I just saw these guys today at the Volcom Skate Demo in Albany, NY. KICKASS BAND. I even managed to get Andy's Pick. Very Awesome band.

this new riff filled metal stuff is sooo awsome! if u like this band u shud check out the band The Sword--they have similar sounds, and if anyone knows any other kickass band that has the same feel as these guys let me know

might want to check out... Kyuss, they were around in the nineties, one of the pioneers for this kind of sound.... also.. torche, weedeater, pelican, goatsnake, sleep, electric wizard, fu manchu... I think some of these bands clearly influenced ASG's sound, ASG took the heavy guitar riffs and style of these bands and put hooks all throughout to get their own sound... IMO anyway...

yo! ya kyuss is great i have some songs. thanks for the other ones im looking them up now. ya its kind of like nirvana with the whole grunge thing--they had that commercial sound but the real fans listen to other bands of the same genre. thanks!

hmm I don't think I'd consider this Grunge at all, If this had come out in the nineties I'm sure it would've been clumped into that, but grunge it's not, there's definitely a different approach to the sound here than what the grunge bands had. To me, key phrase there haha, this is definitely metal... there's more of a sophistication to this music than a nirvana or typical grunge record

haha no way ASG is grunge =P im just looking at grunge to see how a genre explodes like that and there is always a band that has those melodic hooks in them that helps bring it to the mainsteam (like ASG and how Nirvana was for grunge)
