  • Great video keep up the good work.

  • just try and wank with it ur cock with be ript off

    lol

  • And my dad thinks it's wierd that i would get my hand removed for something like this........forget him i think it's cool and i also think it's great for those who don't have the limb to have this.

  • I need one of those so i can fap fap fap with my mind like Lord Vader and my name shall be Master Vader!!

  • It would be awesome to have like a super strong robotic arm

  • before long, he'll be able to finally rub one out

  • nice bureau accessoire

  • @katchison

Come on.. if we always take life that serious we'll get crazy at the end. Anybody can express his opinion, and a good joke is what most people need these days.

  • i since a reboe man

  • Automail! Fullmetal Alchemist

  • Ééééhhh do Brasilsilsilsilsil... !!!

  • um so 3 million doller and u still need more work yet u need more time so i most say why not work for free than make more ideal moters in your spare time than work it out in your mind

  • yes starcrafy is not a dream

  • SHIT! I still have the old model of the robotic arm.. I lost my arm in a train accident.......

  • this is wat ive been waiting for to see in full production for everyone

  • Holy, shit! That's amazing!

  • Their secretly skynet! KILL THEM ALL!

  • This is hardly a scientific breakthrough. There are dozens of people with robotic limbs out there. Hell, this guy doesn't even control it with his mind, but with the nerves in his arm.

  • @ChudFapper What do you think the nerves in his arm are attached to? Robotic limbs are fairly rare.

  • TERMINATOR!!!

  • We should find a way to make the hand "Feel" And send those signals to the brain so it would feel like a real hand. With out the cost of spending 50,000+ on a robotic hand that really costed around 2000 to make.

  • @reviathon360 And billions to research, you aren't paying for the materials when you buy something extremely expensive, you are paying for the development and time that went in it. Feeling wouldn't be too hard, it's not much different from controlling the motors in the hand.

  • @CrazyMonkey124 "Feeling wouldn't be too hard, it's not much different from controlling the motors in the hand."

unless you know something I don't, YES it would. to move fingers only takes an (relatively) *extremely* basic translation of the nerve signals. to send signals to the brain that it can interpret properly... that is completely different, and as far as I know, astronomically more difficult.

  • @Sahuagin There isn't so much translation involved as there is transportation to the correct neurons. The translation that is involved can be found easily by testing someone in any case. Although in any case, you are correct, it would still be difficult, but not so much more difficult than what they already have done.

  • I used the word "translate" very loosely. Whatever information comes down the nerves, we only need an extremely basic understanding of it to react, in fact we don't even need an understanding of it, since even if we are assbackwards, the person can just learn which signal to send when

In contrast feeling involves composing a signal to send to the brain, which takes a very thorough understanding of the nature of neural signals (from an information point of view) just to produce a *bad* signal

  • @Sahuagin The "bad" signal wouldn't be the hard part, as I was thinking about it, the hardest part would be the location of the pain and telling the brain correctly.

  • @CrazyMonkey124 "telling the brain correctly."

    exactly, that's what I mean.

  • Very nice

  • Wow thats incredible. I wish they'd make stuff like this more public.

  • =O...

  • FullMetal Alchemist.

    IRL, lol.

  • inspecter gadget

  • History making scientific achievements and all you dipshits want to talk about is terminator.

  • Well it's youtube. People have different opinions :D

  • @katchison actually it is fair enough to speak of the military applications of technologies, ie "terminator" automated IFF turrets.

  • @katchison

    frustrating aint it.

like hollywood wasnt primed to create a rather enjoying fantasy film with a 'dark message' about technology. they followed this up with a kiddy friendly effort irobot. ridiculous.

robots will be like cars and guns. as dangerous as the people in control of them.

  • @rev0107 so true

  • @katchison Teminator? Nah bro its all about star wars

  • were not worried whether robots think, but whether men do

  • i dont think robots will be artificialy intelengant for another 200 years, but the surrogates thing might actually happen lol

  • Maybe the Terminator movie is actually real? Meaning: if we did create a super solider robot, what face do you think we would use for it? Arnold Schwarzenegger of course!!!! OMG!?!

  • surrogates

  • just what i was thinking...i think all the sci-fi movies are showing to be a little less "fi"

  • Human only learn when it's too Late...

  • Amazing, just goes to show how complicated the human mind and body is. Good luck with the work, I wish them all the best!

  • Ya'll seen the movie IRobot with Will Smith?

    Get ready...

  • I heard about this on the history channel.

  • In what planet have you been in the last couple of years?

  • They do NOT have the technology for "think" robotic reaction. And if you think they do.. you're a stooge.

  • SKYNET

  • One word - "Automail"

  • ...Cyberdyne!?

  • Damn, that is freaking win!

  • I believe that this is a true breakthrough in medical science, not just the ignorant fantasy of becoming a half-robot half-man. This could help amputees to recover some semblance of normality. I for one would sorely miss my hand if it were severed from my arm. With this it would help those people who once had limbs regain a functioning appendage. Medical Bionics is no longer science fiction, soon it will be science fact.

  • lol sheeple is happy for some creepy robo limb while powerholders can get a new grown limb from their own dna

  • Ghost in the shell slowly coming true.......

  • isnt this the plot from terminator? the hand? Seriously though, how long is it going to be before body modification fanatics begin to replace body parts? we've seen the lengths people have gone to already in their desperate cravings for attention. Its gonna happen

  • .......some day.........

  • This is nothing. Meanwhile we elite are using body farms to upgrade our bodies with real flesh. This technology is just to appease the peasants. We are so far beyond this technology, this was cutting edge maybe 20 years ago.. As soon as we can digitize the brain we will have eternal life, switching out our brains into a new body whenever we please. A small genetically superior underclass will be kept to supply us with fresh bio-suits. We will kill the rest of you. Now take your vaccine.

  • ufo you are?

  • dude the closes thing they have come to in emulating a brain was a cat brain and not even in real time. It took a friggin super computer to do it!

Emulating the human brain to keep people alive probably will have in 50 to 100 years dude

  • Comment removed

  • @marvincontendo one thing you have to consider is whatever it is that makes us individuals... our "souls", per-say. If you replicate the body, but capture and transmit the energy of consciousness, you wouldn't run into that problem.

  • @SomeSillySWFs I'm not sure what you mean but if you're suggesting that the "soul" has any place in neuroscience then you need to think about that a bit more. The only thing keeping the concept of the soul alive is our lack of knowledge about the quantitative elements of human consciousness. And don't take this as a personal or ideological challenge - I'm only speaking insofar as science is concerned.

  • ironman here i come!!

  • The evolution of bio-electronics will change the life of those who lost a hand or a foot allowing them to have a better lifestyle.

On those arguing for sci-fi stuff like robocop, universal soldier or terminator these instruments are going to be too fragile to expect such applications.

  • some day it will! when viruses evolve too much for us to keep up with them, we will have no choice but replace all body parts, except the brain.

  • u know a hand like that is easy if you wanne jerk off :D

u just have to think about it and he does all the work... guess in about 10 years from now woman have no use for this planet anymore ^^

  • 10 years from now we have robotic dicks that teasers our orgasm part in the brain, all you do is push the button and voila

  • RFOL!

  • until you pinch yourself in one of the joints lol

  • Later we find out this has nothing to do with the hand and the guy is a telekinetic mutant.

  • Charles!?!?

  • Could be good and bad. Good because it would restore use of lost limbs... bad because it looks like something the military industrial complex could use to make "super soldiers".... RoboCops if you will.

  • and why is that bad?

  • Robotic cops and soldiers = less power for people to defend themselves if they act unjustly.

The military is not there to "defend America". It is only there to defend our DEBT from those holding it, if they ever decide to default (China, etc)

  • Yes!!

  • lol like terminator, cyberdyne sytems does exist, it makes robotic aides ha

  • pretty soon they will be entirely robot and think for themselves. lol it funny how they shows us stuff we dont even realize is going to be real one day like 'I-robot'

and hardy har thats one fucking example before you start giving me retarded replys

  • If you believe that, I got some swap land to sell you.

  • They want to make super-human to replace us!!!

  • This is real just to let you know...

  • they alredy had tht ...

  • is all the associated press news coverage fake?

  • omg now what help perelize people move this insane ! but moving hand means nothing

  • apparently it isn't

  • how do you know this comment is real? are you going to not believe it because you havent experienced it? I believe China exists but i havent experienced it, i dont really have any proof that it exists.

  • Logic fail. So fail.

  • its real u fucking moron.. go back to your cave already lol

  • it is not fake
