I think there possibly will be an alternate ending. In the trailer at the end you see all the monster/zombie things have surrounded him in his lab and are screaming in his ear but not killing him. However, i noticed that scene never comes up in the movie, just thought i'd point it out.

I was impressed with the lack of plot holes. Little bits like the newspaper cutting in the house he searches, which says that infected dogs can come out at dusk, rather than full dark. This covers the lead zombie releasing the 3 dogs but not coming out himself.

It's hard to get a longer movie that has the same momentum as this one gave. If it was any longer, it wouldn't have the same contained effect.
