i've lived here my entire life.

  • nvm...saw the ending

  • what about douglas? i feel abused.

  • Damn pat. This is some fuckin funny shit man...

  • WHat is this!!! Why is it so funny!!! I grew up in the Sayward valley on Vancouver Island and this really strikes a chords with me.

  • THANE REPRESENT! oh, i forgot...is Thane even a part of Juneau??! lol

  • I plan to make this little web series called "Experimenting with the Tube", and it's just these popular or well-known YouTube videos edited to make 'em say different things. Ummm.... would you mind terribly if I used some of the hippie's words for the Pilot Experiment?

  • wewt wewt juneau ak represent

  • I stumbled across your channel today. I actually have this video on my computer from when I downloaded it off your site several years ago. I saw it when it originally "aired" at the film festival. It made me miss Juneau terribly, and of course I laughed. I used to live out N. Douglas, but I was a downtowner. Thanks so much for posting it!

  • Reppin' the 907 <3

  • I love this video and I just learned how to add videos to my myspace and facebook so this has to go up... on both.

I give it a ten a f'ing 10! give this to the Juneau Convention and Visitors Bureau!

    cheers, Parr

  • Thanks!!

  • I thought the hippie dude was from Girdwood, the coolest town in Alaska.

  • hehehe if you live/have lived here, you'll get this. Great job - this is hilarious (especially the very, very, very end!)

  • I lived in Juneau for 5 yrs ,i lived in the valley ,always hiked east and west glacier trails, and spent my weekends downtown with my musician freinds playin at the local taverns, lots of good weed ,but very expensive,The Christian angle of Juneau is a JOKE dont they realize we made God ,loved night hiking the mining ruins and endless hrs on perserverance.I live in Canada now ...i miss Juneau,my heart is there...Nigelingus

  • someday's i like to live here and sometimes i don't, but anyway's i think that valley you get left alone more and when you go downtown there is alway's people, well duh but the point i'm trying to make is if you get alone with people than go downtown if not buy a house and stay in the valley! muhahaha

  • Ugh, so glad I finally moved away from Juneau...

The major battle is between the treehugers and the rednecks... The latter have been losing that war for a number of years...

  • They're not drunks they like to drink. There's a difference.

  • awesome, hilarious - thanks

  • love this.

  • Hey, that was great! My name is Eleanor Koenig and I lived in Juneau a long time, and I miss All my friends. In the valley and the downtown area. Now I live in Marquette MI. just one thing I did'nt like the one swear word that the one girl said, but other than that It was funny! Ellie.

  • This is GREAT! But . . . we all know the place to go is beautiful downtown North Tee Harbor! It's quiet . . . scenic . . . and almost snow free!

  • c6h8n2, Tee Harbor is a great little hideout! I'm envious.

    -Pat

  • Marvelous - Simply marvelous. Slightly different from Dunster!

  • I believe that state capitol was described as looking like the average motor vehicles department of most lower 48 states :) It was Mark Russell who said that in a pbs one hour program.

  • granskare,

Yep, the capitol building is pretty impressive. They tried to have a design competition in 2004 to build a new one but it didn't work out so well.

  • I used have a vhs of that Mark Russell hour but made the mistake of loaning it to a friend who prompted lost it. So a new one has been built. We did see an image of the one he spoke of and it sure looked like a motor vehicle hq or a small insurance building. I wish I hadn't loaned that vhs because some bits would have been great for youtube :)

  • haha i liked that

    expecially the trent brockman part

  • hpmn92,

Yeah that was a little nod to the Simpsons.

  • the down town is so much better

  • Beautiful! John Leo is a wonderful hooker.

  • Yeah.. he's got those long long legs

  • i have lived in both! haha roll laugh roll again!

  • That was funny. But I know one thing you missed. The airport is in the valley.

  • Louie's...I mean Douglas in the house! Thanks Pat. This cured my homesickness.

  • Probably one of the most truthful satires about alaska I have ever seen. Brava!!!!

  • This is SO true! (Except maybe the hooker)

  • I liked the bit where the whore negotiated and then got in the car best, great acting.

    Where's Angus?

  • Chadhead,

Good call, we'll have to get Angus into a film!

  • Sums it up

  • Nice, I have lived in both... well done :o)

  • Thanks cessna175!
