bring forth verses that order respect for the "Sahaba" Allah calls mua'wiya, and his descendant the "shajara mal'oona," or the "cursed tree" in the Quran. Imam Ali (AS) was raised by our beloved prophet, and inherited his knowledge. Who else than Ali had only one piece of salt and bread for all his meals? Who else lived in his own house and sowed his own shoes even while he was caliphate?!!! You have no respect for our prophet's family, whatsoever! Your caliphs even killed Fatima!

Go follow the examples the Bible sets, the part where Prophet Lot (pbuh) is depicted as getting drunk/banging his daughters, or where it says Prophet David (pbuh) got a married woman pregnant and killed her husband. The problem with Catholics is that they ascribe properties and powers to their saints that suggest the following:
1) They have power independent of God
2) That God has granted them intercession.
For hundreds of years, Muslims had no issue with this practice. But ever since this new bidaah sect known as Salafism, people are doubting the most basic facets of Islam

Go read Surah Nisa, verse 64. Allah tells people that they should GO TO Muhammad to seek forgiveness.
The Prophet was more than a mere messenger...we can use him to reach Allah (swt). This is no where even near Shirk. Shirk would be if we said the Prophet had powers independent of Allah (Astaghfurallah).
Be open-minded. Don't you think Shi'as have heard these child-like arguments over and over? Do taffakur and ask Allah (swt) for guidance

I am open minded, i was a catholic before,people go to priests to ask for forgiveness, because jesus is not here. We just cry to allah in the dark of the night and ask him, there is no intermediary between us and him. thats the beauty of islam. but u follow the deluded ways that all the other religions went down
