  • I just got the news from a friend that she has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and has 3 years to live. We our both working on her bucket list and we are proving the doctors wrong about her life limit. She is going to outlive those three years no matter what. Keep going strong!

  • Which cancers has the medical establishment cured, without surgery?? Could a special enzyme be made to transform the cells back to normal? Is there a scale used in determining dangerous cells? Could hormone treatment be used to prevent metastasis?? Can people be immune to cancer genetically?? Could we use pigs pancreas transplanted into people?? Any theory would be great.

  • Cancer spread to my mum's pancreas. The pancreas is responsible for hormones and keeps the body in homeostasis. It is hard to find unless a scan is done. I had testicular cancer, it was removed I was the lucky one. Gene therapy is thrown around a lot. Everyone get regular blood checks, keep informed, learn from disaster, and find an outlet. Governments should automatically test for prostate, ovarian, pancreas, and colon carcenoma; when getting routine blood tests.

  • THEY TOOK OUR JOBS

  • RIP Steve Jobs.

  • My Father was just diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer the night before last. We were told it was stage 1, which was semi good news. But then a phone call last night is leaving me worried. Tumor is bigger than they thought and it has spread to his lympnodes. This is by far the hardest thing I've ever had to go through. I pray that my Father pulls through this. My Father is my world, my life, my existence. Without him, I don't know what would happen..

  • this is what i lost my mum to. i loved my mum and she told me 1 day she had it. her eyes were yellow and shit i didn't know what to do. it took my mum. and now my dad might have a cancer...my life is just so fucked up.

  • my grandfather is battling this right now, he has his good days and his bad. i wish there was more awareness and government help for this. us the people and our families should have more ability and power to help fight such a ruthless disease

  • My dad was diagnosed on August 10, 2010 and lost his battle with PC two weeks ago on July 19, 2011. He fought with everything he had but in the end it wasn't enough. We must do everything we can to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer.

  • i recon in 50 to 100 years there will be a cure for all illnesses....my father died of heart disease 32 years ago...... now its curable through medication, bypass, stent implants etc... today he would be still with us... he was 46, his own father died at 52 of the same illness... heart disease is rampant in my family.... so don't give up hope.. a cure may be around the corner..

  • My mom lost her battle on May 16th at 1:00am. She made it to my birthday at least.

    I love you, mom!

  • hey all....these stories are so heart wrenching....Have you ever heart of upper cervical specific chirorpactic care. It focuses with removing interference at the brainstem(which controls all the functions in your body). Allowing the body to heal itself the way it was designed by God. Check up upcspine.com....there's so much scientific research out there supporting this work.

  • My mom got diagnosed in November.. She's still alive.. but she won't be for long. I graduate high school on May 27th.. She probably won't even make it that long. My birthday is May 14th.. Technically tomorrow. She only has days to weeks.. There are no more months :( Hospice can do nothing for her. There's never any fluid in the bag anymore and she hasn't ate in 4 days, I don't think... She can barely speak.. She's not going to make it. I live with knowing that everyday.

  • My grandmother died this year's Mother's day because she had the pancreatic cancer. We just found out that she has cancer when we gave her the CT scan last May 3 2011. We were shock to hear that she has already a stage 4 cancer right after her CT scan.

  • doctors have just found a growth on my grandads pancreas , im worried :(

  • @lewiecee We're keeping your grandpa in our thoughts. Please let us know if there is anything we can do. Would you like information about our Patient and Liaison Services (PALS) Program?

  • @StopPancreaticCancer thank you , theres not very much but i appreciate your reply , my grandpa is now very ill and theres not much anyone can do now. thanks.

    -lewiecee.

  • @lewiecee I'm very sorry to hear that. All you can do is pray... hopefully he's quite old though at least and has lived a long life.

  • @lewiecee So sorry about that :(

  • @TwistedMind6969 thank you for your respect , tragically he passed away a few months ago at the age of 52 , it was very upsetting , i am sure he is in a better place now!

  • Time time when my dad was told to the day he died was about three weeks.

  • Such an aweful thing so horrible, I just lost my aunt Nov 1st, she went downhill so fast, we did so many things together in the summer and then in August forget it she was bound to bed although she was sick, she was a trooper and I can't tell you how much I loved her and will miss her. It needs to be researched more, it is aweful suffering she had to go through and it was hard on all her family, she was one of a kind much like all those who lost thier loved ones. The Lord carried her home.

  • I lost my mum five days ago because of this horrible disease. She was diagnosed less then two months ago...

  • uncle found out about it, and he was dead within a week.

  • my dad has un-operatable pancreatic cancer , he has chemo & drink avemar (fermented wheatgerm) , he is well and still going strong and feel like normal . its been since aug'09 til today sept'10. avemar does make a lot of difference to him. hope this info would help others

  • After 3 months in a US hospital, the only thing the US-trained doctors know how to do is "treat" NOT "cure" patients and charge hundreds of thousands of dollars, - and still NO cure! Why is Europe more advanced that the USA in healthcare? You prescribe an outrageously expensive medication called Creon that requires a prescription and costs nearly $ 100 when I buy Pancreatin Tablets (Quadruple strength) online for $20 & it has the same ingredients.

  • My uncle died almost a month ago of this terrible illness.

  • I tried to post a video response about my late husband's battle with pancreatic cancer titled "another kind of war", but it keeps disappearing from this wall...Anyone interested can watch it on my channel. It's a cry for help in finding a cur

  • I tried to post a video response about my late husband's battle with pancreatic cancer titled "another kind of war", but it keeps disappearing from this wall...Anyone interested can watch it on my channel. It's a cry for help in finding a cure.

  • My mom died of pancreatic cancer about 18 years ago. She lived almost 2 years and I think after watching her suffer for those 2 years I think it would have been better for her to pass right away

  • Prayers to you! You are a survivor! My brother passed on January 14th 2010. I am in it to support & charities to prevent it.

  • My uncle was just told that he had pancreatic cancer. The doctors said it might be too late to even get surgery for it....he has less than a 8 months......it sucks so much. He's like a dad to me...

If there's a person out there with the cure to cancer, hiding in the closet. Now would be the best time to come out and save us...

  • @goe5

I suggest you and your uncle read a book "Cancer is not a disease, it's a survival mechanism". There is hope for your uncle to recover completelly if he understands that cancer is just the body's way of protecting him and his body from further dammage. The only thing he has to do is make a break from the past emotionally and feed his body with enough water, oxygen, sunshine and all the basic minerals.

  • @goe5

he just has to feed his body now more than ever and never go to any "cancer treatments" by doctors especially chemotherapy which just poisons the body and incites cancer to spread.

  • @gledalac1979 I wish it was that easy....it's already too late to do anything. His skin already turned yellow and the cancer spread too much...

  • @goe5

so he was poisoned by chemotherapy and drugs ?

The fact is it's never too late, the cancer is not killing him as it is the last line of defense but the organ is failling because he is not feeding it rightly and taking doctor prescribed poisons. Don't listen to the doctors , read the book I mentioned

  • @gledalac1979 dude....it happened before he even went to the doctors. And he eats everything he needs to eat. Are you saying that the doctors are corrupt or something??? Grow up...you're not making this any easier on me. In fact......you're making it worse. Quit replying to my comments and go fuck yourself. My uncle is doing the best he can and you're making it sound like he's not trying. Go FUCK YOURSELF!!! Doctors are heroes, not murderers

  • @goe5 I wish your uncle the best and I hope he makes full recovery man. Not just your uncle but everyone that has cancer or any shitty disease. God Bless you ALL!

  • August 06 my Mom began to experience stomach and back aches. I accompanied my Mom to her doctor who attributed the pain to medication recently taking for osteoporosis and told to stop the medication. Week after that office visit we rushed my Mom to the hospital with severe cramps. On Sep 27, 2006 a doctor asked me to step out of my Mom's hospital room-Pancreatic cancer-Nothing they could do-Sorry. With no hope here in the US, we sought help abroad but on Dec 27, 2006 my Mom lost her battle.

  • my mum has just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and im so scared for her this video has made me terrified :'(((

  • my grandma as diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in february 2009, she was given 1-3 months to live and passed early march 2009. the people at city of hope in duarte california were the kindest most helpful people to her and our family, and i would tell anyone with a family member with cancer to talk to them.

  • My dad was diagnosed in January 2008, he had whipple procedure in february 2008, went into remission then las summer the cancer came back with metastases in his bones, liver, lungs... he passed away January 16, 2010; I miss him everyday, it is so hard to live without him.

  • my grandmother was diagnosed with Pancreatic 21 months ago she was given 2 to six months without treatment. she went to virginia mason hospitol in seattel W.a for treatment. its getting exspensve to keep going out there to se the doctor if any one has any orginazations that could help it would be appreciated

  • my godmother died today of pancreatic cancer. she was diagnosed in the summer of 2009. she lived till january 2010. i miss her so much already. she was my second mother. thank you for this video. hopefully research for pancreatic cancer will be more prominent and will develop more over the next few years.

    Liv x

  • My mother has just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer about a month ago! She is going to be one of 21 people involved in a relatively new clinical trial drug called TH-302 which will be administered to her at The Mayo Clinic In Scottsdale, AZ! It's been tested in patients prior to this particular group, but our doctor wouldn't give us percentages or survival rates and didn't sound very optimistic about the treatment! Please contact me on my page if you have any knowledge of this drug!

  • My dad was diagnosed Sept 10, 2008 and passed away Dec 27, 2008. We were completely blind-sided by this horrible disease. My dad was the healthiest person I know. I pray for all of you who have lost to this, and that SOMEDAY there may be a cure.

  • the most common symptom is this...so listen....i'm not hungry...too much food..when pc spreads your liver can't process food....it makes you sick or all the fluids accumulate in your abdomen..that is what a NG tube is for..pc KILLS..make your plans that is being honest....

  • I lost a dear friend on Christmas night of 2008, I just found out last week, it's horrible, he was in great shape a health nut, but it is a shock I never thought anything like that would afflict him

  • yesterday september 24th. my 19th birthday

my step dad which i love dearly passed away due to pancreatic cancer. im sorry but i really didn't think it could happen especially due to my mom and my step dad just married 5 months ago. i find it really unfair.

the reason i post this is because this is a disease that not many know of. and i with my step dad was here right now. especially to see me on my 19th birthday.

  • I agree with you. ALLOT more needs to be done to treat it.

Does anyone live in the UK here and think they spend way to much time and money into breast cancer? I can grantee that breast cancer will be mentioned every other day in the papers and almost every day on the news.

I think that even the NHS forgets that people can get cancer of every organ in the body so why do they keep beating round the bush with breast cancer all the time and getting nowhere.

  • R.I.P. Karen Lee Combs 1/17/55 - 8/12/09

    You are forever loved.

  • I'm pretty sure I have it. I won't try to cure it, just let it do it's thing.....the pain is already bretty bad. Oh well. Life for all of us is just one stage of many.

  • Don't give up. The people who overcome such conditions make positive changes and forge on. It is a difficult challenge, no doubt. But you have power to improve or even cure your condition to varying degrees. Do not give in to genetic fatalism, it is an acquired disease and does not have to dictate your life. Eliminate variables positively associated w/all cancers, diet DOES help.

  • You can't be pretty sure you have something you know nothing about, are you looking for sympathy. There's people out there that have this for real and may not have long to live, there you are thinking? ''I've got it'' Get a grip! you can't just 'think' you've got something? it could be loads of other things. Count yourself lucky because you may have something minor wrong with you, not like so many other's who have not been so lucky. It's people like you that ''piss me off''

  • sorry

  • my dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer with matastasis on april 22/09, he passed away on 06/01/09. 3 days before he died we were told he was going to live 3 months. God had mercy on him and took him quickly. I miss him alot.

  • Sorry to hear about your Dad, May he Rest In Peace.

We all take life for granted some times, when we never know whats in store for us in the future. I know i do myself, i think i should do more with my spare time, and not just waste it doing nothing, because lifes too short. We're already blessed to be here in the frist place. I've learned that it's not worth worring over silly little things? like ''bills'' stuff like,

Im saying lifes way to sort, we need to love more, .

  • thank you, I am starting to find peace with that. I believe in God, and I also believe my dad is around, looking after me and my family. In his final days, I used to see my dad sitting at his bed leaning forward on a chair. and I think of how many chances I had to go and sit next to him and rub his back while talking to him, I never did it. I know he forgave me. He was great, I mis him alot.

  • my father might have pancreatic cancer. he is at the cleveland clinic right now. it makes me very sad, but infact there is a cure. find an herbalist that knows their stuff.

  • I am deathly scared I have this. I may be a hypochondriac, but I'm going to get a full physical soon. I'm 22, no family history of this disease. I lived the fear of realizing my mortality and it's crippling. I can only pray to GOD that I don't have this. My heart and soul are with anyone suffering from any form of cancer.

  • you gotta embrace death and laugh in the face of it. Don't dwell on the negative because you will only cause yourself mental sickness as you grow older.

  • Why do you think you have this disease? I have had episodes of hypochrondria before too. I am 24, and have scared myself to death confirming all the symptoms I've had of horrible diseases on google. Fact us, the same symptoms can be caused by hundreds of benign causes that are 500X more likely at our age than something rare like "pancreatic cancer". I am sure you are fine. My "abdominal pain" ended up being IBS... Dont worry you will be ok

  • i agree with u but u kno when there is a abnormal pain for such a period of time n becomes intolerable u wanna check up on it n it can be a # of things until they claim finally its Pan Can b/w a # of docs then how does one proceed. I believe something had to be done wrong or not caught early enough cuz a member of my fam just was diagnose with Pan Can a month ago n within weeks now they the docs say the patient doesn't have much time left.. it has spread n exhibits multiple organ failures, how?

  • dont give up i have it i know its hard but try and fight it and enjoy the time we have left

  • mi padre fallecio hace 2 meses de cancer pancreatico :( es una enfermedad muy culminante y destructora

  • my mother lost her year long battle with pancreatic cancer on june 10, 2009. She was an amazingly strong woman to hold on almost one year as she was diagnosed june 13 2008. I miss her dearly. She went to cancer center treatment of america near chicago. It was a wonderful hospital midwestern regional in zion illinois. God bless you all!

  • i have pancreatic cancer i know what you mum went through i hope i live that long but the pain is the worse part i give up smoking to live longer with my 4 young kids but how ironic was that i am 39 . i hope your mum r.i.p good luck to all you out there who are fighting this cancer try not give up i know igive up some times but my kids keep me going i was diagnosed december 2008 the 6th so i count my blessings i am still here.ance

  • I am sure you heard this many times, I hope you find cure, but try to make every day count and live it as if it was the day.

  • My brother's wife's mother was just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and she only has a few weeks to live. It already spread into her liver and there is nothing they can do. We are shocked

  • My Grandmother was just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Her only sign was a bit of gallbladder trouble (which she's had before). The doctors have been trying to figure this out since January, and it took till early March for them to actually mention the word cancer. Last week the doctors said she'd need a tiny bit of radiation and she'd be fine, now today the doctors said they can't actually do anything and to go home. How is it things can go so wrong in a week?

  • 12 months i was told it was gallstones till they found out it was pancreatic cancer in 1 day my life was tyurned upside down my dreams shattered

  • WHY DO PEOPLE GIVE UP SO FAST? WHY DON'T THEY LOOK AT ALTERNATIVES? I WILL NEVER GET THAT, EVER! MY DAD WAS DIAGNOSED WITH PANCREATIC CANCER AND CURED HIMSELF WITH THIS BOOK Cancer: Curing the Incurable Without Surgery, Chemotherapy, or Radiation

by William Donald Kelley. IT TOOK OVER 7 MONTHS AND A LOT OF HARD WORK BUT HE IS CANCER FREE!!!!!

  • I just got news a few minutes ago that my grandmother has Pancreatic Cancer. Does anyone know of anything at all besides the whipple procedure. I want to speak to the doctor.....Its funny, but my Grandmother, Father, both have it directly and a few people from each side of my family have had a certain type of cancer aswell, I guess chances are good that I will one day be joining your friends and family.

  • i lost a friend to pancreatic cancer 12 yrs ago tomorrow..im tinking about her tonight...she lived 6 weeks from diagnosis ...backache and bloated feeling was her only symptoms untill then...gallblader like symptoms..ill never forget the doctor telling me before he told her, ill never forget any of it...it was and remains the most devistating 6 weeks of my life..i couldnt do anything to help that was the hardest part..Peace and love to all of you suffering...may God help you all and bless you

  • @centervilletn why would the doctor tell you before her? I cant believe thats the case.

  • hey seattle, that's where my mom died from pancreatic cancer, want to hook up?

  • maureen....my heart goes out to you, i know what you are going through, my mother was diagnosed with stage 1V pancreatic cancer in october 2008, i lost her on dec12th,2008, words cannot express the emptiness i have without her so i know what you are going through.

  • 2% of cancers are Pancreatic. 6% of cancer deaths are Pancreatic. Pancreatic Cancer receives the least amount of per capita spending then any other cancer. Why? Politics. It's not a politically correct cancer

  • just lost my dad to Pancreatic Cancer after 11 months just want to give my love and full supprot to all

  • See safe alternatives to treating cancer at foodmatters[dot]tv

  • Maureen....you have done the right thing by helping raise awareness for this terrible disease. I'm sure your mom is looking over you and is proud. Stay strong, stay positive, and keep remembering the happy times you had with your mom. May God bless you. *big hugs*

  • Thank You Maureen

I knew your Mom when she first got clean in San Diego, she was a powerful women and helped the growth of NA in San Diego. I work in the chronic illness field and awareness is the key . Keep up the good work!

    John L

  • Hey Mo...I showed this to my students who were clearly moved...told them you asked for a consciousness raising lesson. I love you and am always proud of you.

    Love your dad

  • Maureen

I'm so proud of you. Your so amazing and your mom would be so proud of you. It's great that you are helping to get the word out to help others with this terrible disease.

I miss my sister so much but seeing her in you and your sister helps so much.

    Love you Aunt Amy

  • Thank you Maureen! Your Mom would be so proud of you. She was a woman of action in her recovery and now you are taking action to get this awareness out to others. Praying for you and your family. I will support this cause.

  • Well done all of you that contributed to this video! My heart and best wishes go out to all the pancreatic cancer patients, survivors and their families. This is truly a horrible way to die. Maureen shared about my wife Lisa and how she lead such a healthy life style. She had none of the risk factors, am amazed at the number of people I meet that know someone or a relative that has had this and it seems to be more common. Let's find a cure!

  • Well done and thank you for creating a video that finally explains exactly how devastating this cancer is. My friends have never understood why I lost my dad so soon after he was diagnosed with this. I have now sent this to everyone I know. I support this cause and now I have something to show why it needs more funding. Well Done!

  • this video is so touching...my grandfather died 3 months after diagnosis...i live to support this cause!!

  • Great video! My mom died 4 weeks after diagnosis. This video summarizes the problem very well. Thanks!

  • What a hopeless feeling... dear Maureen, I am so sorry for your loss. How many more precious souls will be needlessly lost while we spend trillions on destruction and nearly nothing on construction... What a waste!

  • Hey Andy, it's your cousin Tommy. Just wanted to let you know that I was very interested in what your video had to say about this disease. I am like everyone else in that I had no idea it was so threatening. I think it's great you are raising awareness about it. I'll tell my friends to watch it. Take care.

  • thanks dude, i appreciate it. Are you still moving out to LA when you graduate??

  • I am not sure if it will be right away. I interned in Austin over the summer and really liked the film community there. But I will definitely be coming out to LA I just haven't decided when.
