OMG! i had a macintosh performa as a kid and i totally forgot that "DUN DUN DUNNNNNNN" crash sound...now im feeling all nostalgic, when all the other kids on the street were playing Doom on their PCs i was playing Power Pete
@mkfag77 I though I already told you that all you have to do is download the appropriate SDK from Microsoft and with a simple click of the mouse that "cryptic message" becomes an exact description, seems alot more useful than a cool sound and no "cryptic message" Do you troll this video too ?
@CMI1986X64 you never told me that-WTF? do you thin the average person does that? how do you click the mouse on a crashed system? do you troll all mac videos?
@mkfag77 Yes I did, go back and read our conversation if you don't believe me. I would hope that in this day and age of technology that the "average person" would atleast be somewhat versed enough to look into simple issues such as blue screens and if nothing more attempting to resolve the issue before resorting to forking over their hard earned money to a repair tech. But in the end you are still a mac user so I'm sure you r just fine with cool noises as opposed to diagnostic tools, go figure.
@CMI1986X64 the average person merely restarts the computer, hoping the issue is gone. actully, i have yet to see my mac crash. my windows boxes are a whole 'nother story....
@mkfag77 So you mean to tell me that after over a decade of house hold computers being quite common place that the "average user" still only has a technological understanding to the point to restart and hope it goes away ? Thank god I'm not one of you "average users" because I am pretty sure repeating the same action expecting a different result is the definition of insanity. I just want you to tell me regardless of user level how is a useless sound more useful than a diagnostic error message ?
@CMI1986X64 where did i say that i would do this? i merely moved to a far superior platform where the need to do so was removed. how about not needing to have either one happen?
@mkfag77 Macs crash PC's crash, it happens. In this situation would you rather have a cool sound or a diagnostic message that will tell you how to fix your computer ? It's a very simple question.
@mkfag77 Blah blah blah, yet another vague blanket statement that you cannot back up with real evidence or solid facts. Just answer the question already, In the event of a crash (regardless of OS or user aptitude level) what is more useful, a diagnostic error message that will explain to you exactly what happened, why it happened and how to fix it so it doesn't happen again. Or a cool sound that doesn't tell you shit so your machine can crash randomly again because you have no clue whats wrong.
@mkfag77 When did we start talking about your dad ? I have asked you the same question 3 times now and each time you have come up with some BS way to divert answering, just answer the question already.
@mkfag77 Just answer the question. What is more useful a diagnostic error message that contains all the information necessary to diagnose and repair your computer or an absolutely pointless sound that offers ZERO information outside of the reminder "hey dummy in-case you havn't realized, your computer just crashed again" Just answer the question, it's very easy.
@mkfag77 See that wasn't so hard, was it ? Regardless of your feelings towards one OS or another I am glad you can admit that a diagnostic error message is a far more useful tool than a pointless sound.
@mkfag77 Stop this "average consumer" bullshit. Do you even realize how massively PC's dominate the market share ? I'm sure there are 2X the people that are advanced enough to conduct their own diagnostics and repair than there are people that even own macs on the planet.
@CMI1986X64 than whom are we specifically talking about here? i know for a fact that there are comparatively few people that can use that cryptic message. would your parents, for example?
@mkfag77 comparatively what ?? I am saying that due to the massive market share domination by PC's over mac's that there are more people on this planet that can read that "cryptic message" as you call it than there are people that even own a mac all together. My dad is an IT tech so yeah he can read blue screens. Macs are really easy when they kernel panic though, since they don't tell you shit all you have to do is re install the OS and lose every thing, that is so convenient for average users
@CMI1986X64 and how many people that you know of your dads age would research the cryptic message (be honest) reinstall os after kernel panic? you really are ignorant about macs, arrent you?
@mkfag77 If an "average user" really wants to 100% correct a kernel panic then yes there is no other option than an OS re-install because instead of including a modifiable registry and diagnostic error messages macs give you a locked OS and meaningless sounds when they crash. Only option besides this is sending your machine off to apple for weeks on end so they can charge you an arm and a leg to fix it. Do you honestly believe that "people my dads age" are the market majority ?? hes 62.
@mkfag77 Being totally honest and unbiased I would say 1 in 25 of the 900 Million PC users on the planet would have the technical know how to diagnose and repair their own PC's. So after crunching the numbers that comes out to oh about 36,000,000 people or so.
@mkfag77 My best estimate really. There is no documented data on the average technical experience level of computer users, can you find an article composed by a reputable unbiased author that says otherwise ?
@mkfag77 Hahaha I just realized that you took the term "cryptic error message" directly from a "get a mac" ad hahaha. How fucking A-typical uneducated know it all mac user, wow man you never fail to amaze me with how far you have managed to fit the apple corporations dick up your ass....wow.
@mkfag77 Oh, you know you don't even have to read a letter of that "cryptic crap" to figure out what the problem is ?? Like I said a simple download and a couple clicks of the mouse and there ya go PC diagnosed. Hey tell me the exact procedure for diagnosing root cause of a kernel panic post error, does that cool sound point you in the right direction at all ?
@CMI1986X64 i dont know, in 5 years of constant use, zero kernel panics. in the 5 years before that, in windows, 5 bsods. so, in which one did i need any useable info?
@mkfag77 Wow that's funny because I have a PC of the same age as your G5 and I have never had 1 single issue with it, that's odd you seem to be having so many issues. Maybe you are comparing a mac that was engineered at over $2,500 to a PC probably at $500 and no more, or you just have no clue as to how to run windows. Either way, just go online and PM the procedure for repairing the kernel post panic, that's all you gotta do.
@mkfag77 Are you avoiding telling me the diagnostic and repair procedure for a kernel panic on a mac platform ? And no I am saying that you and so many others like you judge PC's based on your experiences with a shitty bottom end $500 machine that is composed with cheap mfg and parts that are more prone to failure and data corruption, I am saying that if you spent $2,500 on a PC it would be 100% top shelf parts all the way through and there in much more reliable/stable and higher performing.
@CMI1986X64 since ive never had one, never had reason to look for what to do. but i do have experience with the bsod. want me to relay what i did there? does the average consumer really spend 2500 on their pc?
@mkfag77 I dont give a shit if you say you have never had issues with you mac, I want you to tell me what the "average consumer" can do to diagnose and repair their OS after a kernel panic, it's really simple. Why do you make me beat these fucking answers out of you every single time ? Just answer the question and move on. No they usually don't because they can get one for 500. Same thing if there was a $500 mac, high end sales would plummit. U get what u pay for, cept in a mac u get ripped off.
@mkfag77 Yeah and your computer is 6 years old and would get eaten alive by a new $500 PC.
I like the "if all else fails, performing a general archive and install" part at the bottom. According to this page it's more difficult than repairing a PC for the simple fact that you are shooting in the dark the entire time until you find what is wrong. That is because the mac never gave you a diagnostic error message it gave you a cool sound. This was my point all along, thanks for proving it.
@mkfag77 Ok it would get eaten alive by a new $300 PC, thanks for making me type that again when you already knew exactly what I meant. So which method of repair is more acceptable for the "average consumer" Doing advanced manual hardware diagnostics all day until you maybe find the problem or googling "how to read blue screen" and following a simple 5 step process that tells you EXACTLY what is wrong and how to fix it ??
@mkfag77 Stop dodging and just answer the question already, I won't fight it out of you again. I PM'd you a link to a brand new computer and also a used computer of the same cost as your 6 year old G5.
@mkfag77 Haha I didn't but way to try and negate my point via personal slander because for the same amount of money I found a computer 5 years newer than yours with 5X the power lol. As for the 2nd one, I know that's why I sent you a link to a different machine, you should really learn to read first before you start popping off at the mouth. Do you understand how much tech has changed since your shitty power PC dual core (that couldn't even compete with P4 HT's lol, single core) ??
@mkfag77 Well as much as you are still trying to throw away the fact that one can get a brand new PC with 5 times the power of your mac, i didn't create that posting. If you don't believe me go on CL and set your limit to $300 and see what comes up. Alot more than a G5 DC, that's for sure. I have used a few, The single core P4 3.2Ghz HT in my old HP benchmarks higher than your shjitty power PC dual core, give me a break man. Apple switched to intel for a reason fool.
@mkfag77 Hmm yeah I'm sure. How convenient is that for you because I am looking at plenty of machines that are far and away much more powerful than your shitty dinosaur G5. Dude you have an old ass completely obsolete computer that you payed entirely too much money for. Just accept it and stop trying to make me believe that your 6 year old dinosaur is in any way shape for form comparable to any current technology.
@CMI1986X64 did i ever say that my computer could outperform current tech? what i AM saying is that i have a computer that for 300 dollars, is FAR above what the AVERAGE computer user has
@mkfag77 When you say XP, that covers a very large spectrum. XP ranges from 1.5Ghz P4's all the way up to Core2 Quads and AMD Quads. Even the single core P4 HT's were faster then your G5 DC, so how many computers do you think have been made in the past 6 years since then ? There is your answer.
@CMI1986X64 my g5 was at 4.1 in that list. which pentium 4s were above it? so all computers made since my g5 was made are better than it? you really are reaching now!
@mkfag77 How about you stop wasting my time and go back and actually read it this time since you obviously failed to do so when posting the link as you didn't even know there P4's on that list. The vast majority, computers manufacturers don't make a habit of making their machines slower over time now do they ?
@CMI1986X64 there were a grand total of zero pentium 4s above my g5. so every computer coming out next month will be faster than every computer made this month? get real
@mkfag77 First you said there were none at all and now you say none are faster. Actually 1 is equal and 3 are faster, keep in mind these are single core CPU's that were available in computers costing half as much as you G5 new. So now you are trying to compare technology evolution over a month compared to 6 years ? No you need to get real and stop making bullshit excuses to try and support you own views.
@CMI1986X64 i said that because YOU said there were faster ones, (which there aren't). what i am saying is that new technology (if its really slow) could actually be inferior to older technology (thus less efficient)
@mkfag77 Wow that's kind of funny because i am looking at 3 SINGLE CORE Pentium 4's that are ranked higher than the G5 2.0 DC on the link you sent me, seems like either you need to clean that pretty screen of yours or just stop being a pussy and own up to the fact you are wrong. No It can't because technology has so far surpassd your G5 that even the 100% Basic least expensive desktop from any major manufacturer still out spec you G5 by a good margin. Im making you a list, it'll be in your box
@mkfag77 You are supposed to be looking at the rating numbers to the side of the specified CPU. You are completely wrong actually the pentium 4 3.8Ghz SINGLE CORE (you seem to be ignoring the fact i am comparing a single core P4 to a dual core G5) CPU is rated at 3.8 on line 17 and your Dual G5 2.0Ghz is rated at 3.7 on line 18.
@mkfag77 We are comparing desktops just so you are aware (I can already see you trying to weasel you way out by comparing your G5 to a netbook or some shit.) Dells cheapest computer features a 2.9Ghz Dual core AMD (obviously much faster), 2GB of DDR3 1333 Dual Channel RAM, even though it is less this RAM is WAAY more by being dual channel and being over twice as fast as your 533Mhz antiques. 500GB 7200RPM SATA 3.0 GBPS HDD, (you run 5400RPM Drives @2.0 GBPS) and a Radeon 4200. Who do u want nxt?
@CMI1986X64 did i ever mention netbook???? if you think a dell is remotely close in quality to a macintosh, you really are delusional. my hd runs at 7200, also. what is your source that ram is twice as fast? and is it ecc ram like mine? is 4200 better than nvidia 6600?
@mkfag77 Dude there is NOTHING SPECIAL about the quality of your mac, I'm on a PC just as old as your mac and it still runs flawlessly. Your HDD is still only 2GBPS compared to 3GBPS and my source for your ram is the FACT your shit runs at 533Mhz and nothing more, The dells DDR3 runs at 1,333 Mhz (1.33hz) and is also dual channel there in effectively doubling that transfer speed. ECC actually slows down the clock cycles of your RAM fool. A 4200 HD has more specs/support and is PCIE2.0 not AGP
@mkfag77 Windows, which runs just fine for me and the rest of the planet that uses it. Really seems to me the only people that have such horrid things to say are you die hard mac guys (gee i wonder if there is a coincidence there?) ECC is essentially a dead technology due to other integrated tech's that do a far better job of preventing dada scrambling I am done going in circles with you in 8 different comment threads> I am taking this to PM..
@mkfag77 Does it matter what I say ? I don't think it does because I have a pretty damn solid feeling that no matter how many logical examples I give you for why windows is better you are just going to ignore them all and then spit some completely unfounded (most likely a blatant lie) bullshit about how your mac is they greatest computer ever made, just piss off and go play in the i-life or whatever you do, you bore me.
@mkfag77 No it is called picking my battles. You never listen to a fucking thing I say regardless of factual basis or logical thinking so what is the point of further wasting my time ?
@mkfag77 No I have given you plenty of logical/technical and unbiased reasons why windows is a much higher performing/compatible OS and all you have ever done is completely disregard everything I say and then try and start another argument, I will not go down this road with you anymore. You do not want to talk spec's and tech, you want to apple troll and I will no longer play your game.
@CMI1986X64 logical/tecnical unbiased? you know zip zero zilch about osx (based on linux-lol) look kid, i have been using microsoft pcs longer than you and i KNOW how they work (or don't) run away ignorant pc fanboy
@mkfag77 Yeah you have tried to tell me that before and I still don't believe you. Personally i think you are probably some teenager living in his moms basement that used one shitty $300 PC and then switched to a mac like it was so great. But regardless I did not come here to talk about you, I came to talk about tech and that is something you have proven time and time again that you can not do, so run along little mac troll.
@CMI1986X64 i started in computers in 1979 on punchcards (remember those?) what a headache THAT was. yeah, and you are the one who thought osx was based on linux. run along pc kid troll
@mkfag77 Yeah I bet, you weren't but a twinkle in your daddy's eye in 79. Tell me what 40+ year old talks about buttfucking and wastes their days talking bullshit on their youtube page ? I'm not trolling shit I just think mac users like you are the idiot scum of the computer world and I refuse to let you run around and shoot your mouth off uncontested.
@CMI1986X64 sorry to burst your bubble but i was in first year of college in 79. verticalfiles was an old adversary here, in mac vs pc. remember him? its just a joke between him and me (although he's long silent. i really should change that, now.
@mkfag77 Why would I ask anyone anything except for YOU ? What I would ask is why do YOU continue to sit here and get YOUR ass handed to YOU day in and day out ? Notice how I'm not trying to change the conversation to talking about other people IM TALKING ABOUT YOU YOU UN_EDUCATED MAC TROLL PIECE OF SHIT.
@CMI1986X64 i am telling you this because you said 'i don't believe you. since you are incapable of rational behavior, i should have known better. ignorant pc fanboy= CMI1986X64
@mkfag77 Rational went out the windows with you a long long time ago. See here is the thing, I cannot stand stupid people, even worse stupid people that think they are smart. There for I cannot stand you. So instead of making any more attempts to educate you I will now just talk shit and call you out on all the things you try and hide from the world that linger deep inside you. All the things you hate about yourself. Hopefully you will end up killing yourself and do the world a huge fuckin favor
@mkfag77 No i did not and you know this for a fact so why are you even asking ? I can send you the link again, oh wait you will probably acknowledge the info and then lie and try to say the link doesn't work after you already commented on information held within it only to then lie about lying about the link, just fuckin go away man

CMI1986X64 5 months ago
@CMI1986X64 it depends on the user. for my dad, these cryptic messages are of no use, whatsoever.
mkfag77 5 months ago
@mkfag77 When did we start talking about your dad ? I have asked you the same question 3 times now and each time you have come up with some BS way to divert answering, just answer the question already.
CMI1986X64 5 months ago
@CMI1986X64 is it better for most users? no. i was trying to use evidence to support my claim. can you prove that its better FOR MOST USERS?
mkfag77 5 months ago
@mkfag77 Just answer the question. What is more useful a diagnostic error message that contains all the information necessary to diagnose and repair your computer or an absolutely pointless sound that offers ZERO information outside of the reminder "hey dummy in-case you havn't realized, your computer just crashed again" Just answer the question, it's very easy.
CMI1986X64 5 months ago
@CMI1986X64 to some equal, to a very select few, it would be helpful. since it happens so much more in windows, i guess that's a good thing.....
mkfag77 5 months ago
@mkfag77 See that wasn't so hard, was it ? Regardless of your feelings towards one OS or another I am glad you can admit that a diagnostic error message is a far more useful tool than a pointless sound.
CMI1986X64 5 months ago
@CMI1986X64 far more useful? nope. not when the average consumer doesn't use it
mkfag77 5 months ago
@mkfag77 Stop this "average consumer" bullshit. Do you even realize how massively PC's dominate the market share ? I'm sure there are 2X the people that are advanced enough to conduct their own diagnostics and repair than there are people that even own macs on the planet.
CMI1986X64 5 months ago
@CMI1986X64 than whom are we specifically talking about here? i know for a fact that there are comparatively few people that can use that cryptic message. would your parents, for example?
mkfag77 5 months ago
@mkfag77 comparatively what ?? I am saying that due to the massive market share domination by PC's over mac's that there are more people on this planet that can read that "cryptic message" as you call it than there are people that even own a mac all together. My dad is an IT tech so yeah he can read blue screens. Macs are really easy when they kernel panic though, since they don't tell you shit all you have to do is re install the OS and lose every thing, that is so convenient for average users
CMI1986X64 5 months ago
@CMI1986X64 and how many people that you know of your dads age would research the cryptic message (be honest) reinstall os after kernel panic? you really are ignorant about macs, arrent you?
mkfag77 5 months ago
@mkfag77 If an "average user" really wants to 100% correct a kernel panic then yes there is no other option than an OS re-install because instead of including a modifiable registry and diagnostic error messages macs give you a locked OS and meaningless sounds when they crash. Only option besides this is sending your machine off to apple for weeks on end so they can charge you an arm and a leg to fix it. Do you honestly believe that "people my dads age" are the market majority ?? hes 62.
CMI1986X64 5 months ago
@CMI1986X64 ok, then use people your own age. how many know how to diagnose and solve a bsod?
mkfag77 5 months ago
@mkfag77 Being totally honest and unbiased I would say 1 in 25 of the 900 Million PC users on the planet would have the technical know how to diagnose and repair their own PC's. So after crunching the numbers that comes out to oh about 36,000,000 people or so.
CMI1986X64 5 months ago
@CMI1986X64 and what are you basing those numbers on?
mkfag77 5 months ago
@mkfag77 My best estimate really. There is no documented data on the average technical experience level of computer users, can you find an article composed by a reputable unbiased author that says otherwise ?
CMI1986X64 5 months ago
@CMI1986X64 estimate based on what?
mkfag77 5 months ago
@mkfag77 Hahaha I just realized that you took the term "cryptic error message" directly from a "get a mac" ad hahaha. How fucking A-typical uneducated know it all mac user, wow man you never fail to amaze me with how far you have managed to fit the apple corporations dick up your ass....wow.
CMI1986X64 5 months ago
@CMI1986X64 its an accurate description for all that crap on the bsod
mkfag77 5 months ago
@mkfag77 Oh, you know you don't even have to read a letter of that "cryptic crap" to figure out what the problem is ?? Like I said a simple download and a couple clicks of the mouse and there ya go PC diagnosed. Hey tell me the exact procedure for diagnosing root cause of a kernel panic post error, does that cool sound point you in the right direction at all ?
CMI1986X64 5 months ago
@CMI1986X64 i dont know, in 5 years of constant use, zero kernel panics. in the 5 years before that, in windows, 5 bsods. so, in which one did i need any useable info?
mkfag77 5 months ago
@mkfag77 Wow that's funny because I have a PC of the same age as your G5 and I have never had 1 single issue with it, that's odd you seem to be having so many issues. Maybe you are comparing a mac that was engineered at over $2,500 to a PC probably at $500 and no more, or you just have no clue as to how to run windows. Either way, just go online and PM the procedure for repairing the kernel post panic, that's all you gotta do.
CMI1986X64 5 months ago
@CMI1986X64 so are you saying that windows requires a high end computer to run well?
mkfag77 5 months ago
@mkfag77 Are you avoiding telling me the diagnostic and repair procedure for a kernel panic on a mac platform ? And no I am saying that you and so many others like you judge PC's based on your experiences with a shitty bottom end $500 machine that is composed with cheap mfg and parts that are more prone to failure and data corruption, I am saying that if you spent $2,500 on a PC it would be 100% top shelf parts all the way through and there in much more reliable/stable and higher performing.
CMI1986X64 5 months ago
@CMI1986X64 since ive never had one, never had reason to look for what to do. but i do have experience with the bsod. want me to relay what i did there? does the average consumer really spend 2500 on their pc?
mkfag77 5 months ago
@mkfag77 I dont give a shit if you say you have never had issues with you mac, I want you to tell me what the "average consumer" can do to diagnose and repair their OS after a kernel panic, it's really simple. Why do you make me beat these fucking answers out of you every single time ? Just answer the question and move on. No they usually don't because they can get one for 500. Same thing if there was a $500 mac, high end sales would plummit. U get what u pay for, cept in a mac u get ripped off.
CMI1986X64 5 months ago
@CMI1986X64 h ttp://ww w. thexlab. com/faqs/kernelpanics. html
my mac cost me 300 dollars
mkfag77 5 months ago
@mkfag77 Yeah and your computer is 6 years old and would get eaten alive by a new $500 PC.
I like the "if all else fails, performing a general archive and install" part at the bottom. According to this page it's more difficult than repairing a PC for the simple fact that you are shooting in the dark the entire time until you find what is wrong. That is because the mac never gave you a diagnostic error message it gave you a cool sound. This was my point all along, thanks for proving it.
CMI1986X64 5 months ago
@CMI1986X64 my computer was 300 dollars, not 500
the point is that since this happened so much in windows, the message was needed. that's MY point
mkfag77 5 months ago
@mkfag77 Ok it would get eaten alive by a new $300 PC, thanks for making me type that again when you already knew exactly what I meant. So which method of repair is more acceptable for the "average consumer" Doing advanced manual hardware diagnostics all day until you maybe find the problem or googling "how to read blue screen" and following a simple 5 step process that tells you EXACTLY what is wrong and how to fix it ??
CMI1986X64 5 months ago
@CMI1986X64 show me a 300 dollar pc that would eat my mac. show me!
which method of repair is needed the most?
mkfag77 5 months ago
@mkfag77 Stop dodging and just answer the question already, I won't fight it out of you again. I PM'd you a link to a brand new computer and also a used computer of the same cost as your 6 year old G5.
CMI1986X64 5 months ago
@CMI1986X64 lol, when did you post that first one on craigslist?
as for the second, i have a dual core, it's a single. again, you lose
mkfag77 5 months ago
@mkfag77 Haha I didn't but way to try and negate my point via personal slander because for the same amount of money I found a computer 5 years newer than yours with 5X the power lol. As for the 2nd one, I know that's why I sent you a link to a different machine, you should really learn to read first before you start popping off at the mouth. Do you understand how much tech has changed since your shitty power PC dual core (that couldn't even compete with P4 HT's lol, single core) ??
CMI1986X64 5 months ago
@CMI1986X64 yeah, sure you did...
and how many dual core macs have YOU run?
mkfag77 5 months ago
@mkfag77 Well as much as you are still trying to throw away the fact that one can get a brand new PC with 5 times the power of your mac, i didn't create that posting. If you don't believe me go on CL and set your limit to $300 and see what comes up. Alot more than a G5 DC, that's for sure. I have used a few, The single core P4 3.2Ghz HT in my old HP benchmarks higher than your shjitty power PC dual core, give me a break man. Apple switched to intel for a reason fool.
CMI1986X64 4 months ago
@CMI1986X64 yup crappy pcs on last legs is what comes up
mkfag77 4 months ago
@mkfag77 Hmm yeah I'm sure. How convenient is that for you because I am looking at plenty of machines that are far and away much more powerful than your shitty dinosaur G5. Dude you have an old ass completely obsolete computer that you payed entirely too much money for. Just accept it and stop trying to make me believe that your 6 year old dinosaur is in any way shape for form comparable to any current technology.
CMI1986X64 4 months ago
@CMI1986X64 did i ever say that my computer could outperform current tech? what i AM saying is that i have a computer that for 300 dollars, is FAR above what the AVERAGE computer user has
mkfag77 4 months ago
@mkfag77 Oh yeah how do you figure that lol ? What do you think the average computer is now a days ?
CMI1986X64 4 months ago
@CMI1986X64 since xp is still so large, i'd say the average computer in use has pretty basic hardware. what do YOU think?
mkfag77 4 months ago
@mkfag77 When you say XP, that covers a very large spectrum. XP ranges from 1.5Ghz P4's all the way up to Core2 Quads and AMD Quads. Even the single core P4 HT's were faster then your G5 DC, so how many computers do you think have been made in the past 6 years since then ? There is your answer.
CMI1986X64 4 months ago
@CMI1986X64 my g5 was at 4.1 in that list. which pentium 4s were above it? so all computers made since my g5 was made are better than it? you really are reaching now!
mkfag77 4 months ago
@mkfag77 How about you stop wasting my time and go back and actually read it this time since you obviously failed to do so when posting the link as you didn't even know there P4's on that list. The vast majority, computers manufacturers don't make a habit of making their machines slower over time now do they ?
CMI1986X64 4 months ago
@CMI1986X64 there were a grand total of zero pentium 4s above my g5. so every computer coming out next month will be faster than every computer made this month? get real
mkfag77 4 months ago
@mkfag77 First you said there were none at all and now you say none are faster. Actually 1 is equal and 3 are faster, keep in mind these are single core CPU's that were available in computers costing half as much as you G5 new. So now you are trying to compare technology evolution over a month compared to 6 years ? No you need to get real and stop making bullshit excuses to try and support you own views.
CMI1986X64 4 months ago
@CMI1986X64 i said that because YOU said there were faster ones, (which there aren't). what i am saying is that new technology (if its really slow) could actually be inferior to older technology (thus less efficient)
mkfag77 4 months ago
@mkfag77 Wow that's kind of funny because i am looking at 3 SINGLE CORE Pentium 4's that are ranked higher than the G5 2.0 DC on the link you sent me, seems like either you need to clean that pretty screen of yours or just stop being a pussy and own up to the fact you are wrong. No It can't because technology has so far surpassd your G5 that even the 100% Basic least expensive desktop from any major manufacturer still out spec you G5 by a good margin. Im making you a list, it'll be in your box
CMI1986X64 4 months ago
@CMI1986X64 i see my g5 on line 14 and the first pentium 4 is line 17
mkfag77 4 months ago
@mkfag77 You are supposed to be looking at the rating numbers to the side of the specified CPU. You are completely wrong actually the pentium 4 3.8Ghz SINGLE CORE (you seem to be ignoring the fact i am comparing a single core P4 to a dual core G5) CPU is rated at 3.8 on line 17 and your Dual G5 2.0Ghz is rated at 3.7 on line 18.
CMI1986X64 4 months ago
@CMI1986X64 my dual core g5 is on line 14 @4.1
mkfag77 4 months ago
@CMI1986X64 for example: is every last brand new computer faster than my g5?
mkfag77 4 months ago
CMI1986X64 4 months ago
@CMI1986X64 did i ever mention netbook???? if you think a dell is remotely close in quality to a macintosh, you really are delusional. my hd runs at 7200, also. what is your source that ram is twice as fast? and is it ecc ram like mine? is 4200 better than nvidia 6600?
mkfag77 4 months ago
CMI1986X64 4 months ago
@CMI1986X64 and what operating system are you running on pc? and which os is on the dell? is ecc better ram, though? 4200 refers to graphics card
mkfag77 4 months ago
@mkfag77 Windows, which runs just fine for me and the rest of the planet that uses it. Really seems to me the only people that have such horrid things to say are you die hard mac guys (gee i wonder if there is a coincidence there?) ECC is essentially a dead technology due to other integrated tech's that do a far better job of preventing dada scrambling I am done going in circles with you in 8 different comment threads> I am taking this to PM..
CMI1986X64 4 months ago
@CMI1986X64 so is windows better than osx?
mkfag77 4 months ago
@mkfag77 Does it matter what I say ? I don't think it does because I have a pretty damn solid feeling that no matter how many logical examples I give you for why windows is better you are just going to ignore them all and then spit some completely unfounded (most likely a blatant lie) bullshit about how your mac is they greatest computer ever made, just piss off and go play in the i-life or whatever you do, you bore me.
CMI1986X64 4 months ago
@CMI1986X64 ahh the non answer because you have no answer. afraid of something?
mkfag77 4 months ago
@mkfag77 No it is called picking my battles. You never listen to a fucking thing I say regardless of factual basis or logical thinking so what is the point of further wasting my time ?
CMI1986X64 4 months ago
@CMI1986X64 no, i am always looking for more knowledge. YOU tell ME why windows is better than osx
mkfag77 4 months ago
@mkfag77 No I have given you plenty of logical/technical and unbiased reasons why windows is a much higher performing/compatible OS and all you have ever done is completely disregard everything I say and then try and start another argument, I will not go down this road with you anymore. You do not want to talk spec's and tech, you want to apple troll and I will no longer play your game.
CMI1986X64 4 months ago
@CMI1986X64 logical/tecnical unbiased? you know zip zero zilch about osx (based on linux-lol) look kid, i have been using microsoft pcs longer than you and i KNOW how they work (or don't) run away ignorant pc fanboy
mkfag77 4 months ago
@mkfag77 Yeah you have tried to tell me that before and I still don't believe you. Personally i think you are probably some teenager living in his moms basement that used one shitty $300 PC and then switched to a mac like it was so great. But regardless I did not come here to talk about you, I came to talk about tech and that is something you have proven time and time again that you can not do, so run along little mac troll.
CMI1986X64 4 months ago
@CMI1986X64 i started in computers in 1979 on punchcards (remember those?) what a headache THAT was. yeah, and you are the one who thought osx was based on linux. run along pc kid troll
mkfag77 4 months ago
@mkfag77 Yeah I bet, you weren't but a twinkle in your daddy's eye in 79. Tell me what 40+ year old talks about buttfucking and wastes their days talking bullshit on their youtube page ? I'm not trolling shit I just think mac users like you are the idiot scum of the computer world and I refuse to let you run around and shoot your mouth off uncontested.
CMI1986X64 4 months ago
@CMI1986X64 sorry to burst your bubble but i was in first year of college in 79. verticalfiles was an old adversary here, in mac vs pc. remember him? its just a joke between him and me (although he's long silent. i really should change that, now.

that's him

@mkfag77 Yeah probably because it makes you look like a fucking weirdo, i still dont believe you at all btw.

@CMI1986X64 go ask this user: aussie114. he would know me better as "ignorantpcfanboys"
mkfag77 3 months ago
@mkfag77 Why would I ask anyone anything except for YOU ? What I would ask is why do YOU continue to sit here and get YOUR ass handed to YOU day in and day out ? Notice how I'm not trying to change the conversation to talking about other people IM TALKING ABOUT YOU YOU UN_EDUCATED MAC TROLL PIECE OF SHIT.
CMI1986X64 3 months ago
@CMI1986X64 i am telling you this because you said 'i don't believe you. since you are incapable of rational behavior, i should have known better. ignorant pc fanboy= CMI1986X64
mkfag77 3 months ago
@mkfag77 Rational went out the windows with you a long long time ago. See here is the thing, I cannot stand stupid people, even worse stupid people that think they are smart. There for I cannot stand you. So instead of making any more attempts to educate you I will now just talk shit and call you out on all the things you try and hide from the world that linger deep inside you. All the things you hate about yourself. Hopefully you will end up killing yourself and do the world a huge fuckin favor
CMI1986X64 3 months ago
@CMI1986X64 did you use a refurbished computer in your comparison or not?
mkfag77 3 months ago
@mkfag77 No i did not and you know this for a fact so why are you even asking ? I can send you the link again, oh wait you will probably acknowledge the info and then lie and try to say the link doesn't work after you already commented on information held within it only to then lie about lying about the link, just fuckin go away man
CMI1986X64 3 months ago
@CMI1986X64 i will show that you did, in a video next weekend along with your rude comments about steve jobs passing. get ready, kid
