hi cheery,

yes, that is one of my favorite shots and i did it in premiere using a blue screen effect. it took me several days (in photoshop) to cut out a selection of the tree, every little branch, which allowed me to make everything EXCEPT the tree pure blue. this was used in Premiere on an upper layer while the background changed below. then i just added a long slow movement to the bluescreen tree.

i think it was during those long patient and peaceful hours of cutting out the tree that I began to have the feeling that Van Gogh's "spirit" or "ghost" or entity of some kind was watching me (called, i guess, by the love in my devotion) and which was sometimes giving me guidance.

i know that might sound weird, but it really means is that during the several months of making this video i came to LOVE Vincent completely. I got so familiar with the paintings and the brushstrokes that it was like he got into my head, and I was at times close to tears.
