well prehistoric animals have been found before its not impossible that this animal exists on a lot of ilands and more prehistoric animals... i do not belive that they are dead and have been dead for manny years i belive in that we have not descoverd them yet... erth is huge and lots of ilands to descover and lot of ground to cover to faind those creatures

In Jurassic period we should remember that then air had higher content of oxygen than today, not to mention pre-industrial air oxygen ratio per million. Then they could grow bigger, now if they lived they would be smaller, not necessarily average in size as birds grow to be.
