**Hi Carm, just recently discovered your site while looking for help with working out and weightloss tips, and do luv your wonderful and helpful videos. I recently discovered that I have hallux limitus with my left toe, which limits my running, etc-but, praying to be delivered from the symptoms soon!
I know running on a treadmill and running outside are have a totally different impact on the legs, so for shoes, what kind would you recommend for treadmill running?
1) I know it will reduce pressure on the shins because it shifts the emphasis more to the calves.
As far as your knees, I suggest you check you check the arch of your feet to make sure they haven't fallen. If they have fallen, this could explain your knee discomfort.
2) I make sure my running shoes have proper support and room in the toe area and replace them every few months. I wear the same shoes for running outside as running on a treadmill.
Hey, thanks for this video, remembering to push my hips forward cut me down from an 8:10 mile to a 7:40 mile immediately. :-)
