At Leo Hayes High School , when I was a student there a few years ago, we used to play this song every year for grad band, because our mascot was the Lion :) lol how i miss those days, they invited me back for grad band this year, but i have some freshening up to do with the alto sax before i play in front of over a thousand people again lol

the only part about this arrangement i don't like is that it skips most of the king of pride rock at the end which is one of the most powerful parts of the disney soundtrack.. but for a day and a half of practice this is pretty good for a pretty difficult piece

I'm playing this as a seventh grader and I can't say whether it's easy or difficult because i have the stupid bass line, which is never challenging in any way. :'( but i love playing it. it makes me smile!

Yeah... does anyone other than percussion actually consider percussion a real instrument? Because i know it is, but... i don't know. to me it will always be hitting things with sticks. no offence to all you percussionists out there. trombone's cool too though... is your band playing this?

Wow the band is pretty good, and so many of the songs from the movie. I like Hakuna Matata and Can you feel the love tonight the best :D Hakuna Matata sounds so Jazzy although it's a Symphonic Band.......

Our symphonic band is playing this song, and our wind ensemble played Carmina Burana and went to festival and received all 1's. Our band is good. One of the best in Tennessee.
