I never liked this game. The running game was too black-and-white. You would either run for no gain or your man would barely move and gain 5+ yards. It's as though the players are too big in relation to the field, or just move too quickly. There's nothing more frustrating than being on defense and having the guy look as though he's barely made progress only to get a first down. I think the versions before and after this were just more fun to play.

I think I'm remembering Madden 94. I would always choose the All Madden team and run the "End Around" play. If you set the end in motion, the QB would have no one to hand off to, he would then pause momentarily before throwing a phantom lob pass to the would be ball carrier turned receiver now running, wide open, down the sideline. Worked almost every time.

This was the first glimps of American Football I ever got [I'm British], I was about 8 years old and I loved this game - I used to Fake field goal a lot! lmao...

I've just recently got back into NFL and love it, I've just bought Madden 10 [the first Madden since the 94 one]. It's a lot harder than I expected as I haven't grown up playing it like FIFA, but I'll get used to it!

This is still a great game. I played this game into the ground when it came out. And it's funny that the video shows the two best teams of that era. People, especially younger ones do not know just how good the 49ers and Cowboys were in the early and mid 90's.
