  • What are the specs of this conversion?

  • Love the car, hate the eyelids.

  • Great Music Choice ;)

  • so i watch this video and i cant belive it that on toyota supra n/a motor you can put turbo...tats great adn good job...just tell me one thing. Have you got all pipes with a turbo or you gave it to produce because I think it has certain differences between the original turbo engine, and this n / a

  • nice man, my na had 190,00 miles on it when i put the turbo on it it now has 240,00 and its running great. im plaining on getting a new engine but that just goes to show how good these engines are

  • jesus thats one of the ugliest supras i have ever seen, you sir are a ricer........

  • @Schef300 what car are you looking at? The body on this is totally standard you retard. Where are the Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements you talk about? Theres no bolt on body bits like you would with your average Rice'd up civic...?

  • did you change the compression?

  • @ILikeToExplore he will be on standard compression at 10psi. Any more boost and he would have needed to change the compression and add a standalone ecu/engine management system to up the air-fuel mixture> Na/t supras rock

  • for the first time i came to know that how to install turbo kit

  • very good supra!

  • have you ever thought about dumping the dizzy and running the 7m CPS and a waste spark igniter like off the IS300, and going to NA/COP system?

  • Nice music at background^^

  • When it was still NA what was that chrome pipe going to the air filter or where can I get one from

  • yes finaly this is what we want to hear when we watch these type of vids

  • sweet Jesus, mother of GOD! O_O

Just look at the size of that TURBO!!

  • beautiful job

  • 3 persons got owned by a Supra

  • such a pity u sold it, its a gorgious fast car.

the fact that it was NA makes it even more cool.

  • could u run the stock fule set up or did u have to change it

  • Pretty nice all around, when I turboed my supra(85) I had trouble finding the right width 3" V-Band clamp on the turbo, went through 5 of em, the "B" measurement was to narrow, did this kit come with any trouble like that?

  • Nice job man , probably the best n/a + t conversions Ive seen , i was going to go down the same track but decided to bite the bullet and got the GTE

  • nice JOB!!!!!!

  • OK question... im hearing this NA NA-T talk wtf does it mean.. plz dont tell me it stands for naturally aspirated and naturally aspirated-turbo... because if it does... wow... really.. wow..

  • @luckyamo15 it meas its a boost na motor in other words its not the factory boost model of the engine. but the factory n/a motor that is boosted

  • were u live dude not in nz are u???

  • I like that background "music" ;P

  • I liked the car noise to go along with the slide show...nice touch!

  • did you use a turbo kit? and what kind?

  • hurray

  • nice car mate, what city was the guy u sold it to ? man, i wanted to get that bonnet but i was at work and forgot that the auction is closing at 7 or so... whould be nice to see it to the next supra meeting in akl or somewhere

  • hey i bought this car lol. (im in auckland) keen for the next meet message me when

  • Hey, is the kit still running fine and are there any downsides on the xspower kit?

People say its a crap brand and that its to cheap but i believe its actualy working and that its an amazingly high buck for power ratio.

    Am i right?

  • yip your right..great bang 4 buck.

still going fine, but I just sold the car last week. the only downside is you need a few extra parts along the way when doing the install

  • @stsupra94 If you don't mind me asking, why did you sell it?

  • nice!!!

  • how much did the build cost if you dont mind me asking?

  • The audio from this clip is from Nicholas Kiesa Driving his Supra on Brand's Hatch Track. You can view the video by typing in Kiesa and looking for a Supra interior shot.

  • this cars for sale on tradme atm 18gs mean as bout 380hp perfect i wanna do the same to mine

  • how much money did you spent on during the conversation? have you used turbo swap parts in a pack ?

  • i can listen to dis all day

  • show a fuckin video man

  • verrryyyy nice and help full video just got my 93 na and i was thinking to go turbo but was wondering how much ur pushing and how much more money would i save rather then buying the 2jz swap cuz i got my 93 for 10gs and wanting to spend around 6-8 more on engine info pls pm or somthing sir!!!!!! 5 on the vid btw

  • 2jzdett? dont u mean a 2jz-gte

  • did u changed your transmission ???

  • ok.

    im confused...

is he putting a turbo on his NA motor or was the car NA and he did a 2JZ Turbo?

  • Yip I put a turbo kit on my NA 2JZ motor.

  • thats actually a VERY smart idea. take for instance, you have a eclipse gs and a gst, if you turbo the gs, it would fuck up the gst, cause of the turbo compression on the NA motor. VERY SMART, GOOD WORK STSUPRA94

  • No it wont... its a smart idea i wonder why all the high hp guys use na 2jz blocks?

  • Your a fucking idiot, you know nothing about cars. I'm a mechanic. i would know.

my twin turbo 2jz is a 2JZ-GE and it fucks up tons of GTEs thats my only mod to my car to, the turbos. So thanks.

Learn about cars then reply to this comment.

    -(512whp)

  • ??? What are you talking about? i did not knock the 2jz ge i said most high hp guys use them instead of the gte blocks because of the oil squirters.

  • yeah but you can only run so much boost because of high compression.

  • @Audi2000t why would you replace boost with high compression?? make 400hp with high compression low boost is better than 400hp low compression high boost... Less lag, less wear and tear.

  • @TypeR891 yes it may be less lag and require less boost to make similar power. i did turbo charge a r31 rb30e years back, and it made nice power, had some nice mid range torque but fuck all output power and the most i could run was about 10psi.

at the end of the day low compression motors, high boost, proper tune will always make more OUTPUT power compared to high compression low boost.

  • @Audi2000t The only reason that a Low comp Hi boost setup will make more power is because of knock If you had C16 with Hi comp and low boost it would give a farrr better power band But if you want a dyno queen with the highest number possible you would run Low compression But it wont have nearly as good a powerband

  • what gearbox are you running and how much power are you making??

    cheers

  • std NA supra gearbox W58. 280KW at the wheels 10PSI

  • cheers mate. was interested in doing mine but just worried about gearbox not taking it. thanks for the reply =)

  • what kit did you use and where

  • what does N/A stand for..and wats the diff between N/A and the other supra..

because i am planing on buying a is300 and it comes with a 2jz engine..the same one that comes with the N/A supra..thats why im asking

    =]

  • NA stands for naturally aspirated.. no turbo, no super charger... IS 300 is a good car,, but hp for NA is like 230 max at rear wheels..but if you turbo the 2jz-.. you can get anywhere from 300rwhp ++ depending on how much psi you run.. but NA imo is a growing market for IS's... im going NA for now. until i can afford 10g for a turbo.

  • oh ok thanks..

    i know the is300 comes with a 2jz-gt..and a supras is a 2jz-gte..

so will u turbo the 2jz-gt..or will you swap it for a gte?

  • Question.. Why (0:57) does the turbo have 2 exhaust outlets ? Is it something to do with the wastegate ? Pardon my ignorance - I always thought all available exhaust gas went through the turbine..?

  • other exhaust pipe is for the external wastegate :P

  • 2JZ....no s......

  • dude sick na-t supra are the sounds in the backround your car? btw i have a non turbo supra thinking about getting the turbo conversion kit

  • good job

I have a car with the same engine

    2jz-ge

I'm thinking of installing a turbo.

how much would that cast me?

  • Comment removed

  • The cheapest possible kit with install would be about $3000.

  • umm for a decent turbo your looking at an overal price of like 2g to 6g,, depending on how much you want to spend, you will need to change alot more so the engine is prepted to handla a turbo such as cams.. rings,, crank etc.

  • how many horspower and how much money???

  • how many horspower can i get when i get thats stuff on my supra mkiv non turbo?

dowpipes, headers, hks dragger 4inch,camgears, all pulleys and hks green air filt.. some one can guess?

  • Brother trust me, dont buy anything until you know how much power you want!!! decide on how much power you want first before you get parts not the other way around, especially that 4inch dragger exhaust your car might sound alright but it will run rough, stall n even cause you to lose power rather then gain if you don't match it with decent kws.

  • Nice car man!!!!

Where did you buy the Turbo kit?

  • did you install your cams then forget that you couldn't install the heads with them on?

  • nah, that was just a test fit on the spare head I have in the garage.

  • hey brotha cool vid!!!

y does everyone say u can make more power with a 2jzgte then a ge when the only difference is oil squirts?? I was at a work shop in Sydney and they tested a gte head against a ge head and the ge head had a MUCH better flow then the turbo head. if i had my choice of engines to build up from scratch i would choose a 2jzge

  • Cheers man, yeah I know the GE is a great base to turbo, the head does flow better, the biggest down side is that it's a high compression engine. But overcome by changing the head gasket or pistons. I'm just running std compression and low boost...it's a nice allround power band on and off boost. great for the street.

  • what are you using to control your air/fuel?

Iv got a wrecked mk4 im building at the moment no engine yet but im planing to get a ge and use cp pistons with a toyota gte gasket , I managed to pick up a r154 with 1j bell housing rather then go for the w58 so I should be able to push some descent power.

Have you ever had any experience with mapecu2, know of any supras in NZ or AUS using it???

  • Don't know much about the mapecu. I've got a GTE map sensor, and a Greedy emanage ultimate piggyback. Works great. Your project sounds great. you on facebook??

  • unique video, I can listen to that engine all day :)

  • the GTE has more then just oil squirters. It has thicker galleys and lands for the bearings, a stronger crank shaft, stronger internals stock (easy enough fix), oil squirters ARE EXTREMELY important for high boost applications, and other things are a little different.

The 2jzge was built by toyota, the 2jz gte was built by some company in germany.

  • nah man i know for FACT!!! block, crank, pistons (ge high comp), rods are exactly the same parts. i know vvt versions arnt the same internals, if you goin for 1000hp then yeah squirters are important but 4 street using quality pistons who cares.

I dont think thats right about being made in Germany , I know the 2jzgTe v160/v161 transmission was made by Getrag which is a German company but not the engine.

  • yip thats right...the block, crank etc is the same. and the getrag trans made in Germany,

but the engine??? no way! were the hell did you get that from?? I'm with what Mattjt is saying.

  • sorry boss, engines were made in germany.

The firm below is who developed the final specs for the 2jzGTE. (NOT THE GE! They may be SIMILAR but they are not the same!)

    Johann A. Krause Maschinenfabrik GmbH

Please accept this as something cool you didnt know before, instead of getting pissy with me. do some research if you dont believe me.

  • dude the final development/design was done by them. But they were still made in Japan, I'm not saying the engines are the same...just the bottom end, the head is not even close. Below is just a copy and patse from some sites.

  • "It's mechanical basis was the existing 2JZ-GE, but differed in its use of sequential twin turbochargers, an air-to-air, front-mounted intercooler. The block, crank, and connecting rods of the 2JZ-GE and 2JZ-GTE are the same with the exception that the 2JZ-GTE has oil jets on the connecting rods to aid in cooling the pistons"

  • "The 2JZ-GTE is an inline-layout, six-cylinder, belt-driven dual-overhead camshaft, air-intercooled, twin-turbocharged, cast-iron engine designed and manufactured by Toyota Motor Corporation that was produced from 1991 through 2002 in Japan. Final development of the 2JZ-GTE was outsourced to German engineering firm Johann A. Krause Maschinenfabrik GmbH for refinement to meet production car homogolation"

  • Correction. crank on the GE and GTE are exactly the same. for instance. say you have a 2JZ-GE.. put TT rods, pistons. HG and youll virtually have a GTE except the head. the head isnt possible to put on there. the only diff from GTE and GE.. like you said. oil squirters, coil packs, diff head. GE technicly can be a better track car cuz the exhaust side flows better than the TT does so you can run bigger turbo with less lag. but TT in general is les of a head ache

  • Is that a XS Power turbo kit?

  • yip

  • hey dude i have a 93' na supra and i want to know how u ran the hard pipe straight to ur filter without any mass air flow sensor. pls replay back

  • It's a Jap spec supra...no air flow sensor.

    MAP sensor.

  • Nice video, i have one question, I have 1993 Supra MKIV with 2JZ-GE engine and Automatic transmission and I want to buy 2JZ-GTE engine with Manual transmission, it's possible to do this swap??? thks anyway

  • Not worth it. At all. Your looking at 10000 for the entire swap. And even if you swap a GTE into a GE, it still wont make even close the how much power the GTE does.

  • good supra and great body kit...

  • How long did it take you to do that?! i've got a NA supra 94 , & I'm a apprentice mechanic.

i was either going to selll it and buy a TT ,

Have you got a engineers cert for it?

  • haha, yeah thats the only pic thats not mine.

didn't have a pic of my kit. Was hoping you wouldn't mined. sorry and thanks.

  • hahaha.. you stole my pic! the one of the kit layed out on my garage floor! you jerk! haha

  • OMG LOVE THIS FCKING SOUND FROM HELL!!

  • 1 word. RESPECT
