(I play First person shooters like Cod, and Battlefield [Minecraft FTW], and 3rd person games like any Grand Theft Auto, and other games like thoes. No MMO's though.)
P.S I have both a palm and claw grip. I have adapted to both, so I really dont care.
you basically get better at aiming while NOT switching dpi. your brain adjusts to certain movements while playing. you can however screw this all over by changing dpi suddenly :P

Do you guys hold the mouse with the fourth finger (counting from thumb) on RPM? I do not, so it's held on the black thingy above the right-side rubber. It doesn't feel too comfortable, therefore I wouldn't say the design is as ergonomic as advertised.
A way to remedy the accidental shoost on a DPI adjustment would probably be to move your hand slightly up and forward and use your thumb instead. I don't own the mouse, but from simulating this on mine it seems pretty natural.

Especially in Bad Company 2 where I'm either running around with mid DPI, sniping with low DPI, or in a tank with high DPI (for realistic reasons, I guess, the tank's turret is extremely slow, so I find increasing the DPI to max gives me a great advantage). So the first thing I look for in a gaming mouse is adjustable DPI (not necessarily high DPI. I find 2000 to be more than enough).
@tactical92fs yeah, i really only use the adjustable dpi for BFBC2 as well. The sensitivity in CoD is all the same but bad company 2 definitely needs to be changed for what youre doing.

are you supposed to use the dpi to change sensitivity? i have a lachesis and what i always do is keep the dpi at 4000 and then adjust the sensitivity using the software's "on the fly sensitivity".
I tried the Mamba. Hated it. Didn't like how it functioned and the difficulty of the programming. And I don't like paying for fancy packaging. Probably a $60 mouse if it came boxed normally. Switched to the Sidewinder x8. SOOO much better.

I had this mouse and I don't recommend it. I really like the look and feel of the mouse, but it just does not work properly. Just as my 1st Razer mouse, the DeathAdder, and my 2nd one, another DeathAdder. Razer seems to make good mouse surfaces and some good keyboards (I myself have a Lycosa Mirror), but the mice from Razer just stop working. I cannot accept this, so I got a Alugraphics ESL pad and a SteelSeries XAI mouse and I recommend it instead of the Mamba. (But maybe I just had no luck^^)

Love(d) my mamba, but trying my best to get a refund because the sensor decides to stop reading every now and then. As for DPI button placement that is one of the best features just because theyre so accessible, unlike the top of the mouse-approach. That's awesome when you program them to do useful stuff instead of fucking up your sens ;). Never understood why people want to change that... Ever.

You can move the reviever closer if you have problems sat far away the wire is long.
Bluetooth signal to keyboard or a mouse is 14MS which is slower than any mouse in the world wired or none wired its slower than the cheapest mouse. Mamba is 1MS thats 1000 updates on what your hand is doing per second.
my Question is Would the connection be fine. Sitting on a couch 5 feet away from my pc gaming. Like would it lag ?? I heard bluetooth moues work perfect no lag. But there is hardly any bluetooth mouse around thats legit.
@rscanonrock it was just the whole plugging in and out the cord to the doc to the mouse every time the mouse died, just a hassle IMO, I returned it and bought the Logitech G9x instead and I Love it.
Im going for the Sidewinder X8 since its easier to use, faster to charge, last longer charged up to 30 hrs fully charged. 5 minute charge gives an hour of gaming. charging cord just snaps in place automatically. about $70 bucks, has 4000dpi's and its enough. slick, awesome in gaming with no, and i do mean no lags, jumps, tilts etc. what so ever! Loving it that Microsoft is coming with mouses that its battery charge lasts so long like the Arc mouse for examp. lasts about 6 months on batteries!

I hate wired mice since i touched wireless. What I hate about lohitech is that they ONLY make mice for the right handed, so I hated my MX Revolution in many ways fo that. The razer mamba is perfect for both, and that is priceless for me. I love the small finger shaped space in the middle of the button on the mamba, because after clicking like 1000 times on a MX Rev. ur finger kind of hurts, bu with he mamba u don't even notice.

See I like mice that fit comfortably in my hand.
I have big hands, but that's why I chose the Logitech G9x.
It fit's pretty nice and has most of the same features.
Only difference is the mamba looks nicer.

Razer seems to make good mouse surfaces and some good keyboards (I myself have a Lycosa Mirror), but the mice from Razer just stop working. I cannot accept this, so I got a Alugraphics ESL pad and a SteelSeries XAI mouse and I recommend it instead of the Mamba. (But maybe I just had no luck^^)

Love(d) my mamba, but trying my best to get a refund because the sensor decides to stop reading every now and then. As for DPI button placement that is one of the best features just because theyre so accessible, unlike the top of the mouse-approach. That's awesome when you program them to do useful stuff instead of fucking up your sens ;). Never understood why people want to change that... Ever.

I bought it and it sucks, wery often when im bhopping in css it accidentaly presses right click, wich is quite annoying when u got scout, and the mouse is wrely big so dont buy it unless you got a big hand, imma buy lachesis cause it's said its good for ppl with smaller hands :p

You can move the reviever closer if you have problems sat far away the wire is long.
Bluetooth signal to keyboard or a mouse is 14MS which is slower than any mouse in the world wired or none wired its slower than the cheapest mouse. Mamba is 1MS thats 1000 updates on what your hand is doing per second.

@rscanonrock it was just the whole plugging in and out the cord to the doc to the mouse every time the mouse died, just a hassle IMO, I returned it and bought the Logitech G9x instead and I Love it.

Im going for the Sidewinder X8 since its easier to use, faster to charge, last longer charged up to 30 hrs fully charged. 5 minute charge gives an hour of gaming. charging cord just snaps in place automatically. about $70 bucks, has 4000dpi's and its enough. slick, awesome in gaming with no, and i do mean no lags, jumps, tilts etc. what so ever! Loving it that Microsoft is coming with mouses that its battery charge lasts so long like the Arc mouse for examp. lasts about 6 months on batteries!

Money is not an issue for me,I never look at the price,I hate looking at the price because it gives u a false sene of security.I research it,c what ppl think,and what it's options are,and from that I'I get it.The razer mamba is the best mouse in the world,take it from someone who has Logitech MX Revolution,G5,G9,MX518, Microsoft SideWInder,and a lot more. It's the ultimate, the fastest, and could have had a better battery life :) . My opinion: everyone that says X is better doesn't have a mamba.

If only the mamba pulsed then it would be perfect right! =D. I went to the store to check out the mambas but i found that i liked the logitech mice better even though they do not look as cool as the razers. I also found that i HATED the lachesis! it is the most uncomfortable mouse ever for me.

I hate wired mice since i touched wireless. What I hate about lohitech is that they ONLY make mice for the right handed, so I hated my MX Revolution in many ways fo that. The razer mamba is perfect for both, and that is priceless for me. I love the small finger shaped space in the middle of the button on the mamba, because after clicking like 1000 times on a MX Rev. ur finger kind of hurts, bu with he mamba u don't even notice.
