I come here to watch Ray play, and see a bunch off comments of ppl arguing over whether or not he's better than David.

Both David and Ray are amazingly epic kickass drummers, with their own unique, style. Neither sounds like the other,and never will. So, fans, stop arguing about them. Stop saying "Oh if David were in the band, the music wouldn't sound like this." or "Ray is better/David is better."

Who the fuck CARES who is better? They are BOTH awesome.

no offense to luzier, but david,fieldy and well oke.. head (because they didnt replace 'm) had their mayor insturmental twist in the band. as one leaves, korn immediatly gets a change of style. you have to understand that too..

@luzier13x he's a funk drummer that uses multible style at once while drumming even a single solo. Ray cant even tip to that. ray gets a heavy drumset of which he has to get everything out of.. David knew how to get the best out of even simple drums. where ray failed with ''my time / are you ready to live''

When I saw korn on their "bitch we have a problem tour", Ray was an absolutely outstanding drummer and also performer as he really really made his presence known even from behind that huge kit.

Perhaps the best drummer I've ever seen. This video is very much a compliment to that!

choujidesu: If you believe this...you would be laughed at by the Korn community itself. David's drumming was horrible live and Jonathan Davis himself said on Modlife that they had to use programs to make David's drumming precisely on tempo for recording. They haven't had to do that with Ray, according to JD. David didn't have the passion for drumming for a long time...he even sold his drums when he quit Korn, if that's not a clear indication.

Even if you listen to the Korn: Live in Montreux (2004) DVD, David doesn't play his OWN drum riffs properly. He just half ass does everything and it made Korn sound horrible for the longest time. (Not dissing the other members, but a drummer IS a crucial part to the sound of a band). Anyways, the point is Ray Luzier = God.

I hung with Ray backstage at the David Lee Roth/Sammy Hagar tour and there isn't a more down to earth musician on the planet. The interview in Drumhead magazine gave him 12 pages and several full page ads for his endorsements. On top of it all, he is a phenomenal player who I also had the pleasure of seeing him tear up my drumset at one of my gigs. Awesome!!!!

Yeah he is a drummer that makes the guitars just so much heavier. He is like vinnie paul in pantera. Dime was an amazing guitarist but his tone wasnt a heavy tone so vinnies drums just made it crunch. Alot of bands are like that and I missed when korn was like that now they are like that again.
