  • it's actually a blend of alot of tracks from band on the run.I can hear let me roll it,band on the run, bluebird and mamunia.

  • Вечна му памет

  • Thanks John.....and Bless You!

  • @conchlover100 Ok thanks for telling me but it looks like Pete Best.

  • @juanesrockero Oh ok but I don't trust wikipedia because anyone write this crap.

  • @crocetti1984 I believe the guy at 3:35 is Nigel Walley who was a good friend of John's until his passing. Nigel also was the manager of the group The Quarrymen.

  • bow chika wow wooooow

  • Bless You John....Wherever You are...

  • i think.. that guy is Pete Best

  • @JKLAYMEN Nope I'm pretty sure it's Lonnie Donegan.

  • @rabidgoldfish65 oh yeah , its true ;)

  • GREAT...

    bless you...

    excelente....muy buen tema de lennon!

    MARAVILLOSO...

  • A beautiful song and love it. May your rest in peace brother in love and peace. Glad that you aren't here to see all corruption and hate. Love ya bro!

  • @qessstur Exactly.

  • NOT Pete Best at 3:35...facial features are NOT the same as Pete's

  • @Chazticus09 Lonnie Donegan perhaps.

  • I think that this guy on 3:35 is Peter Shotton, but I´m not sure. He may be the former collegue and friend from Quarry Bank band.

  • @mlhaus73 Looks like Pete to me as well (: But that picture is very odd. It looks to me like their figures have been cut from another picture

  • I've never heard this before.. So fucking hot!

  • I love this song <3

  • @SergejKaempf Well I think it is Pete Best but I have a look again!

  • Sounds like bossa nova

  • This song makes me yawn every time

  • @kadams94 Same here.

  • @shielakay Well I think its Pete Best, The Beatles first drummer.

  • idk i could cry to this song

    john's voice is so amazing

  • @jimmy10 Yes I think it is Pete Best

  • I LOOOVVVEEE the picture at 0:51 !!

  • Wonderful pictures 8)

  • @lukn1 Cool

  • @lukn1 I know Pete Best was the first Beatles drummer but who was better as The Beatles drummer, Ringo or Pete?

  • @19GirlBad Ringo is better (about music) than Pete , absolutely

  • @brusselstarlight Ok. Looks like him!

  • @Allof75 Ok Maybe Peter Shotton

  • @crocetti1984 No worries.

  • Who is that guy standing next to John Lennon in 3:35?

  • @19GirlBad I haven't a clue.

  • @crocetti1984 It looks like Quarrymen manager Nigel Walley.

  • @crocetti1984 I do believe that is Pete Best.

  • @19GirlBad Maybe Peter Shotton.

  • @19GirlBad It looks like maybe Pete Best!

  • @19GirlBad He was the first drummer before ringo of the silver beatles (first name).

PS: paul mccartney (before 1965-66) is dead beacause i've never seen him next 1965-1966. He wasn't' paul, i'm sure, next 1965-66 i saw a puppet that is nothing (about voice's power, aggressiveness and certainness) then PAUL..NOTHING...

    BIG JOHN <3 peace <3

  • @19GirlBad I think that should be Pete Best? the beatles' first drummer

  • @19GirlBad my guess would be one of his childhood friends like Ivan vaughan or nigel walley. I KNOW it isn't stuart sutcliffe or pete shotton. I have seen many pics of stuart and Pete had white blond hair.

  • @19GirlBad I think that`s Pete Best

  • @19GirlBad @crocetti1984 Looks like Brian Epstein to me. Fits the most, if you look at some pictures of him an John.

  • @19GirlBad

    that would be Pete Best

  • @19GirlBad Is Brian Epstein, around 1960 he intents produce beatles, but he say "No" to the beatles cause no have future. Look in the wikipedia for "Decca audition"

  • @19GirlBad That's Stu Sutcliffe, John's original bandmate before Paul came along. He was known as the "5th Beatle", the original...John used to go out with his sister Astrid, a noted photographer, who took this pic.

  • @conchlover100 umm. i think you have that backward.

Stu was from Art College, joined the band for the first trip to Hamburg (thus after Paul) and Astrid was Stu's fiance when he died

  • BEST EVER

  • Amo a Lennon, pero este tema de Mind Games es de los que menos me gustan. Y no se porque, pero no suena muy Lennon. God bless you John.

  • when the song started i turned the computer way down so no one would think i was watching porn

  • @kicknitoldschool85 LOOOOOOL!

  • @kicknitoldschool85 That's what I thought of too when it first started.

  • @kicknitoldschool85

lao!! haha i needed a good laugh.funnyyy.ha ha Thanks hahaha brown chicken brown cow!

  • Great song!!!

  • Yo haría el amor con este tema...

    maravilloso!

  • He really captured that 70's sound in this song. Great work.

  • Great songwriting.

  • I never accused John of plagiarism. I'm more familiar with songs by the Ink Spots than with Lennon's work. Ever heard of covers? Artist could sell a song written by other artists and it wouldn't be plagiarism as long as they mention it's the original artist's work. At first I thought this was a cover, but I already know it's not, thanks.

  • at 3:30 thats cousin Stanley I believe

  • the intro sounds like band on the run!

  • @christianalexlea You're the 2nd or 3rd person to point that out. I never heard it until you guys said something, and now I can't stop hearing it! Lol!

I want to make a comment about the Lennon/McCartney songwriting team post Lennon/McCartney, but I can't think of anything to say that sounds halfway intelligent right now! XD

  • @christianalexlea right! i thought so too(:

  • @christianalexlea Yeah mann! sounds more like jazz... cool!

  • @christianalexlea Yeah, and this soung sounds like "You Make Me Feel Brand New" by the Stylistics as well!

  • He didn't write this song, the Ink Spots did.

  • @JacquelineUnzueta They're two completely different songs with the same title! You are silly! :)

  • @crocetti1984 Oh my, so silly of me. You're right, completely different lyrics c: All this time I've been told a lie.

  • @JacquelineUnzueta So you're accusing John of plagiarism? I guess I can't opine objectively without knowing the Ink Spots entire catalog, but this IS (song) attributed to John Lennon.

  • First time I heard this....not bad!

  • John was correct in that the Stones "Miss You" is clearly derivative of this.

  • Is it Stuart Sutcliffe in the photo.

  • So Gorgeous.

  • great chord progession.

    i appreciate.

  • @drrobertoboogie97 You'll have to post it. I'm intrigued.

  • @crocetti1984 Wish I could. It's very difficult to isolate the bass and even more difficult to find someone who did. There was someone who posted many Beatles song isolations including Because bass but those videos got deleted by EMI. I just imagined the sound of this song with the Because bass melody (which goes like "dun dun dun, dun dun, dun dun dun, dun dun dun"). It's more prominent in the Love remix of Fool on the Hill.

  • 2:54 looks more like julian

  • @Trouterr which makes that picture REALLY creepy! ;D

  • @crocetti1984 haha yeah

  • @crocetti1984 Is when you are in this pics

  • One of Lennons great songs that should of hit a wider audience

  • I love John. He's not only the greatest man who ever walked this earth. He's also a poet and the best songwriter in the world.

  • Brilliant video! love it! well done brother. find me on facebook. Jason Mackay.

  • Thumbs up if this song is wonderful

  • John Lennon claimed that Mcik Jagger took this, sped it up and came up with Miss You.

  • "the hollow ring

    is only...

    last years echo"

  • 2.52 looks exactly as Julian (John's son) does, Genetics are amazing. George's son Dhani looks almost exactly as his father.

  • JOHN !!!!!! you're the best thing happened to this planet!

  • ME:*SNEEZE*

    John: Bless youuuu

    Me: hey thanks.....JOHHHHHHHHHHN!

  • ((°J°)) Bless you!! perfect!!

  • Beautifully done. Thank you! Bless you wherever and whoever you are. ;o)

  • The most soulful, emotional and melodic song John had ever written. Smooth rock and soul music. This one along with A day in the life, Help and Beautiful boy are my favourites. R.I.P. John.

  • great song - lot of good pics - thanks

  • 6 people voted for Nixon

  • 6 people don't believe in listening to music.

  • john 4ever

  • I think the mysterious guy at 3.38 could be former Quarryman ( the group John belonged to pre- Beatles) member Peter Shotton

  • Was this song written for Cynthia?

  • MOST PROBABLY WE ACTUALLY DIDN'T RELAIZED THEN - HAVING SO MANY GREAT GROUPS, BANDS, SINGERS AROUND - ... BUT LOOKING BACK ... WE WERE ALL BLESSED TO HAVE JOHN AROUND IN OUR TEENS AND LATER.

    TKS. FOR THE POST :-)

  • @laggie24 zounds like they were trying to make it into a CTI jazz record

  • This totally sounds like a McCartney song. Just replace John's voice with Paul's.

  • 2:28 ♥ ♥ ♥ JOHN ♥ ♥ ♥

  • He almost looks a little like the Mona Lisa 2:38, maybe its just me

  • 6 people are cursed, wherever they are, and it really does look like Stu at 3:35.

  • Very, very nice Fender Rhodes

  • love it john was a god we loved him

  • gesundheit.

  • Thank you,John!It is wondeful.

  • Wow! What a song! It's definitely the great song to flirt with loved one.

  • *sniff* The lyrics nearly made me burst in tears... they are just so touching... and so true... nothing will ever break our love <'3

    Restless Spirits depart

Still we're deep in each other's hearts

    Some people say it's over

    But we know better darling

The hollow ring is only last year's echo

    Bless you wherever you are

And remember though love is strange

Now and forever our love will remain

  • FANTASTIC!!!

  • dam dude this is so relaxing

  • One of John's greatest songs

  • Reincarnation of God

  • I hear the beginning of Band on the Run by McCartney in the first 8 seconds or so of this song. Has anyone else noticed that?

  • @SoraxBS John and Paul were admirers of each others work, I love hearing the little subtle similarities in their solo work. Listen to the McCartney song "Let Me Roll It", which has a similar sound to Lennon's "Cold Turkey". Even when they split, they still listened to each others albums and influenced each other. Oh, and this is a beautiful song.

  • @FaithIsAnnoyed I knew about the Cold Turkey one, just wondered if anyone else thought the same thing. And yes I agree!

  • Thank You John.....Bless You wherever You Are...

  • @78rohan You actually get the feeling that they were listening to eachother's music a lot more than people may have thought

  • this is lovely, I've never heard this before.....sounds like something Stevie Wonder would sing.....love the picture of John at 2:33.....thanks so much for sharing this video!!!

  • The beginning sounded like Band on the Run for a second!

  • wow dope

  • John Lennon will live forever. No one like him nor will be. Wish i could had meant him.

  • Brilliant. . . thanks. BTW, definitely not Stu Sutcliffe @ 3:35. George Martin, maybe?

  • Abençoado é você também, John Lennon. Você está fazendo muita falta. Mas a vida é assim mesmo. Descance em Paz, John. O mundo não vai esquecer sua música maravilhosa.

  • This song would be amazing on a 70's cruise! take your dick out of your heart John! rock on!

  • So what did our world learn from him...........

Ignorants is no excuse to live they way we see living in this world. Got to have a lot of love, and be present in each moment. A person does not know when it will be their last. I hope your new "car" is acceptable.

  • I hate having to admit that I'd never heard this number before. At the same time it must also be said that this was one of John's finest songs. Thank you for posting it--it's truly a treasure.

  • Awesome instrumentation in this one

  • Such a relaxing pleasant song! Thanks!

  • It's amazing how Lennon could do the harshest/rawest rock, and yet also do soft smooth numbers such as this; the mark of true genius

  • real good tune feels good

  • I really can't vouch for "Menlove Avenue", but I certainly don't recall this song being on it. It most certainly is on "Walls & Bridges" (As opposed to Lloyd and Bridges)

  • Wow he has so many different looks

  • Bless you John lennon <3

  • un ser hermoso e inspirador de los sentimientos mas extremos y profundos del alma....gracias john and god bless you!!!!

  • The most peaceful man to walk in our society and to be so true and down to earth despite his wealth and privilege he worked so hard for. John never forgot his roots. He remembered always where he had come from and how lucky he had gotten. I miss him so very, very much. Peace and love to you John and Yoko too! May you rest in peace dear John.

  • love to meet you john,

  • sombody know similar songs?

  • @ALXTZ89 Try George Harrison's "Id have you anytime"

  • This song is so damn smooth. Was John into 70s soul?

  • I PLAY THIS SONG ALL DAY LONG !!!

  • John...no le conocia este tipo de harmonia, Bravo!!! un tema sensual.

  • lennon was the second coming of jesus and we killed him again
