Every spouses' dream of getting even with their abusive and unfaithful spouse. Perhaps the movie did not do well because of the subject matter. Wondering if you will soon be replaced by the trophy wife, or it has already been done to you. The sad thing is that she was ignored and ridiculed by her sleezy husband before the affair began. This guy deserved everything she thru at him, and then some. I like the way she went about his demise, him in the dark and she watching on the sideline.

This is a rather poor telling of Fay Weldon't novel. The BBC adaptation in 1986 was much better. Patricia Hodge, Dennis Waterman and the remarkable Julie T Wallace were simply wonderful. This doesn't compare, I'm afraid.

They have to often raise children mostly on their own, work, clean the house, run errands. It's not like in the old day where the men did all the working at jobs and the women could stay home and be marvelous housewives. My mother is like that.. she's overweight and unhealthy. She's not happy about it. But she doesn't have energy anymore.
