The US didn't have any real problems with Iran until we overthrew their democratically elected government in 1953. Then we gave Iraq chemical weapons to use against Iran in the 8 year war. Now we have the country surrounded with troops. Why wouldn't Iran be suspicious of the US? We have done nothing to improve relations with that country. Nationalism is the defeat of cooperation, and every culture has its own perspective on the world. Americans need to look from others points of view.
