  • I hope to someday get lucky enough to swim with a whale shark.

  • I've put 'swimming with a whale shark' on my list of things to do before I die.

  • Wow. I've swam with whale sharks and she makes it seem so mundane. This is a remarkable experience, if you are lucky enough, DO IT! This video is freakishly lame, who is this woman? Her story is lame as !$#@%!!! I got to hold on to the shark, you can grip it with gloves and take ride! I'm not from a wealthy family, I went down to Nassau, Bahamas and applied for a job. Take it from me, you can do it too!

  • Sorsogon, Philippines there are around 350 here you could see them even when you are in the shore ..

  • so graceful

  • I had the opportunity to swim with whale sharks in Mexico this summer.

They are wonderful creatures of incredible beauty, elegance and gentleness.

One of the most unforgettable experiences of my life.

  • @FAROMAMU nice man, am so jealous

  • It breaks my heart to hear about and see people who hunt such beautiful animals. I'm afraid of sharks yet I respect them and love them.

    Rui rebelo (Portugal)

  • They're so majestic and beautiful.

  • Sure theyre beautiful and stuff. But they're the scariest looking thing ive ever seen in the ocean. lol..

  • @megaprime67 You haven't seen much in the ocean then lol.

  • @megaprime67 They're harmless though, so you wouldn't have to worry about anything

  • feeling on edge? Why not swim with giant shark!

  • Sorsogon in Philippines offers some tour packages if you want to swim with the Gentle Giants.

  • ...definition of gentle giant like that lady said.....such amazing and beautiul creatures.

  • looks like a submarine

  • Well..I'm never going to buy a droid thanks to all the commercials screwing up my youtube time.

  • Magnificent.

  • "fuck you dolphin! and fuck you whale!" -Japanese people in south park

  • i like whale sharks. i have a stuffed animal of a whale shark. his name is Cyrus.

  • That looks like wonderful therapy

  • thats how i like to see a whale shark, i never like seeing them in a tank or aquarium, this is beautifull.

  • Thank you Japan......

  • they're gorgeous! I want one. lol! why cant all sharks be this nice... maybe i wouldnt be so damn scared of the ocean

  • THAAAAT'S HUUUUUUGE!!! D:

  • I want to touch it, lol. That's what I'm gonna have in my bucket list, touch a whale shark lol. I know it's bad to touch it but just once with my finger will be my therapy lol

  • that's amazing, there's just something about whale sharks that's simply breathtaking, maybe it's something to do with their size and the slow graceful movement, I have a feeling their definition of "shark therapy" is different, but it is almost therapeutic and calming about just watching these sharks. faving this video, it's beautiful, especially with the music.

  • Whale Sharks are like the gentle awesome version of Great Whites... That's why I prefer Whale Sharks over Great Whites.

  • @NarutoDetective great whites can grow up to 20 feet long and weight 2 tons while the biggest whale shark found was 45 feet long and 14 tons theres much bigger diffirence in the size between each other watch the video * whale shark* by bubble vision it will show a whale shark 3 times bigger than this one

  • they dont even eat humans

  • yah lets dress like a seal go swimming with huge ass wales?

  • whales used to live on land.

  • @ISimpleMods true... and they chose to live on the sea because of people like you lmao

  • It is huge!!wow i cant imagine being so close to that creature!even if it's a hundred miles away from the shore!LOLZ!

    amazing!!!

  • omg these things are big

  • the sharks sticking around cause he wants to look at her humongous breasts

  • that would be so amazing. i would be afraid of it catching my flipper.

  • @judyluvsnoel

Whale sharks are completely harmless. They only eat plankton, and don't bother anything else. They're just gentle giants.

  • @Surya112 lol. i am not worried about it eating or biting me. have you ever seen that footage of a whale playfully pulling that girl by her flipper? it wasn't trying to hurt her but it almost killed her. But these whales I would love to swim with. will they let you touch them? they are so beautiful.

  • @judyluvsnoel

As long as you didn't surprise or hurt them I think you'd be fine.

  • @judyluvsnoel You really shouldn't touch a whale shark. They are covered by a layer of "mucus", or film, that protects them from germs and bacteria. Touch them, and you might rupture the film, causing the whale shark to get sick (and possibly die). I'm sure you wouldn't want the death of such a graceful and peaceful creature on your conscience.

  • @neosoc ok so i am not truly evil so i won't hug the shark. it is adorable and amazing tho,

  • whale sharks are not carnivorous...in fact they are gentle vulnerable creatures...they just eat planktons...

  • Wow. . .How does the lady get home?

  • "If you let the shark dictate the rules of engagement, it will hang around for longer"

Thats true for all sea creatures. Very sad that a lot of stupid divers dont get that and make a lot of beautiful animals disappear at crowded diving spots by pressing them.

  • my dad swam with two! i haven't yet :( whqt happens if you do block its path?

  • this shark is very peacful, friendly and human is his/her best friend

  • Wow thats beautiful, it must be soo very peaceful swimming along sea creatures. but at the same tiem they could eat u lol

  • the ocean is like an abyss. im terrified of being in open water like that. even a gentle animal like that could hurt you with a swat with its tail.the ocean deep is an amazing place, but it is also a horrible place with all the different ways you could die.

  • Honestly there are a lot more different ways to die on land, you can get killed by one of your own species

  • I love whale sharks they're so beautiful!

  • jaws is fake, I love sharks, i have never been afraid of them :)

  • i loooooooove whale sharks and would enjoy a moment like this

  • This shark is beautiful and harmless

  • im scare of the ocean becuse of this creatures lol

  • i saw one of these while on a boat trip, it is an amazing animal

  • LOL

  • this thing is amazing

  • @grassmonkeybutt hi nice 2 meet u n yes it is

  • gentle giant

  • such a beautiful and simply amazing creature =)

  • wow what a beauty.... smart choice of placing dont get it mad :P the top part of it tail is long... but not as long as the rare thresher shark :P

  • the don't eat humans

  • he has balls

  • eh? o.0

    lol XD

  • haha wth is shark therapy? Where can I sign up?

  • It is when you are scared of sharks and you have to face you fears by diving with them :)

  • A whale shark is considerably easier than a great white faceoff XD

I still though could not faceoff with even a whale shark, as the "endless" space in all directions in water freaks me out, in a way that a totally dark area is, you don't know if a great white could appear out of no where and decide to "test" bite you.

I would do it however in a cage, but swimming open with endless boundaries would be terifying for me

  • i'm also afraid of sharks,

i've had nightmares about those damn things trying to eat me before,

and if i can remember right it's always a great white

we're talkin' jaws here for christ's sake!!

  • It's a filterfeeder there's not to much to fear about it.. Other then it's size >_>

  • I bought the 5 dvd's, this documentary is awesome!

  • Sounds great, I'll go ahead and download this tonight from Piratebay...

  • LOL

  • Too bad she didn't wear a tank! She could have swam much longer with the shark.

  • Her narration was annoying as shit.

  • wow i dont know what to belive some people say that whale sharks are the largest sharks to live but i still belive it is the megalodon

  • the magalodon is a prehistoric creature....the whale shark is thankfully still with us

  • well soon the whale shark gonna be extinct from the japs so you can say its the largest shark around for now i give it 4 centurys then bye bye:/

  • very sad indeed. Been diving for more than 15 years, only been so lucky to have dived with these majestic creatures 4 times. Due to netting and polution these gentle giants are disapering.

  • 4 centuries is overly optimistic. The way Asian consumption is going...

  • @300tunes after the fuckin japs are done with everything the largest shark will be a sun fish!!

  • @300tunes Fortunately it has a much larger range then japan, but may countries besides Japan hunt these beautiful animals. Though in lesser numbers I believe.

  • @300tunes Terrible attitude to have even though it's true. Whale sharks are beautiful it's a shame what people do to them.

  • lucky if they are around another 20years... most other sharks are already gone...

  • @300tunes Actually the biggest market for it is in China where it is used for the delicacy Shark Fin Soup, one fin goes for about 1,000 dollars.

  • @300tunes Use of derogatory term = FAIL

  • Please write : Whale shark in kuwait

  • You dont need a girl swimming beneath it to make this a good video whale sharks are beautifull i have seen 4 and i posted two vids go watch ty

  • hot ocean lady lol

  • Is anyone else a bit aroused by this lady in a skin-tight diving suit?

  • kind of hard to tell but I think that lady has big hooters.

  • That chick has balls. They are beautiful animals.

  • Wow! Going so close to a living being, dat is as big as a bus, is just intimidating!

  • they r very cute

  • they're so cute

    ;3

  • This should be reliving of those who think "What would happen if I was eaten by a whale shark?" There is actually a YouTube video when that happened. The diver was spit back out. ;)

  • well of course they would get spit out the whale shark can only eat little things like fish eggs that are made to float and plankton

  • i once with scuba diving and saw one....i swam back to boat and ran off i was so scared i forgot it was harmless

  • Don bluff u asshole....

  • God wow!

  • whale sharks eat only extremely small creatures but what if they accidentally swallowed something larger...

  • they would most likely spit it out if it was any larger than a trout

  • I LOVE Whale Sharks, but God, I would be so terrified. In fact, I was trembling just watching this. Weird. o.O

  • That is a giant fish!

  • Your gay smh why did you watch it then?

  • whale sharks are vegetarians and they feed on sea weed and stuff like that, sharks eat you for one reason, if they think your dying, u see some people panick and thats why sharks eat them, try to avoid sharks but if u dont then dont avoid the tip

  • been to donsol. sorsogon philippines last week.. and was lucky enough to swim with those gentle giants of the sea;)

  • Just avoid the bull sharks and tiger sharks. The chances are minimal but a spear gun wouldn't hurt just in case you do run into one. I'm sure you're aware but watch out for both nitrogen narcosis (don't go too deep; turn around if you start to feel loopy) and the bends (don't surface faster than your bubbles).

  • I would love to see one of these when I try scuba diving when I go to the Philippines this year.

  • It's funny that you sent me this. I was just looking at videos of these and other magnificent sea creatures last night. One rather disgusting aspect of whale sharks however is that they eat fish sperm. You learn something new everyday.

Enjoy your scuba diving. I hope you see the whale sharks sans the fish sperm. LOL!

  • Im doing a science fair project on that kind of shark!

  • looks like a computer animation (the woman under water)

  • I was just about to comment on that.

  • that is a beauty I wish I can do that

  • dam to me this looks fake

  • dam you supersteve theese animals beautiful

  • the wale shark is awsome!

  • Divers are now discouraged from touching whale sharks because their skin is easily broken and can get infected. So large, yet so fragile.

  • 40AcreMule...Also discouraged as the whale shark often swims off rapidly into the blue if it is touched, having sensitive skin!

  • that is awesome i wanna do that

  • That is just sooo cool!

  • so beautiful creature

  • Actually yes, it IS safe to swim with Whale Sharks. I speak from experience. They are like Whales. They feed on Plankton.

  • yes as long as you keep your distance, if you get hit by the fins, the power alone can knock you out and kill you.

  • God allowed Noah to be sucked in and transported to Nineveh to speak repentance...

  • Nineveh Sits on a high platau facing modern day mosul in iraq. These lands have not been under water since the formation of the landmasses of asia minor and india ;)

  • WOAH

  • So sad it will die by 2040 along with other marine life...

  • how do you know?????

  • palye.nvkifhnvklfrv

  • No whale sharks eat plangton

  • plankton not plangton...

  • oh shit! Does that eat man?

  • no, why else would it be called the GENTLE giant?

  • Well... There are vids about many kinds of whales, sharks and things which are supposed to be "gentle" but they drag people under the surface or eat their legs or something... So i am a bit skeptical about thees.

That "gentle giant" is big enough to open its mouth and accidentally suck man inside, right?

  • the worst thing a whale shark would do to you would be to intimidate you because it's scared of you.

IIRC whale sharks don't open their mouths that wide, basking sharks on the other hand have huge mouths.

  • They wouldn't be able to suck you in, their mouths don't open that wide and they have nothing to tear you to bits with, no teeth. The most they'd do is swim away or smack with you with it's tail or something. The only reason a usually harmless creature would turn on you is if you were annoying it, threatening it in some form or fashion or came near it's food source.

  • The footage is amazing, but she gets a bit precious and patronising which is annoying.

  • that girl dont have any oxygen and she can hold her breath for several minutes under water, pretty amazing..

  • nice wetsuit. lol.

  • youtube-kaneka23

  • wow i know im sounding weird but he is cute if you give him the chance

  • This is a shark I would love to see atleast once in my life.

  • what I wouldn't give to swim with something that magnificent. It truly would be therapeutic. I only wish I could hold my breath that long!

  • woot first coment
