The Canadian Criminal Code states exactly this:
In sec. (84)(1)(b) "any knife that has a blade that opens automatically by gravity or centrifugal force, or by hand pressure applied to a button, spring or other device attached to the handle of the knife".
There are no other knife banning laws in Canada.

Yeah, and its used by bartenders, barbacks, and waitresses, and waiters for an ice pick as well in a restaurant or bar. Pretty crazy that an ice pick can be used for so much things. Beer is good for barbeque and sautee and seasoning and not to mention good to drink.

It's an ice pick. Ever work in a bar? That would be a no, right of the bat with the question you asked. Ice Picks are used in bars and restaurants by bartenders and waiters, and waitresses, and barbacks...to...clear ice in machines and so forth. Would you use a stiletto to do that? Most likely not. So it is a tool that serves a function as well as being an automatic.

Yeah that is a scary fact that you could have wound up in a Federal Prison for doing something stupid like that. Hopefully the $8 an hour rent an idiot is replaced by a trained individual making $50 an hour and is a full American citizen, doesn't matter what color American, just a legal citizen who is trained. Hopefully Homeland Security take note to what things and educate their personal but paying them more than $7 is a starting point.

They make the same amount of money as a guy at a fast food drive in and they always mess up your order in the drive through. Hiring green card holders and illegal immigrants to work in airports is another issue as well. All are security risks. We simply don't even hire Americans in America anymore.
