i feel nissan has gone off its head they have completely ruined the nissan patrol eg:
they have taken the original 4.5l inline 6 and replaced it with a 5.0l v8.... HOW CAN THEY DO THAT!!! and that rigid body with a delicate body. i just hope nissan comes to its senses and rethink their idea.

The old saying "the more stuff it's got, the more that can break" might have cut it 15 years ago, but this sort of technology is almost bullet-proof now. And it's all designed to make four wheel driving safer and more comfortable.

And instead of introducing new engine, which for the first few years will in and out of workshops until Nissan gets it right, just bring back an inproved version of TD42 (inmortal engine) and I bet that you will sell more of those then a v8 petrol. After I heard back in 2010 that they r making an all new patrol(new engine, suspension) and saw that it looked like 200 series landcruiser, I straight away went and bought my self a 2010 patrol. The only real 4x4 is now gone. shame on you nissan. At least make both a solid axle aswell, so that some one in Australia may buy it.

Fuel is cheap there and IFS is the way to go for the Middle East market, I agree the IFS is not my pick either and i will be hanging onto my GQ but the MAJORITY of the market wants a smooth ride and refined elegance not an OFF road Weapon. In short i like it but not the suspension for the Aust market.

Ive had four Patrols and there will not be a Fifth. Nissan you have disappointed us again, you hit the nail on the head with the GQ. It was tough, comfortable, capable and reliable. You gave the GQ some new clothes and called it a GU, which was fine. Then you pissed in our pockets by taking away the best of the engines td42 and leaving us with the soft arse problematic 3litre and a thirst 4.8.
Now this, IFS and IRS. WTF?? And not a diesel in sight that can even remotely compare with the V8 in the 200 Cruiser. I will be driving a Prado around before something designed to sit out the front of a Hilton surrounded by sand

It looks like 2010 Mitsubishi Pajero and a Toyota Land Cruiser got "freaky" and this was the result. Mitsubishi Pajero front styling and Land Cruiser back styling.I am kinda pissed the Patrol always look rugged, and now they basically "pussified" it.

it's ugly, it has too much electronics and IT HAS NO AXLES. I prefer old Y61 Model. It was the last real off road car except Land Rover Defender which will die soon to. There will be no more real off road cars in the world. There will be useless SUVs only.

pointless fkn stupid, im nissan patrol all the way, but nissan needs to build a new model GQ, whats the bet you wont be able to buy a lift kit for this. who is gonna use that off road. nissan have lost the plot keep the shit 4wd's for porche and what not let the rich boys that think they're cool by driving a 4wd stay with porche and keep the real 4wd's for the blokes with GQ's and sum GU's. 2010 nissan patrol = MAJOR FAIL!!!

this better be good. hope they really totally revamped the suspension and engine noise to really take on at least the prado and pajero (for which it's really matched with performance-wise)
