"Upsizing" a Dillon Minigun to accept shotgun rounds is basically making an entirely new gun, almost none of the parts would be compatible. A 12 gauge shell is about .70 inch in diameter, the biggest Dillon Minigun is .50. It would be simpler to scale down a 20mm cannon to 10 gauge I think.

Of course it will be a new gun but the parts and operation will be all the same principle. This was how the m2 browning was made, it was upscaled from a .30 cal browning.

A gatling gun is belt-fed and has one high capacity magazine/clip. Not three shotguns that spin and fire alternately. I expected better of you "Sons of Guns"
Since its not a true Gatling gun it is subject to the NFA. How are they legally building a machine gun for a civilian? Even if it were a true Gatling the ATF considers a motorized Gatling a machine gun and subject to the NFA. In its present form its 3 individual guns but the "trigger" is the electric button which allows for multiple rounds per pull/push, looks like a post-86 sample to me.
@yves247 If you watch the episode this was simply a mock up to test the parts that they had successfully built to be sure that they would be able to withstand the rotation and recoil of the 3 weapons. They had quiet a bit of difficulty in the manufacturing and decided that the original gun would take longer than expected but still wanted to have something to show the client. The actual gatling 12 gauge is still in production.
I hate it when people get on here and talk crap about thing they don't understand or can't do themselves. A customer requested this, and they built it. If you don't like it. don't watch it. Hmm...They could use the same drum and feed system that most Fighter Planes use, even the same system for the Dillon Aero M134, and drastically increase it's effectiveness. Hell...Given a few years and the right exposure, this could see some military action. Combined with the explosive 12 Gauge Grenade rounds for the AA-12, this could be a rapid fire nightmare mounted on a UH-60 or MH-60.

Since its not a true Gatling gun it is subject to the NFA. How are they legally building a machine gun for a civilian? Even if it were a true Gatling the ATF considers a motorized Gatling a machine gun and subject to the NFA. In its present form its 3 individual guns but the "trigger" is the electric button which allows for multiple rounds per pull/push, looks like a post-86 sample to me.

@yves247 If you watch the episode this was simply a mock up to test the parts that they had successfully built to be sure that they would be able to withstand the rotation and recoil of the 3 weapons. They had quiet a bit of difficulty in the manufacturing and decided that the original gun would take longer than expected but still wanted to have something to show the client. The actual gatling 12 gauge is still in production.

I hate it when people get on here and talk crap about thing they don't understand or can't do themselves. A customer requested this, and they built it. If you don't like it. don't watch it. Hmm...They could use the same drum and feed system that most Fighter Planes use, even the same system for the Dillon Aero M134, and drastically increase it's effectiveness. Hell...Given a few years and the right exposure, this could see some military action. Combined with the explosive 12 Gauge Grenade rounds for the AA-12, this could be a rapid fire nightmare mounted on a UH-60 or MH-60.

just because it has three clips and doesnt look like the gatling gun we all know doesnt mean it's not one if you whatched the show you would see that they had to improvies because you cant just pecfect this desing in a maner of weeks it takes monthes or even years to do it right this was a good job for the first try and they will probaby be a good product for the us army if it was upgraded to red jackets original desing
