  • I thought the actual difference between Ferrari and F1 was not the speed, but rather the more and meaner obstacles. :p

  • I dusted off my 3D glasses for this... MAN was I disappointed.

And I played the Rad Racer on the Gameboy Color.

And Square Soft made this? For real?

  • going faster gives more points, but what about equal distance?

  • Uh, excuse me, everyone....not to veer off the topic at hand, but why the hell is a video about vaginal childbirth in the suggestions? I've thought about it for an embarrassingly long time, and can't think of a single connection between Rad Racer and vaginal childbirth. Can someone please enlighten me?

  • Watching you try to play this is an entirely new level of frustration. Can't grab the controller and say, "Watch how I do it," I just gotta watch you ignore the signs, rub against the other cars and not bother with the best part of the game, the music. Makes me wanna pull my hair out.

  • if the timer runs out your momentum may be helpful if you are near the checkpoint

  • I dig the Canadian accent, but you're not very good at this game. If you wanna stage select, press B until the colorful RPM meter represents the stage number you want, then press both^> A. Very honest review. Thanks Dr.

  • 17:19 he sounds just like Dr Cox from Scrubs! Thumbs up if you agree.

  • Rrrrridgggee Ra...Hey, waittaminute....

  • make more videos

  • Rad Racer was pretty significant in it's year of release as it was Nintendo's "official" racing game, got a "Now you're playing with power!" commercial, plenty of Nintendo Power coverage and the mentioned Wizard appearance. Rad Racer 2 on the other hand, which was released directly by Square? Not so much.

  • You can choose any board of the game from the title screen. If you hold down "up" and "right" at the same time, while tapping A and B both at the same time. The number of time you do it will select your board. Example, if do this 3 times, you would be on the 3rd level, if you do it 6 times you'll be on the 6th board and so on. but if you do it 10 times you can see the end credits. Try it! I use to love this game!

  • Thats the most fucking original name ever.

  • BooYeah

  • The 3D doesn't work. The sky appears to be in the distance, but is impossible to focus on, and the rest remains unchanged. Just look at the road, they just made it brown. For the 3D to work, you would see a blue and red offset getting larger as the road got further into the distance.

  • @M3L33MA5T3R I believe the 3D doesn't work on youtube because the videos are optimized for LCD screens, and that means they remove the interlacing which makes the 3D possible.

  • You aren't very good at this game lol. Or perhaps its just cause I played it a lot when I was little.

  • hold "a" and start when its "gameover" and its a continue of that course

  • There's a simple code I can't remember on level selecting

  • never knew you could activate a turbo, nice review!! I always use the Ferrari, Magnum P.I. baby

  • Squaresoft.

  • I sure hope I am not the only one that noticed that the first radio song is the same song the Homestarrunner guys use as Stinkoman's theme song.

  • it's def the same song

  • @coolness432 I would say the homestar runner stinkoman song came from rad racer :P

  • i remember leisure suit larry in 1989 at my junior high school. the computer teacher would let us play it one period a week. i had no idea what to do so i told him to let me play tetris instead. in rad racer, you can choose your race by doing stage select. you do not have to go from race 1 to get to race 2. you can also see the ending without playing the game with a simple code. this is an awesome video btw. rad racer is my favorite racing game of all time xD

  • when are more unknown classic reviews coming?

  • This is great

  • Looks the same with the 3d glasses. Then again, I'm using updated glasses and not the true blue/red ones. Should be the same.

  • 87' was the year I got my NES and You're review is really bringing back memories.

  • error?
