  • Ya, idk y but i like this version better

  • Amazing, better than the original IMO.

  • @MrDeftones1987 This IS the original

  • Fuck seether. They made me get ear jizz all over my computer desk and computer, Again D:<

  • Wow, sounds raw as hell. I like it.

  • GR3A7

  • i like this version mooore !

  • this song is really a grunge song the appeal of it is like the early days like the mid 90's type of grunge song.very good

  • Actually I think Shaun used a 7 string for this version. Amazing if he did, amazing if not.

  • I really wish Saron Gas didn't have to change their name. With the changing of their name they left so many good albums, songs, and performances with them. "Seether" didn't quite make music like Saron Gas.

  • @OppermanProductions It was changed because Saron gas was a homophone of "Sarin Gas", a deadly nerve toxin developed in WW2 by the nazis. The Music sounds and change in person were strictly them. wind up has nothing to do with it.

  • @pplinmypocket I know the story behind it. I'm from South Africa, I was there when they changed their name. I just feel that their style changed along with their name. I find all of their better music was under the name Saron Gas. Not Seether.

  • @OppermanProductions look, in the music buisness, you cant just do what you want. you either dress up and play the part and you get payed, or youre on the streets. shuan does write the lyrics, but for the most part their choices can be very limited. and plus, seether has never stuck to just one sound. its why we love their music.

  • @pplinmypocket What does that have to do with ANYTHING we just said? XD

  • @OppermanProductions studios make you do weird things, changes the mindsets of the artists, and fame does so as well. I like most of their "seether stuff" but like all bands i always love the early stuff more

  • @jballaviator Thank you. Seether is a great band with great music, but its not a pretty world. besides the FCC(federation of CONTENT control, jsut incase you thought that was just TV) and studios have almost ALL the control over the sound. WInd- Up mixes it, Wind up fine tunes it, and Wind-up practically makes it.

  • true

  • Saron gas "seether" so many memories. Excellent

  • Comment removed

  • this original i so much better

  • All of seethers songs are amazing regardless.

But I'll be honest when i say this stuff was raw and had more heart than disclaimer. even though disclaimer was still excellent.

  • Love every single version of this song.

  • @everyoneissleeping Same here bro.

  • holy shit this one sounds ten times better than the newer version of it!!! where can i get this cd

  • @GloryHole4 you can get the cd on ebay cheapest price 4 this cd is 40 bucks

  • Is it just me or does the original flow better?

  • @bubbujones No, it's just you. And yes, the original has a much more solid and free-flowing sound than the one on Disclaimer.

  • I wish i could get my hands on this album, i love it. its so different, but its exactly the same. Seether and Shaun, you are my idols.

  • I'm a huge seether fan I've never heard a song of thers that I don't like but to methosversion is way better than the disclamer version

  • They changed it cause they didnt want it getting confused with the serine gas. I don't get why people thing they sound different, its all the same people. They just changed their name >_>

  • this song reached down deep within me and touched my heart in a way. i love it

  • 1:41-2:02

    You Say It's Over...I Can Sigh Again...Yeah...

Why Try Stay Sober...When I'm Dying Here..

  • @erasmogarcia53 I can understand what you mean about the sound, but I fully disagree with your opinion anyways. I think a large part of it is that his accent is much more audible in this version, which oddly enough, makes me like this version more.

  • Better then Disclaimers version

  • sounds different to seether. just a little. great song

  • I want to know the meaning of Saron Gas, Shaun said in a Interview they changed it because of 911, but apparently it was bad. Well the defineition of Saron Gas was probably bad but it sounds awesome.

  • Comment removed

  • @queenalexianna it's referencing sarin gas, a nerve agent that is classified as a weapon of mass destruction by the UN. around the time they came over, the US was obviously sensitive about "weapon of mass destruction."

  • @queenalexianna is it ironic that i read this comment on 9/11?

  • This is so much better than their studio editted version, its got the life of a live recording but the clarity of the studio... meh favorite part is 3:20-3:30 where they go into the conflicting harmony for 'everythings gonna be fine'

    =X

  • why do i liek this version more then their version on Disclaimer >.> >.<

  • I like how I listen to Saron Gas and it just makes me like Seether a whole lot more. To hear their past songs and still like what they're doing with their music. :D

  • i like this better than the disclaimer version..the song is raw, giving the lyrics more conviction.

  • This song is amazing. I used to listen to it when reading all the time. Made for great background music to quite a bit of reading. One of my favorite songs, simple as that.

  • I love the intro

  • Why try to stay sober when I'm dieing?

There's no one left to blame it on.

  • happier with every single song* lmfao

  • I like this version ^^

Seether makes me a happier song with every single song :D

  • i thnk this one is better than thenewer one, especially from 0:35 to 0:55

  • i love this song so much. Their voice attract me so much.

  • What a Perfect song (y)

  • wow the name changed and the song did too :P

  • cool

  • not sure... I think I like this version better, it's got more feeling in it or something ^^

  • can you buy saron gas on itunes?? I know its the same thing as Seether but I want some of the older versions of their songs.

  • ur best bet 2 get Saron Gas tunes is ebay. can't find it on itunes, limewire or anywhere else

  • im gay

  • @theblakemonste , my name is blake and im gay too, lol jk but seriously my name is blake

  • hmm i read on wikipedia this can be considered a coming out moment. I am supposed to back you up and give you support. You can do it!

  • @theblakemonste

    What do we care?!

  • LOL

  • i lik this better thn the disclaimer version. Its just the shit dude. lol.

  • i like this version a lot. i'm not sure if i like it more than the disclaimer version but they're both good so i doesn't really matter

  • a lot of these saron gas versions are better than the disclaimer ones

  • I much prefer the subtle interlude in this version. The Seether version has a weird guitar "solo" that just sounds out of place.

  • i love the chorous in this version but every song but Seether/Saron Gas are just too awesome

  • wow do you know where i could get this cd?

  • Your best bet would probably be ebay.

  • Torrent it.

  • download it in a torrent or u can look on ebay or amazon

  • ebay

  • 1:41 guitars are what i really miss from this version. this version in general seems more like a sad song than the others.

  • what a tune!!!makes me nostalgic...

  • I much prefer the orginal Fine Again ... its got a fresher and more captivating sound ... thanks for putting it up

  • This is my all time favourite song by Seether. It is the first I ever heard also. I can't wait to buy Fragile, plus the new album! I hope it is more like this :D

  • I think they really carry on Kurts legacey well certainly when they were SG

  • Comment removed

  • like the one cold night acoustic version the best, they sound always better acoustic

  • @blabloobblubb with one exception, actually) tied my hands from fragile sounds a lot better, it has kind of special atmosphere, imho)

  • Use to be a huge Saron Gas fan, but as soon as they became Seether, they changed a lot. I remember when this song came out in SA, huge hit! Love it. Support South African music...

  • I think the beginning part sounds better on Disclaimer, but yeah the rest of the song is a lot better here.

  • this one is better in my opinion

  • shaun's voice sounds so different then it does now RAGE

  • the seether version has better drums

  • I must admit that this is much better than the real. but I it is the same group, so what the hell! LOVE SEETHER

  • than the real? this is the original. they originated in africa with the name saron gas but changed it to seether when they came to america. this is the real one. read the song list for the album fragile...disclaimer has a lot of the same songs as this one. but this is the original album.

  • i'm a fan of seether and i had no idea they were Saron Gas, or that there was an original version of this song. The seether version is great, but this one in my opinion is 10x better

  • totally agree man much smoother

  • i really like this version of the song better.. [: although i like the guitar dynamics more in the newer version. it's more rock ish, i guess. haha. either way, seether/saron gas is amazing. [[: <3

  • Saw somewhere that the producer on Disclaimer was a hardass perfectionist, Shaun specifically wasn't happy with some of outcome of that albumn. (Hence Disclaimer II).

Glad somebody posted these, "Tied My Hands" was the only song from Fragile that I'd heard, had no idea some of my favorites had been around this long.

  • they tried to perfect the songs on disclamer too much, that's what was bad about it

  • Yeah, and Disclaimer and Disclaimer II came out as masterpieces. Their best work, ever.

  • personally i think karma and effect is my favorite. im not sure why. alot of the songs on k and e connect to me. but disclaimer II is a very close second.

  • You're right, it is a close call. The way I rate it is Karma and Effect has better songs overall, but Dicslaimer II has more good songs, a 20 track CD versus a 14; 13 1/2 really. But in Karma and Effect their sound matured more, not to mention they got a new producer and Shaun's voice sounds more raw, I like it. At any rate, they're both 10 miles higher than FBINS. Just hoping this 2009 album will bring 'em back.

  • well personally, i enjoy fbins. but hell, i like every song these guys ever did, haha

  • today I found out that people have uploaded Saron Gas onto Youtube....

today is a day that I am happy.

  • @odmggmdo wanted to thumbs up your comment about a hundred times!

  • who is saron gas? seethers old name or somin?

  • yep. they r incredible

  • Yeah it was their old name before their record label made them change it.

  • this version is superior to the new (as is the case with most seether hits of these songs).

  • This is so much better than the new stuff...

    =[

  • I remeber the first time i saw saron gas live in jhb roxy's the where great then and still are thanks for the flash back

  • Ahh,this is the song i live my life by...

  • And you take the time to find a rare version of a popular song to post that? You're fucking stupid.

  • Took me about 20 seconds.

  • good for you fag.

  • Awesome. You're hilarious.

  • For me personally sounds even better seether than nirvana :S i mean live*

  • Old Seether/ Saron Gas is SO much better than "Finding Beauty In Negative spaces"

  • god u have to love seether....btw cud anyone tell me y they changed their name?? i've heard coz sum gas...the nazis used was saron gas?? help me out...peace

  • yeah, it is a deadly gas the nazis used to exterminate. seether (saron gas) was being pressured by rights groups and the like to change it, so they did

  • I like the raw sound of the guitar in this one, it does sound pretty cool. But the singing in this one sucks compared to the Disclaimer version, he got a way more experienced voice, and better recording equipment after moving to Windup.

  • most of south african rock bands have this raw rock sounds its pretty cool, either way seether (saron gas) rocks!

  • Both versions are great, but this is so much grittier than the other one....his voice sounds practically angelic...

  • Disclaimer version was not as raw

  • i saw these guys in springfield mo back in 04... awesome show

  • wow this version is beautiful

  • Wow this is just as good if not better than the new version, seether is amazing yeahhhhhhhhhhh

  • I like both versions of this song, but the Disclaimer version is obviously better. The recording quality is just a little higher.

  • Great song. @vitalea9: There is a program with that you can download the audio thing(don't know the english word), legally from youtube. Just search for "Youtube to mp3 converter".

  • i like this version. you can hear his accent really well. btw, did anyone else know his mother was african and his dad was english? pretty fuckin' cool.

  • ya i agree. this version is better i think. i wish there was a way to get it on my ipod. will they sell saron gas songs on itunes? or is it just seether

  • go download voobys, you can convert the video into a music file

  • you can give it a shot, but in their 'one night' performance, they said that anything from Saron Gas was not going to be redone again.

i'm sure you can get this song, but probably not this version.

makes me a little sad, lol.

  • They are going to come out with a CD this year that has been rumored to be a re-release of Fragile.

  • theres a strong rumor all their b-side and saron gas songs will be released on an album this year. i hope it turns out to be true. since ive found saron gas, i have fallen in the love with the sound. otherwise, the album is about 35 bucks on ebay.

  • tubetilla ;) and i also found it on limewire

  • ORLY? omfg.

  • Yeah South African. Thats where he get his accent. I actually got to meet and talk to him here in kansas city a few years back. Amazingly cool and down to earth guys. Especially Shaun.

  • Damn, your lucky! Wish i was you... ;)

  • me too!

    hes so sweet

  • because they were required to if they wanted to be signed by Wind Up Records

  • so why did seether change their name from Sharon Gas

  • their producers did'nt like saron gas, its a homophone for sarin gas which is a deadly nerve agent

  • We all came looking for Seether, but stayed for Saron Gas.

  • where can i download this song?

  • same here, i like'm both though

  • I like this version better, more emotion

  • the vocals sound better in the newer one but the music has alot more emotion with the song and has better dynamics

i like this one better 5/5

  • hey did they ever make a video for this song or did they gist for the seether version

  • so different..

    i love this song *.*

  • wow this is better than the other version

  • Saron Gas had kind of better songs then Seether. This version is much better

  • so pleased that you tube has this song/album,i had mine stolen 5 years ago and was gutted as it was a signed to me...saron gas rock...

  • this is awesome but by far my favourite has to be the itunes version it gives me shivers just search it it's amazing!

  • YaY

  • Saron gas was the best!

  • omg i love this version!!

  • i personally think this version is better

  • You know, they wrote this song because they were pissed at Musketeer records? Kind of funny =P. All because they needed to write a single. I love this song so much, dont get me wrong. I just thought there would be a deeper meaning =P.

  • Big hit from them..first song I heard from em I really liked em in these days..to me theyre not AS raw anymore but they still make great music.

  • There's no synthed sounds in this version aswell, by any chance did they change the song to make it more listenable towards english speaking culture, like most modern music and shows are spoken through an american accent, while this sounds more south african. Just a thought, anyone know/agree?

  • South Africa is a majority white, English-speaking country. They have slight British accents, other than that, it's all the same to Americans and Brits.

  • erm...actualy the population of south africa is 79% black....and only a minority speak english as their day-to-day language....but hey, it aint important....

  • I was told it was majority white by an a friend who used to live there. Guess he was exaggerating.

  • I'd say South Africans have more of a Australian accent. Shaun sounds nothing like a British person.

  • i know!

  • lol Americans, South Africans have a South African accent! White South Africans are largely descended from the Dutch (Boers) and so I guess that it mite be influenced by that along with an influence from the natives. It sounds nothing like a british or an australian accent. Afrikaans i think might me the main language (which again influences the accent).

  • why does it matter what colour people are?

songs great, and I personally don't think they changed it for culture. I don't see how that has anything to do with culture. They probably just decided to go back and "re-enhance" the song. Both versions are good.

  • You bring a good point jester026, but i never said anything about the colour of people, i'm not discriminating, i'm saying that the record company may have made it more listenable to mainstream culture, that's different.

  • I like them both, but this this one has more emotion. the lead singers do sound alike.

  • You are such a dumbass. Shaun Morgan...same guy both bands. Idget!

  • everybody thinks the lead singers are different their the same his name is shaun welgemoed but just changed his last name to morgan and that confuses everyone

  • He didn't change his name to Shaun Morgan, that is his middle name he's going by that title because he thinks his actual last name would be hard to pronounce so that's why its Shaun Morgan get your Saron Gas/Seether facts right!

  • Who marked fallingfallen down? They're right...

  • Yes Welgemoed would be heard to say. We don't want preps going around saying his last name wrong. he he i love seether. I agree with you. =]

  • Wow, This lead singer sounds exactly like the one from Seether. LOL I apologize, I had to say it.

  • way better than new one.. it sounds raw and original

  • dude, im lovin this one, i think the disclaimer version seems way to clean and cleaned up. this is a lot more raw. IT ROX!!!

  • This version is better

  • yeah this is good

  • I too like this version better

  • I love this song! Both versions are awesome, but I really like this one better because I feel there is more emotion to, you know? I also really like how near the ending, the voices kind of collide together? lol maybe that's not the word I'm looking for, but I love how that sounds and I don't think that happens in the newer version. . .
