@postman220289 Nah thank you man for uploading it! I don't suppose you'll upload the newer ones when they're on? We can't get this show in England so i have no idea when they're on etc. Cheers
It's true what JR was saying about how the fans used to be. My dad went to a WWF or WWWF event (not sure which) at the old Boston Garden back in the 70's and he accidently bumped into some Puerto Rican guy on the stairs and the dude flipped out and pulled a knife out and started going crazy. Luckily an usher managed to grab him or else I might not even exist rght now lol
Suprised Tazz didn't mention Big Dick Dudley from the ECW day's. Both Bubba and D-Von and Sandman have spoke about how tough he was. Whipping entire Bar's of guy's by himself. He also had a dead hand from nerve damage so he could hit you like a tonne of bricks and not feel a thing
i'm gettin sick n tired of all of you people puttin down ric flair, if it wasn't for flair there wouldn't be no HULK HOGAN, nor any other wrestler like that
@demon312003 My question was in response to what you said about there'd be no Hulk Hogan if it weren't for Ric Flair or anybody like that. So I reiterate, what did Flair have to do with Hogan's career in WWF, when Flair was in the NWA at the time? Tie the two in somehow, I'm interested to hear.
@jonbap426 ric flair started wrestling in the early 70's n hulk hogan started wrestling in the early 80's, so how can hulk hogan say that he made wrestling what it is today when ric flair started wrestling way before hogan did?
@demon312003 Ric Flair himself would tell you that Hogan was the bigger star across the boards. Was Ric a better wrestler, of course. But he didn't do for the sport what Hogan did. And this comes back to the statement you made that wasn't answered yet: What did Flair have to do with Hogan's career? You said there wouldn't be a Hogan if it weren't for Flair or others like that. What does that mean?
i wish they would have discussed guys who appeared as bad ass who were gentle...
and those who appeared soft but were actual bad ass... and of course the tough guys who appeared bad ass and they were... who cares about ameature background..
You're a fuckin dipshit. Kurt Angle won a gold medal with a broken neck. If that's not being a legit tough guy, I don't know what is. Go back to being a couch fighter, you fanboy.
No mention of Allen Coage (Bad News Brown)? Dude was legit tough. The only American to ever win an olympic medal for judo in the heavyweight division. Coage, was also one of the only men that Andre backed down from.
@MrMolmem That was a rumor, he said to Andre the (racist ) joke wasn't very funny/wasn't appreciated. but the whole thing of him challenging Andre to a fight was BS. Hogan was seated in the row right between them and has even said it never happened. But yeah, he was a legit tough guy for sure, not to take anything away from him at all. but he never actually tried to fight Andre and had Andre back down from him..
@oldschool6804 You said it in caps so it must be true right? Telling people you can whoop Andre and he was scared of you is a way to make yourself look like a bad ass to try and sell tickets get promoters to pay you more. There is enough reason to lie right there. What reason would Hogan have to lie? It doesn't make him look better or worse no matter what he said, and even if it was true Andre was / would still be the biggest draw in wrestling so there would be nothing to gain by lying about it
@tnafan LOL there was classic interview where Arn was asked if he had any good Haku stories, Arn smiled and said "No, I don't have any Haku (pause) "stories" "wink" Basically he was saying What you have heard about him is all true.
I've never seen these before?? .. they're awesome.. being a long time fan of wrestling as well as being from samoa.. its funny hearing these legends talk about samoans like that lol. its true though.. only thing a samoan man fears is his wife hahaha.
This is a little off topic, but if somebody were to ask me who the toughest female is in all of professional wrestling, I don't think there's any doubt in my mind that I would instantly say Victoria. Victoria fears nobody, she's a locker room leader, she's trained 90% of the ladies in wrestling today, she's a veteran, and she's just all around tough woman. In my opinion the only other two female wrestlers who can match Victoria's quickness are Beth Phoenix and Natalya. Agree? Disagree? Whassup?
speaking of haku, it was said that he put brutus beefcake in a chokehold, and hogan had to break it up....and the reason for it, was that beefcake had complained that during a match, haku hit him a little too hard....lol....
I really like these videos. Glad they already mentioned Haku. There are legendary stories about his toughness. Probably the last guy in wrestling back then that someone would want to mess with
@ColdJ3 For the most part I have heard from the guys, Haku is a really nice guy with a big heart. You were just really stupid to get him pissed off at you. Peter Miavia the Rocks grand father had the same reputation. Was as nice of a guy as he was tough.
@bigrigbob2010 It's been my experience that the true badasses don't need to prove anything about being tough. Coupled with the fact that they know they can tear a guy apart... Nothing to prove.
I agree Haku, the Barbarian and the samoans were the top bad asses back then but I would mention one guy who was tougher than all of them. In fact he was the TOUGHEST man in professional wrestling .... ANDRE THE GIANT !!!!!!
@JamesMMcCann at the time of this interview, ken had been forgotten and dynamite had fallen from grace with vince and same with rude. Keep in mind that vince is onyl promoting people who are still alive, in the wwe family, and or somehow connected with vincce in some way.
After watching the first part of this, I have come to the conclusion that the guys they are talking about are a bunch of thugs. Not something to be admired, and not something I have any interest in wacthing any further.
@GGGeoff actually, a thug is someone who would go start shit just because they ain't got shit better to o. These guys were guys who for the most part are peaceful people. However, if you start something look out.
@KieranPolland kinda teared up reading that. I follow JR on Twitter and he kinda seems like a dick sometimes but you can tell its because he loves this shit so fucking much. He's who the "ITS STILL REAL TO ME DAMNIT" guy dreams he could be lol
@funkiersnoog By stooge they mean a guy who tattle tailed to the boss,AKA a rat, not necessarily someone who kissed up to them or was one of the bosses guys. IE he stooged them out to the promoter
@toucansam3 Yeah, The Freebirds were there in 1984 and then Later Michael Hayes was known as Dok Hendrix in the mid 90's and was an interviewer and later on he was the manager of the Hardy Boys and took them to their first Tag Team titles and I believe they won them from the Acolytes because Hayes interfered.
haku once had beefcake by the throat the only thing that saved beefcake was the fact that haku respected hogan. Hogan was finally able to convince him to let beefcake go.
Nice they left out Bruno Sammartino, Lou Thesz, and Karl Gotch; glad Mick mentioned Exotic Adrian Street--then again, they left out Billy Robinson too.
Some women badasses they might have alluded to: Millie Burke, Bull Nakano, and the Monster Ripper.
The Rock definitely has to make the Somoan list. He was crazy way back in U of Miami. Dam he was still crazy after going to hollywood. I seen that crazy look in his eye for crap he did trying to get acting gigs. This guy had a heck of a temper. He was known for that.
The Von Erichs were kinda bad asses (in their own way[s])...If you ever hear some of Kevin's stories of stuff they did as kids on the farm/ranch...Tours of Japan & elsewhere...etc...They had BALLS when they needed 2 have them...At least from what I've heard/read of them,anyway...
i didnt think saito went 2 jail full-on in the states after his incident w/ patera...i thought he was deported back 2 japan...& not allowed back in the us 4 a # of years...
man, tazz used to be bad ass but now he's more like a fat ass ...

Guys quit smoking!!!
cobaltbovine 1 year ago
@cobaltbovine smoking is probably the least harmful thing that wrestlers do. lol
buckbumble 1 year ago
@buckbumble Because they've all harmed their own bodies in the ring for several years before cigarettes had a chance to do any damage.

Isn't Haku/Meng from Tonga not Samoa? I mean his real name is *Tonga* Fifita.
