  • This cartoon was produced in 1958 as a part of THE HUCKLEBERRY HOUND SHOW. The YOGI BEAR SHOW came in 1961 with new cartoons that used the new Hanna-Barbera music library composed by Hoyt Curtain. This was the case of all Hanna-Barbera cartoons from 1960 on. YOGI BEAR'S BIG BREAK has been billed as the first YOGI cartoon, but there are others that could be considered. Notice also the 1958 copyright date on this cartoon.

  • @RayPointer Thanks for the Pointing this out!

  • it is so boring only little kids would watch it

  • @amanda70252

You must be a product of late 90's parents. You have no appreciation for classic cartoons. I prefer classic cartoons over the crap they have nowadays.

  • Comment removed

  • @amanda70252 i was born in the 90's, i grew up with these cartoons and i think they are awesome. Yogi bear was my hero in my childhood. That movie is like a kick in the nuts to the original cartoon. Hanna and barbera are geniuses to me

  • @TheMoonpiglet *bieber.

  • shit i just love all the classic cartoons from the 40s to the 90s,,Top cat,, tom and jerry,,maguilla gorilla,, looney toons,, woody woodpecker,, the flinstones,, the jetsons,, etc..... now they try and brainwash todays kids with disney bullshit and other shit that dont deserve to be called cartoons,, BRING BACK THE CLASSICS! and im 19 nd love the classics

  • :P

  • i had seen the real yogi bear in cinemas

  • @mini22899 This was the original, and real, Yogi Bear. They made the movie based off of the cartoon series this show started.

  • This beats the 2010 movie by a million times.

  • Now thats Yogi

  • What a cliffhanger. So old-school.

  • I am 28 and still live at home with my mum getting high and watching youtube/xbox, that is why I am smarta than the average bear!

    "Yes wilsey"

  • looks the begining of the movie!!!

  • Quiet, Boo-Boo.

  • just saw the film today so had to watch the original so I could see how much it got wrong

  • @TheSoulMan8 yeah, but it's better than the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. What did they get wrong in the movie?

  • @hackensac I actually liked the movie to! It was cute and very much (sort) of like the cartoon, the Ranger though..he was a little awkward, but he did a good job, Yogi and Boo-Boo were voiced very well and I was happy they sounded much like the original characters seen here. I don't know what people's problems are, but the movie was surprisingly a box office smash

  • @TheSoulMan8 well I'm here because I heard the creator was the same of "Ren and stimpy" How could I be misss something brilliant like that?

  • @TheSoulMan8 i did too. and its pretty the same.

  • @TheSoulMan8 Well considering the film can't fit in the hundreds of episodes, it's not going to try to follow any certain story the shows had, which was zero. It got the characters right and they shape the story from that, that is how all good movies work. So they got nothing wrong, as you say.

  • @TheSoulMan8 They didn't get anything wrong though, so that's alright XD

  • I didn't like the movie :/ The characters were too stupid on it...

  • lol "Look at the bears! look at the bears! sheesh." i love that part XDD

  • HEYY YOGI, CHECK OUT CASEY AND HER BEAR YOGI:

RUTGERS VS LOUISVILLE STARRING CASEY YOUTUBE

  • I LOVE cartoons!!!!

  • 0:39-0:48 - notice the same two cars wizzing by?

  • THE MOVIE WAS AMAZING BUT SO WAS THAT . . .

  • coll

  • cool

  • <3

  • never leave ur hometown yogi , see how u regret it :D

  • love it

  • I here his movie did quite well. You think they'll give Yogi another show?

  • @jake94 I hope not. Don't get me wrong, I love Yogi Bear.... But anyone making the series today would water it down, make it politicly correct, and then try and work in parables. There are places for those things, but, imo, Yogi Bear and Looney Tunes are not those places.

  • yoggiiii

  • This was made in 1958 not 1961.

  • very nice! the movie was shit!

  • This seem so familar, as if it were a dream but I can't exactly remember...

  • Oh Yogie

  • LOL I LOVE THEM

  • "study the diagram, sam"

  • The animation was kinda like flash animated and a bit noobish but ok. XD

So that's where the "HERE COMES YOWGAAAAAY" came from. XD

I didn't know it just came from the SNES game.

  • boo boo is so cute

  • How is this considered depth? Good storyline my ass...The bear is trying to leave the park. That's all. I'm tired of older generations saying that the current is less than adequate, and that all kids are obsessed with xbox and the internet. We are more advanced, and more innovative. Just because we're not outside, doesn't mean we're not creative. That's all i have to say.

  • @MrLiv2dance

all these advances had to come from somewhere...

  • @MrLiv2dance I know whats your point.

Life as it was at that time was simple.

They hadn t internet and some didn t even had T.V

We didn t know what was happening when we were a child in the outside world and didn t even had to worry about it.

Our fantasy was huge because of the toys that we had.

We didn t saw the mistakes in the cartoons that we watched

A child had a imagination for seeing it his way in his world

We were happy to see a cartoon like Yogi bear

  • @MrLiv2dance You're not any more innovative than they were. Just like the kids 50 years from now won't be more innovative than you. The only thing that limits you is your imagination, your will, and to an extent, the tools you have to work with. Fact is, with all the tech we have, many of the cartoons today ought to be much better than they are. Take the old Bugs Bunny and the new one, and tell me the old one isn't animated better.

  • The introduction of a superstar.

  • choppy animations rule

  • I loved it! lol

  • I loved it!

  • lol

  • Lmfao at the park maintenance truck thing.

  • lookitduhbears lookitduhbears lookitduhbears!!

  • when did this first episode air?

  • @Bboyjosue1 1968?

  • Oki Dokie Yogi!!!

  • the movie sucked

  • @nbts5n2

    The movie was awsome.

  • the way cartoons look back in the day, were great!!!!!!

  • "Look at the bear! Look at the bear! Look at the bear!" LMBO

  • If you've seen the new movie, it's way better than this.

  • Do yourselves a favour and take off the rose-tinted bi-focals and check out any number of decent modern kids cartoons currently on TV.

Sure, there's a lot of drek on too, but there was an equal percentage of half-baked, formulaic crap on in the 60s and beyond too. Most of it Hannah-Barbera.

I've seen some recent kids shows that wipe the floor with a lot of "adult" comedy programming in terms of wit, subtlety and originality; the 10-year old you had a less refined palette than you think..

  • Still smarter than the average bear even after all these years. Yay Yogi!!

  • Comment removed

  • Spideyfan937 my msn in profile! Yogi Bear- Episode 1

  • Yogi is smarter than the average bear, but bears are REALLY retarded.

  • Why doesnt he just eat the Ranger

  • MCMLVIII is 1958. That's what it says on this cartoon, not 1961.

  • Wow choppy animation, but it got better a couple years better.

  • Oddly, its this kind of old styled animations that I missed the most. Roadrunners, Scooby doo, tom and jerry, loony tunes.

  • Love it love it love it. Yogi was one of the best. They just don't make them like this anymore. Lol. I think I'm gonna die laughin now.

  • this ranger is smart

  • As cheap as this animation is, it certainly kicks the crap out of that bland corporate CGI look.

  • @quiktymevideo Nah this is just as cheap as shallow as the movie, in fact the movie is a faithful adaptation

Its a friggen Hanna Barbara cartoon, they all suck

  • @Tacom4ster Hanna Barbara cartoons, among many others of the time, are some of the best cartoons ever made. All by hand as well. Nothing modern can compare to these "classics".
