My personal opinion is that if prostitution was made legal the RIGHT way (girls get checked for disease every week, condoms always used, girls over 18, taxed, screened and regulated by the government), you get rid of the bad stuff... there would be no pimps, underaged prostitutes, girls being prostitutes by force, etc...
For example, Amsterdam and France, among other countries...

@autismpete oh my word. you DO understand that legalization will NOT stop problems. you DO, right? alcohol is legal. HOW'S EVERYBODY HANDLING ALCOHOL? still have drunken driver deaths. still have alcoholism and alcohol related domestic violence, neglect & abuse. get the picture?
furthermore, for a government to TAX prostitution would mean that it would be pimping it's enthusiastic and willing citizens for MONEY. it would be the prostitution of prostitution and is completely RETARDED.
