unless you know something I don't, YES it would. to move fingers only takes an (relatively) *extremely* basic translation of the nerve signals. to send signals to the brain that it can interpret properly... that is completely different, and as far as I know, astronomically more difficult.

Although in any case, you are correct, it would still be difficult, but not so much more difficult than what they already have done.
