The truth is that Swedish viking weren't able to invade great, well-defended kingdoms, they were emigrants, merchants, mercenaries and explorers, the rus. They surely were great warriors as well as norwegian and danish, but they weren't so good organized to be a strong faction. So, it's historically logical to use danish (and norwegian in Med2 KINGDOMS).

They have found roman coins and jewlery in some places in western norway and they've come to the conclusion that some Norse did indeed serve in the Roman army.

Norway started existing in the 700s denmark in the 800s, noone knows for how long Sweden had existed, but tacitus wrote year 98 that the Sweden proper, Svealand, had one single ruler. But the Swedish line of monarchs is drawn since the late 800s when Swedes conquered Götaland.

Viking Age starts in 793 by Lindisfarne raid, after 3 centuries since the fall of the Roman Empire. Danish were Angles and Jutes.

Unfortunately not, the Danes are the representation of Vikings in Medieval 2. But there is a Viking invasion expansion for one of these games that might include Norway. I wont know for sure though since I never had a chance to test said expansion.

Forgot to mention this, but the music you got in the background.. Sure aint Norse, sounds more Samii or Native american. But it's far from being anywhere close to Norse. Judging from the name I'd guess they're Samii, a group of people who emigrated to Norway, sweden and finland from the russian territories. They were hated by the Vikings and were still prosecuted till the late 1970's. So you made a fatal miss there ;p
