Wait till you face an army built around moral devestation - level 10 loan sword ashigaru with scare ability as well as moral breaking retainers really is stupidly overpowered. You cant get your general anywhere near the fighting otherwise you get hit with artillery. Get into the fighting and your units break in seconds even if superior thanks to their ability. I was enjoying the game up until I faced this retardation.

@moqo - I was enjoying the game until people started bringing matchlocks. I just don't like them in this game, for several reasons. If I keep playing this, it will be classic mode. But right now it is Men of War and NTW3.

The key is to protect ur general first, then attack otherwise ur troops wont do much dmg without ur general, and the Rally ability kinda cancel that Warcry effect.

Also how do you get rid of the interaface like you did there ? or do you simply just put the interface out of the shot while editing

Very well made video. But I think you copped out by saying "I rightclicked my cav on his general because for some reason there wouldnt be a yari ashigaru there" =\. Perhaps if you talked more about other aspects then this would be a more informative video.

@BLCDaniel - This is not supposed to be more informative. It is only meant to illustrate the impact of morale. Everything else is irrellevant in this video, and will be dealt with in another video. Plenty of them to come ;)

hey Pinx, can you tell when the enemy is scared by your general and if it's really worth getting that trait, and if so, does it ony affect enemies in your araura?

morale is so wierd, for a long time my loan swords would like rout on contact with the enemy unless i got a rally ability on them beforehand. then i get the "productive rice paddy" retainer province giving +1 morale to all ashigaru, and now the loan swords almost have the staying power of samurai XP

My tactic (medium), which I've only lost with once because I missclicked (seriously, why does it 'select all' all the time!?):

6 Yari cav, the rest loan sword. Yari cavs mission is first to take out all enemy cav (so my loan sword isn't threatened) and, of course, taking out enemy general. The enemy moral loss will make loan swords invincible. And of course, since you have so many more units than the enemy (assuming they go for more expensive stuff), it will be easy to flank and surround them.

You just have to be weary of the Great Guard and rockets, 1 Great Guard can tank a Yari Cav, and 1 rocket can rout a Yari Cav with one volley.

@thestrategest I see, thanks! But so far I've only played against lower level players and then pretty much everything works.

And no, quality doesn't always beat quantity. For a "quality army" to work well you must either be a very good player or the enemy must be very bad. I, for once, would never expose my general like your opponent did. And if you go for quantity instead of quality you do it all out, not blend with some samurai like he did, that takes away the whole point of quantity.

@RumbitSwe - This video is mainly meant to illustrate how important morale is. As for the tactics used, and the whole "quality vs quantity" they are much less important in this case. Quality doesn't always beat quantity. I never said that quality did in the video. Although might be subject for another video :)
