I had an aibo ERS-210A a few years ago and It was ok, but I want something much MUCH better.... Ok.. yes I should study and build my own.. but I don't think I ever could do better... SONY.. stop with the PS3 crap and start making better robots.. anyway... just my thought for ya all.
Great video and great music choice. I was under the impression that import restrictions limited the ability to purchase one outside of Japan. What was your cost and how easy was it to receive one?
Were you controlling it in the video, or was it moving on it's own?
I was able to find an AT01 for purchase in the U.S., do you think the differences are that dramatic between the two models?
Manoi is a kit robot whereas Aibo is a pre-assembled consumer product. Manoi can be rebuilt or customised to suit your needs whereas Aibo is not designed to be opened or tampered with. Both robots are excellent products in their own right but cannot be directly compared as you have done. The goals of Sony & Kyosho were entirely different as were their target markets so it is not fair to say Sony did a better job. The two companies were not competing over the same product type.

aibo is a better commercial grade robot. i have 2!! sony did a better job
