This happened to my uncle here in NM too. He had a stroke and our stupid neighbor cops put him in hand cuffs and threw him in jail. He was having a seizure and died shortly after being arrested. The report from the cops and the district court house stated that he was resisting and unable to comply with law enforcement. RIP uncle terrance.

Not blaming all cops, I'm asking simple questions like did they smell Alcohol on him? A drunk reaks of alcohol you know, and did they give him a breath test or blood test to check his blood alcohol level? I'm guessing they didn't do any of these things. That comes down to incompetence, if they did everything they were suppose to do they he would've been in the hospital sooner than seven hours later. He can't even speak right anymore because they screwed up. If you were him how would you feel?

SaiyanVes, I agree with you. Cops should be trained to no the difference between signs of drunkenness and signs of stroke. Since, obviously, they will encounter a lot of these in the streets.

This happened to my uncle here in NM too. He had a stroke and our stupid neighbor cops put him in hand cuffs and threw him in jail. He was having a seizure and died shortly after being arrested. The report from the cops and the district court house stated that he was resisting and unable to comply with law enforcement. RIP uncle terrance.

I have to admit, im one of the first people to roll my eyes when someone says they were arrested 4 the color of their skin. But you CANT get around this! He was in his ACU's. I was an ARMY brat, then an ARMY wife for 10yrs. he had to be at least an E6 to be a recruiter, NOWAY was he DRINKING in uniform! No way around it he was a vic. of racism. Its disgusting!
