Higher regulations in fuel efficiency,security and overall higher cost of building a car. Gas is not as cheap as it was in the 60's . Thats the reason for that. That has been taking the fun out of the cars. They have to balance cost vs security vs power vs fuel consumption vs quality material and weight. These is not the 60's. There are new cars with that kind of HP AND comply with the government standards... but they are very expensive.

V8 Modular is not "heavier"...it's much lighter, it has overhead cams which means less parts (no pushrods, rocker arms, etc....) and is only 281ci, the LS1 is 347ci, so where do you get the theory it's overweight? Now Mustangs are heavy, yes, but that's even more reason it's funny to see an overweight car with a 281ci engine run right behind a F-body LS1 car stock for stock :)....

a stock 05' - 09' Mustang GT produces 300bhp, 270-280rwhp, that's amazing efficiency....now put some bolt ons on to that beast, get it to about 400rwhp, and see what the Chevy or MOPAR club think about it then, if you want to go further, supercharge it, put some 4.10s, and some heads and cams and then you got a bad ass 600+hp Super Car :)

Higher regulations in fuel efficiency,security and overall higher cost of building a car. Gas is not as cheap as it was in the 60's . Thats the reason for that. That has been taking the fun out of the cars. They have to balance cost vs security vs power vs fuel consumption vs quality material and weight. These is not the 60's. There are new cars with that kind of HP AND comply with the government standards... but they are very expensive.

The ford modular V8s are overweight shit-buckets that have been responsible for over 500,000 recalls. They'd be better off sticking the new sequencial turbo, "ecoboost" v6 motors in the mustang and give up on the "Windsors".

V8 Modular is not "heavier"...it's much lighter, it has overhead cams which means less parts (no pushrods, rocker arms, etc....) and is only 281ci, the LS1 is 347ci, so where do you get the theory it's overweight? Now Mustangs are heavy, yes, but that's even more reason it's funny to see an overweight car with a 281ci engine run right behind a F-body LS1 car stock for stock :)....

a stock 05' - 09' Mustang GT produces 300bhp, 270-280rwhp, that's amazing efficiency....now put some bolt ons on to that beast, get it to about 400rwhp, and see what the Chevy or MOPAR club think about it then, if you want to go further, supercharge it, put some 4.10s, and some heads and cams and then you got a bad ass 600+hp Super Car :)

True. But you could just port the stock heads, port the blower(2.8 KB) or (3.4 whipple) and you could be making lol about 700+hp and tq. Its amazing what you can get out of these cars. Because the fuel and air ratio is so precise that there efficient and powerful! I just love it!

oh...hey Chad, I see your name is 302 Beast, that means you must have a 5.0L, that engine does have forged internals, but unfortunately, the 4.6L 3v or 2v doesn't...now the 4.6L 4V that came in the 03' & 04' Cobra DOES, as well as the 5.4L engine in the 07' GT500

Well see its just the filter its not the intake. I havent had the money yet to finish off the air intake part of my truck. Thats my next thing to buy there just so fucking high for my truck. Its like $350 for an intake and filter for my truck from K&N.

Man i get killer props on my exhaust because its 2.5 to 2.5 dual turn downs and it sounds fucking awesome! But if i keep the truck its gunn have an aluminator engine supercharged with SLP loudmouth exhaust and long tubes. Possibly gunna throw some Lightning rims on there also and a cowl hood.

I believe it is a GT Vert. The vert should have hug with him running a low 14. Something definitely happened because I ran a 14.12 with mine stock. I do like the Chargers though, I have seen a couple good ones down at MIR in Maryland.

i love the fact that these ford guys talk shit even tho the proof of the lacking is in front of them. GM has been making 12 second cars for decades. Example the V6 Grand National GNX, the GMC typhoon and syclone just to name a few. Since the sixties Ford hasnt perfomed the way GM or Chrysler has and does.Like the super bee and the plymoth dayton on the mopar end then the ruler of the late 60s and early 70s the chevelle 454SS the shelbys of the day fell short. This was a good race but I think the mustang was a V6 - there's no GT emblems for one, and two, the hood scoop and dual exhaust could've been add-ons. I think a true GT would've given the Dodge a run for its money. BTW I'm a "Ford Fan" but Dodge is still cool by me!
