i got this game last year in 2010, i almost got to the end, then my power went out, i was pissed

Finished the DS version just after New Year & srsly, the Mummy Run game was FAR more difficult than Horroland Derby; the fact you need to jump over a pit & that there's fall holes on the board made it harder, an insta-lose Mummy chasing you & then an Indiana Jones-like boulder scene at the home-stretch made it a nightmare!

It WAS short & got a tad annoying at times, but it required patience & a resiliance to hand-cramps in the end; still, at least I can say I finished it, that's what matters

You should take Wikipedia's word for it. This is the best book series I ever read as a kid, besides I've read many of them, but it would have been better to make a series of games based on the great books like Living Dummy and Haunted Mask.

With the tokens, they probably have them so you can't keep playing the same minigame over and over again.

like the last one, 'pharoah's fairways' i think - that took me like 20 time to get gold - meaning i kept having to leave to get tokens.

'the derby game' never had a problem with. However, 'Mummies run' the other version to teh derby was the most anoying minigame ever - that and serpants pass (i think its called that) the one where you had to navigate the loop through the wire.

This is a little off topic, I loved the Goosebumps books, but no longer read them. One thing that used to piss me off (and still those now) is the grown up in the books. They were completely useless. It was worse for the books with kids who were underdogs in thier school. It used to be satisfing when something bad are forshadowing something bad would happen to the unbeliving parents or annoying bullies in the book. It made me want to see thier face when the protagenist is proven right. Nastalgia

While graphics are without a doubt secondary to gameplay to claim that graphics are completely unnecessary to a good game is sheer foolishness. Graphics ARE important for the immersion factor of a game, and while this may not sound like much, would people honesty of liked games like Shadow of the Colossus or ICO as much as they did were it not for the breathtaking presentation?
