  • amazing song, nice video!

  • Such a beautiful country

  • what is the name of that song? artist?

  • So some shitty "nostalgic" photo set should illustrate the everyday life in USSR for the forieghners. Sad.

  • Thank you. Really good photos..

  • 70% of ex soviets regret the dissolution of the soviet union. Oddly enough, only 30% want it back

  • it was a very simple life, I liked it very much there, Russians did a great job, living it. It was peaceful for ordinary people, only it became a little stagnant which any form of good life becomes, when it is so good, you are bound to get lazy, that is why it has to change otherwise, it was wonderful for people who lived with its rythms.

  • Well... you se, the photo show is wery spacific, ant it defenitely neither had the purporse to show wealth and prosperty of the SU, neither had the term to introduce foreighners into soviet everyday life. You most possibly do no understand 95% of the photos. Why the autor has named the video that way - i have no idea.

The same way you couldjudge about life/culture in US by watching a movie about a video saloon in a Negro ghetto in the 70th, or something like that.

  • @acb1511 spesific, of course.

  • MASSIVE GHETTO

  • Thanks for this video it's a great reminding of the USSR at it's best period!

  • Hello! This video´s music is really fantastic.who is the compositor? I will be gratefull if you can aswer, please! VIVA LENIN

  • "What's your favorite color comrade" RED!

  • pepsi?

  • @vserossiiskiiprotest I love how your comment is cencored (flagged as spam) by the capitalists <3. You are telling the truth that's why they are afraid to listen/read.

  • @AnarchoCommunist1 thank you, comrade.

  • you have the best combination of music for all of your videos. Please, tell me, who performs the music in your videos???

  • we need vedism, nazism and racism and militarism, not jewsih - communism and not jewsih- capitalism!

  • @DerSturmerSS @DerSturmerSS Nazism is jewish - Hitler was a Jew and thanks to him the zionists now have their own sovereign state. Nazism is EVIL!

  • Which interesting people you caould meet on youtube, hehe

  • This music generates so much despair...

  • is pepsi a product of communism because its all over communist videos if so im going to start buying pepsi

  • I have just asked another foerighn user - this viedo is NOT for feighners and NOT about communism or advantages of the soviet society.

I do not know, who and why has called the viedo that way.

  • @acb1511 "have just answered to....", of course.

  • Ahhh...Those Were The DAYS!

  • soveit paradise, but for the rest of the world, a political prison

  • Definitely not))

And DEFINITELY not in the 70th or so.

In reallity it wasnt, that much different to the United States, but without personal property on production means, but instead with masarmatic old grandpas on official positions.

OK, exactly by the 70th/80th, there vere huge differences, for example in entertaining industry, wich has degenerated by that times (i am mainly talking about cinema), but tis is more or less a factor, that no Soviet sympatisants do like.

  • @acb1511 what...the fuck.....

  • @BrendanIsCool Did I right smoethng not understandable?

  • @acb1511 yes sir, you did. I presume english is not your native tongue?

  • @BrendanIsCool You pressume right. So, what exactly didn't you understand?

  • @acb1511 don't worry about it comrade

  • The problem is the communists murdered more people than anyone in history. All together its estimated around 200 million people died under communism... thats including Russia...China...Paul Pot..ect...ect...ect...

  • Lol look how happy the blind sheep (people) look........Not!!!! Capitalism goes side by side with human nature, we're meant to be competitive and greedy to some extent and make a profit, that's just basic human nature, communism ignores this and does the opposite that's why it always fails!

  • @deltaenforcer93 Did feudalism go "side by side with human nature" or how about slavery? Why don't we still live under feudalism or slavery?

  • @deltaenforcer93 Utter tosh. There is no such thing as human nature only human natures.

  • @ComandorRussian

Vilnius - is consonant with the Anus.

    Vilnius - Anus.

  • 2:38 Palm trees in Russia???

  • @cbohar84

The Black Sea Coast in the Russian Sochi area has a very mild almost Mediterranean climate. I would guess the picture was taken there.

  • @cbohar84 Sure. Black Sea Coast (Sochi in Russia, then Abkhazia and Georgia).

  • @cbohar84 black sea resorts

  • good old days..... plz come back!

  • well interesting photos, thanks for sharing =) but people do really forget the brutality of that society ! I'm glad that is over =)

  • @JohanOlsson it wasnt brutal. Usa wasnt even better, if you want to say that.

  • @tamtammr hehe man come on, you know that is true =) we can't deny that =( Well but you know USA has always been better that Soviet/Russia in all ways =) I mean Soviet didn't cared for its people, instead of giving people washing machines, they took their money and laid it on weapons and arms =( I know that there is still people who loved that, but no body knew what was going on behind the scenes, it was almost only Moscow citizens who were aware of that =( Take care =)

  • @JohanOlsson so you know so good that the people in the soviet union lived bad? You live in america

  • @tamtammr well hehe no its because a part of me is from Soviet =(

  • @tamtammr =)

  • @JohanOlsson

Brutality? Under Stalin perhaps, but that were difficult times. And the west had its own share of brutality... ghettos, homeless people... USSR was much more equal in wealth distribution.

  • yes it was good county and it was my homeland.

in fact after 20 years of end that, there was reaseach in estonia where 56% people sayd that life standards are lower or the same as those days... soo, after 20 years of progress, joinig EU and so on.. most people still sayd that USSR was better, impressive, isn't? =)

  • @maitsepolitsei You forget most important thing- freedom. Now we have our opinion and opportunities to live, talk and do what we really want.

  • @100Petrelis well try to do that in Russia-you fucked!

  • @100Petrelis Communism is the REAL freedom. "Freedom" in capitalism is the right to exploit and be exploited. I 'd rather define my own freedom than this crap. Fuck you and your "freedom"!

  • @AnarchoCommunist1 exactly

  • "I don't ever remember armed guards shooting people on site for trying to escape to the "free" communist countries!! "

South Korea, before the collaps of SU and political sanctions.

And why TF they thried tocross a guarded border? It was possible to emigrate into West Germany legally, it was difficult, but it was possible.

  • @acb1511 Are you okay? O_o

  • What ere you talking about at all?

  • @acb1511 about how you made a dozen ranting comments, you seem somewhat disturbed.

  • @michaelwuzthere I am not_used to that i can't correct what i have already written.

  • @AnarchoCommunist1

Yep, "Freedom" is a subjective term.

  • @maitsepolitsei

not really surprising, it's clear the EU has nothing to offer.

  • URSS was a good place to live, America us a good place to be, the world is the BEST place to be, and the communism and capitalism are only Shit, The earth need a hearth, no a Politician

  • lol ridiculous communist propaganda, lets not put only the good things ok if we do that every government would look great, anyway,i didn't see anything special in the photos, not impressive at all.

  • The good humans think first about their brother/sisters by country or planet and then about themselves. The good humans want not only to take, but to leave something for those people whom they even didn't see, but who came after them. Good people remove log barring the road, and not jump over it, as it would do bad ones hurrying to get money. They help to the weak and ignorant, knowing they'll became weak themselves, and that it's awful to be ignorant. This were the base ideas of USSR teaching.

  • The innocence is probably the most queer trait for all who is not acquainted with Soviet character. It's not only a slavonic trait, it's trait of all good people on the Earth. It's just happened the Slavs was the most numerous people which settled in the country that placed the highest the good social behavior and moral purity. Working for the bettering of their "inner self" and attaining "high ideas" laid an imprint on the Soviet people which abandoned the lewdness and greed of capitalism.

  • Soviet Union was a state where anyone could find his/her place in state life if he only wanted it and had necessary abilities. The education and healthcare were free and on very high level. A lot of catching diseases of tzar Russia were defeated in the first years of Soviet Republic. The level of education was amazing. The main flaws of this system were the immense innocence of ordinary Soviet citizens and their great belief in their leaders. These traits brought the system to its end.

  • after collapsing of ottoman empire, the world of muslims collapsed too. about which balance you talk about for usa and soviet. they only balanced theirselves! the exploited one, the pressed one was always the muslim world. and the soviet (now russia: the all central asian muslim countries, caucasia, tataristan), where are their sources gone! soviet even didn't give a chair to them in moscow! what was soviet searching so long years in afghanistan? awaiting for the real balance, balance ottoman

  • @zilitto Ottoman empire collapsed because they didn't care about the people which made it a once great empire and because of it they collapsed under their own crimes against the peoples. I am Circassian-Yugoslav, a citizen of Turkish Republic and mark my words you horse-thief, I will do anything to fuck anyone who defends the old empire. Fuck you and fuck nationalists.

  • @TheBlindPowerslave I`m in a post soviet country at the moment and I know, how is the influence of russian culture for this poor cultures. They even can`t speak their own language. they know anything about own culture!! and they also did it in the name of ``friendship of nations``!! And even 70 years enough for that. ottoman was not nationalist. ottoman continued 624 years. which nation loosed own language? which people even loose own religion or culture?? who is barbar, you tell it please.

  • @zilitto I am not defending the Soviet Union. If it was perfect then it wouldn't have dissolved. But I do know that instead of living in a capitalist country I would have prefered the Union if it was still around. And again, I don't like nationalist ideals. Your bitching about Soviet influence included.

  • @TheBlindPowerslave if USSR was a paradise, it was only for russian, slavians or european soviet countries. but others only exploited. let's be agree, soviet was imperialist too. let's be agree, in soviet nobody could tell anything opposite state or they took you and your family from your home in the night, neighbour had fear of his own neighbor because of kgb! is it paradise? the mescets, the kirim tatars and many nations were deported from their own territories! many people died on the way.

  • @zilitto So what? The Ottomans that you defend deported Armenians women and children into Syrian desert because they collaborated with Allies. Soviet did the same for those who collaborated with Nazis. They got what they deserved. So the old tales of KGB and draggings in the middle of night. Do you really think this does not happen in any other country? Don't be naïve.

  • @TheBlindPowerslave you said and answered, because they collaborated with enemies of ottomans and killed people via tashnak. it state in modern times that ended in 1990s. what was sin of mescetturks, which lived on as minor people on mountains of caucasses. which links with nazis?what was sin of crimean tatars, whose beatiful territory they gived to slavians. where soviet did their all biological or nuclear experiments? on steps of poor asian muslim people!! they dried Aral lake, did it a hell.

  • I'm glad this nightmare is finally over in Europe.

  • My mom and dad think that life in the USSR was 100 times easier and better.

  • Comunims = prosperity and labor,,,, Capitalims = taxes and unemployed

  • @carlmarx2012 Actually communism and socialism equals taxing. In real free market capitalism state doesn't have to collect taxes because it doesn' need to spend money.

  • @f16tuga if you hate cccp so much, why do you looking every video about it , haha you are such an loser

  • no beggars or drug addicts

  • paradise... he he he yeah right...

  • @vonkaunaz. The U.S.A is bankrupt due to the nefarious foreign and domestic agents that manipulate the paper and rates because their intent IS to destroy the U.S. They've sucked the life out of America which is why they've switched horses and see the advantage of the Asia as their new slaves. This is why America is imploding economically. This is attributing to the birth of new groups waking up to the fact we've been bamboozled. Doesn't matter which party has control. They're inept.

  • Beautiful! What is the name of the music in the video?

  • Thank you so very much for showing me a piece of the world that has always mystified me. I am trying very hard to learn Russian so I may visit one day.

  • the soviet system stunk!!!!!! I know because we have the soviet system, it's called the European Union and its run by lying gangsters and crooks

  • What music did you use?

  • 0:24 is definetly not USSR, selling pepsi and other western products in the public was against the law, USSR had everything made in USSR, and we were proud and happy for it!

  • @STALKER1918 this is USSR!!!! we had pepsi in USSR!! i remember my grandfather bought me pepsi. but it was in 1987, not 1979((

  • @STALKER1918 PepsiCo in 1972 made agreement with USSR so yes, PEPSI in the USSR. It's a coincidence but i am communist and love Pepsi. Coincidence? ;)

  • @STALKER1918

Pepsi WAS sold in the USSR since the 70's. All Pepsi products were made in the USSR though.

  • No problem at all! Your Russian is pretty good!

    Have you been in St-Petersburg?

  • a correction to your comments at the end: "После моего путешествия по СССР в 1979, я стал и останусь советским в моём сердце навсегда!"

    (sorry for the correction)

  • @SuperUspeh : Thank you! I'm sorry, I speak very little Russian and my English is bad. Thanks. Greetings from Luxembourg. (Your country is beautiful and your people too). please accept my best regards :-)

  • @radiateur93 Thank you too, I'm russian living in Belgium. I wasn't never so happy, as in USSR. I don't see the better society for the future of my children.

  • I feel life in USSR was very simple and relaxed. The government lays a path for you to live your life and your job is to just live it out. Free education and medical care, no unemployement. In other words, people had an element of certainity in their lives...each person knew how much he would earn tomorrow, 5 years or 10 years from now. It definitely is not a life of extravagence, but your basic needs are met. In short, communism is about certainity and security, capitalism is about opportunity

  • @TheChromelover a boring life then. You forgot to mention the opression(on toughts and so on knowledge,on behaviors),the hundred million death under it's brutal rule in soviet union and china mostly, the small amond of money(sometimes misery) each family had since the 70's,the brutal pression on other peoples such as the ukranians or baltics, soviets had no matter to say on anything the soviet corrupted elite controlled it all,you only mention the good side, that's not good for analisys.

  • @TheChromelover Correct, it's all about what you prefer tbh, I have come to realize the vast majority of socio-economic ideologues are equal in validity. Though I feel the freedom and individualism and liberty capitalism brings can fuse the benefits of wealth with a sort of job security due to constant competition. We sadly have neither today though, monopoly's rule.

  • @XpEAnUTBuTtERsUckSX

My views are similar to yours. Both the economic models can be equally successful but they have to be implemented correctly (and that is the toughest part).

  • @TheChromelover As long as individuals who place their gargantuate greed before humanity, willing to use the power of government to bend the rules we will never have a system that works.

  • I don't think the USSR will return as long as United Russia remains in power - United Russia likely to win next year's election - that party is still against return of the USSR or return of communists to power.

If Putlin elected President he wants Constitution to be changed to have president term changed from four to seven years two term just like the French have. No problem if he have more United Russia backers in Dumas.

  • I Proud That I Was Born In Great USSR (CCCP) My Motherland Great Ussr (CCCP)!

  • Did you have difficulty entering the USSR with a European car?

  • I say give them some slack. It's bad luck to rejoice in your "enemy's" undoing, they have enough misery without anyone piling on, no?

I learned this in Sunday school. I think the One above will take care of us all, anyway.

They told me He smiles when we show compassion.

  • If these are pictures from 1979, why are they all over the internet saying there from the 80s?

  • it really looked like a nice place :)

  • commy haters are greedy pieces of fuck.

  • camarada, de donde sacaste las imagenes??

  • Death To Capitalism!

  • sadly, you can't express the true beauty of soviet life in photo, as it was not on the surface. no, it wasn't a paradise, but it was unique and very lighthearted society you won't find anymore. progressive in so many issues, comfortable in so many aspects and successful in so many projects, most societies today could learn something from them, too bad the internet came too late

  • Free high education, free medicine supply, free housing habitation, free trainings and requalifications, the absence of unemployment as such, the absence of loans, interest rates, mortgages and bankrupts, the absence of economic crises-THAT WAS THE USSR.

  • @Gorkovka79 you don't know anything, the quality of higher education depended on the subject, so studying science and physics led to higher incomes than becoming a doctor, housing wasn't free and there were widespread housing shortages, the medicine would be often of poor quality and you had to wait weeks often months for an appointment and the drugs for the common people weren't that effective so know before you start rambling about what you thought the USSR was

  • @209tangierguy I lived in USSR and i do not know anything? Becoming a scientist was more lucrative than becoming a doctor? Maybe. So what? Today becoming a banker is more perspective than becoming a physic. Housing was not free? LIE. It was FREE. I still live in apartment my mother was given during first 1.5 year of job in factory ad millions of families of USSR. Medicine supply provided for stable growth of robust population. Nothing is ideal but Olimpic Games were often won by soviets-FACT.

  • @Gorkovka79 a free house in a country where people could be arrested for getting together to talk about politics ? A free house in a country where people are/were not really free is a jail. However i gave u a thumbs up just because i respect your passion for your country.

  • @MissTeenPregnancy I hear words about freedom from country where people can be jailed for 3-5 live sentences for comitting financial crimes? Where 14-16 year old serve sentence as long as adults do? Where people are under pressure of Anti-racial, gender, religious and social prejudice laws which in fact are tools of public repressions. Yes they HAD NO freedom for morgages, unemployment, crisis, bank slavery, bankruption and 2-parties "democracy" (ha ha! as to no difference they had one only)

  • @MissTeenPregnancy There are people protesting, screeming some even burning themselves in front of whitehouse but noone cares and listens to them.Sure they are free to say what they are hurting about but noone cares abouy thier say.Yes in USSR they will pay attention what you had to say &complain. People's public complain should be a concern of a goverment that's why we have a goverment isn't it?

  • @Gorkovka79 oh they own the olympic games,it must be good,i want to live there!

  • @209tangierguy Your words of months for appointments is LIE. Maybe it could be a private case but it was not a trend simply because the number of clinics/hospitals/medicine centres and qualified doctors was greater than in many other countries. i do not even mention the prices for electroenergy, communal services and fuel. The rest of the world could not compete with USSR on this points. And the most important-The only tax was 13% of salary-THAT WAS ALL. Compare with dozen of taxes of WEST!

  • Were these truly photographs you took while in the USSR?

  • @TranshumanCyborg And this is really true! Russia post-socialist - is a sick country!

  • @TranshumanCyborg true that.

  • @TranshumanCyborg Maybe they drink 3 times as much vodka because they can buy 3 times as much vodka.

  • the cat seems happy

  • w urss

  • North Korea is still a communist paradise. That place is pure freedom. I wonder why nobody is trying to move there.

  • @sanfranciscodude It's because North Korea is one big prison. There's mass starvation, torture labor camps, Kim Jong il is one sick motherfucker, nobody is allowed to leave. It's not pure freedom. I don't have the right to make as much money that I want. People have food rations. That's terrible.

  • that times are over

    welcome to worldwide icecold capitalism

  • 4:09-4:12!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I lived in the house on the left side over the bridge!!! Dnepropetrovsk, end of the 80th.

  • I so much enjoyed long bread queues...We used to sing in the snow to keep us warm...it was such a wonderful time...

  • Socialism is a system for the weak! The weakest of the society dictates the speed of development. Thats why the socialist countries werent competitive on the world market. In the western european societies the strong people push the country ahead, as also as they support the weak with welfare aid.

  • Why people was looking so closely the Renault 4 car?

  • @sputnikburan : My car (Renault4) was an element of curiosity in the USSR!

I think I was the first on the roads of the USSR with a Renault . ;-)

  • @radiateur93 he he :) I'm looking to your videos and i think are very interesting.. It's very difficult to find a true immage about old Soviet Union, i visited modern Russia in 2003 but unfortunately the fashion of old time is now totally lost.

  • @radiateur93 - How appropriate that your Renault was red! :)) Awesome pictures and experience. Would have loved to do that during that era myself!

  • @sputnikburan

Lets change places. Imagine you are a hungry, victim of the capitalism in a Socialist world, where you will have food and clothes (and more, of course), a true human life.
