Kourabiedes Recipe

1/2 cup powdered sugar, 2 pounds plus 1 stick salted and clarified butter, 2 tbsp. grated orange zest, 3 egg yolks, 1 oz. whisky, 1 tsp. soda, 1/4 tsp. clove,

6-8 cups sifted flour, 2 cups slivered almonds

1 pound powdered sugar for dusting of cookies
