Sadly this video documents the role reversal of the major parties with regard to race. In the 19th Century the Republicans were all about racial equality,in the 20th they adopted the "southern strategy" to encourage racists in the south to abandon the Democratic Party because of the likes of FDR, Kennedy and LBJ who championed the rights of African Americans. The simple fact is once Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act the parties pretty much reversed roles with respect of Civil Rights and racism.
Here is what you have missed. The 13th amendment, the 14th amendment, and the 15th amendment should have ended the Civil Rights movement. It should have been done. But, along come the Democrats, put in Black Codes, voting laws, segregation laws, Jim Crow laws, formed the KKK, etc etc etc.
It took them around 150 years to catch up with the rest of America to past the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act, all things that were only needed to counter laws the Democrats put in place

You must be very confused. The sponsor of the 1964 civil rights act was Everett Dirksen the Republican Senate Minority leader from Illinois. Republicans almost unanimously favored the civil rights act, with opposition being primarily from Barry Goldwater who had trouble with the affirmative action provisions.

Both parties consider themselves above the law and THAT is what we all (freedom-lovers) should be discussing. There are good and bad in both parties and each has its 'core followers'. This is a very informative video, though it would take some time to verify the quotes and statements attributed to it. But in all, if all of it is accurate, then there is a very strong case for EVERY Democrat AND Republican to take a hard look at what they want for this great Republic. In the 19th Century the Republicans were all about racial equality,in the 20th they adopted the "southern strategy" to encourage racists in the south to abandon the Democratic Party because of the likes of FDR, Kennedy and LBJ who championed the rights of African Americans. Also, Reagan ran on a "states rights" platform and threatened to veto the Voting Rights Act. Here is what you have missed. The 13th amendment, the 14th amendment, and the 15th amendment should have ended the Civil Rights movement. It should have been done. But, along come the Democrats, put in Black Codes, voting laws, segregation laws, Jim Crow laws, formed the KKK, etc etc etc.
It took them around 150 years to catch up with the rest of America to past the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act, all things that were only needed to counter laws the Democrats put in place

You must be very confused. The sponsor of the 1964 civil rights act was Everett Dirksen the Republican Senate Minority leader from Illinois. Republicans almost unanimously favored the civil rights act, with opposition being primarily from Barry Goldwater who had trouble with the affirmative action provisions.

anyone worth thier grain of salt knows that the republican party has changed. intially the lincoln party, and the party that was supported by african americans, with the new deal in the 1930's and the new left moving into the democratic party, the parties switched places. with the growing populist, religious right wing of the dems moving over to the retooled republican party in the 1970-1980's, the parties changed spots... duh. if republicans were still lincoln's party i'd respect them.

I think you should fast forward the video and watch the end portion. Shows that the Democrat party hasn't changed at all.
Not to mention, many of the people who opposed civil rights in the 70s, are still in office today .... and still Democrat. Robert Byrd would be an example. Anyone worth their grain of salt would know that.

Mayor Daly back in 2000 or now Obamer's Chicago roots sent a whole bunch of lawyers down to Florida to stuff the ballot boxes to attempt & steal the electoral Florida election. Not only that, but it was Gore, not Bush, who demanded 2 recounts which is Unconstitutional according to Florida State law. The funnier ones were the ones that thought he stole the 2004 elections. Bush was the clear winner and Kerry even confirmed that.

The fact of the matter is they had several re-counts and (D) Chicago Mayor Daly sent a bunch of goon attorneys to stuff ballot boxes to swing the election to Gore. It was a failed attempt because the Supreme Justice of the Florida court stopped the re-counts because he told them he was not going to lose his job for their corruption..
