Oliver Cromwell. Nothing against Scots but they loved conflict against the English. But at that time in history everyone was fighting everyone else in the world.

  • I have this soundtrack and many times i hear. When i hear, i just thinking we must to love each other, our lands, our family, in the end i cry. Nobody can't take with violence our lands, so we must to protect. Peace for everyone...

  • @nelinikci Shutup flower child

  • @ChriskOsborne better flower child than Damned Nazi who want War.

  • @MatKoReN The day there's no violence in the world, then get back to me. Until then, war does solve things, especially when your family and friends may be raped or killed by another country and/or group of people.

I would rather be a "damned nazi" and defend my country than smoke pot and watch as my family is killed. Walk a day in my shoes, a marine's shoes please.

  • @ChriskOsborne Defend Family is other thing. Ok you are soldier, no offence. But were you family killed? Peace is far better than damned war. And fight brings just more fights. Yea that is right that on this world peace was and is never. Annimals killing each other, ppl killing each other. Its killing world. But is beter to be a killer for "killing" country, or life for yourself and those who you like, not life for country? Ok you are Marine but were you in action? Did you killed someone?

  • @MatKoReN Actually I'm a data network specialist, so no I haven't killed anyone since I'm stationed in hawaii where there's tons of "peace". I've been trained to kill, so if that day comes I most likely would.

  • @ChriskOsborne ok, maybe when you will kill, then you will know how is war useless. And defending country too. Defend Family is right, but are you defending then when you are soldier?

  • @MatKoReN A soldier is someone in the army. Where did you learn your spelling and grammar anyway?

  • @ChriskOsborne I know, army dont defend family man, and Iam from Slovakia and learned English by myself, no english in school.

  • @ChriskOsborne I think you are a child Jackass. You didn't understand me what i wrote.

  • After listening to this, I feel I can just go out and flip this fucking world upside down.

  • Lol, Wallace can die a million times over and its still epic.

  • "It did not have the effect that longshanks planned"-favorite line

  • This here is music to make a grown man cry.

  • @thedudethatkilledyou man i hear you there...

  • If I ever meet Mel Gibson I'll punch him in the face, this film is an insult to Scotland.

The Bruce never betrayed Wallace, the Sheriff of Dumbarton betrayed Wallace, they didn't even wear kilts, tartan wasn't even invented then FFS.

Biggest load of yankie hollywood pish ever made and Mel Gibson is a fuckin cunt.

  • @NoriokoTheMagicSkunk it is a movie not a historical documentary.

  • @Kratatch

Robert the Bruce is Scotlands greatest and patriot ever and hollywood made him out to be a traitor, that is a disgrace.

  • @NoriokoTheMagicSkunk so what? It is a movie. Some stuff have to be changed for it to work in a way that ppl want to see it.
