  • what if some one parks where your car was... you cant read where it is

  • 1000 pounds holy shit that's like 0.1million + yen, discluding the fact that money is much bigger back then

  • @jungleefender 0.01

  • Holy mullet on Jeremey Batman

  • I think Jeremys jeans are too tight and his pubes are being pushed up and are now coming out of his head.

  • Nice V-Spec R32. 0:57

  • @dacarfreak2000 0:14 R32 GTS-T

  • @adztermancoool I know that it is the rear wheel drive version of the GTR.

  • @dacarfreak2000 no, it isn't. It's rear wheel drive yes, but the engine is an rb20det not an rb26dett in a GTR. The front grill/hood/headlights are different too.

  • Road work at night... Something Canada needs to incorporate soon!

  • I like Tokyo's methods.

  • wtf aaa auto . . .sucks mother fuckers

  • 2:25 nice butts.

  • I love his hair

  • clever japanese

  • Repairs...

In America, a team of two set up the traffic cones on day one, to block traffic.

On day two the heavy machinery is moved in.

And afterwards a team or 3 or fewer men take their time for weeks.

Often these workers park their huge redneck pickups in the only lane available, creating a backup that extends for miles.

  • @dinnerandashow Indeed America is lazy and inefficient. Sucks to be us.

  • @dinnerandashow That is very very very true!!!!! In my town, it took them 2 months to finish some simple repair work.

  • Japan's infrastructure is a model for the world to adopt. Ultra efficient, fast trains and efficient transport management. Britain really could learn lessons from Japan.

  • this are videos from the 90's right?

  • pause at 0:15 R32 GTST!!! <3

  • Wow female Japanese traffic cops really do dress that way? I thought it was only in anime. I wwonder where Natsumi and Miyuki are?

  • I like Japan, there are so many things there that you can't find anywhere else in the world, it's kept so civilized and organized, even though it's overpopulated, I would gladly live there if I could and if I had at least any chance to learn Asian language (which is completely impossible for me). Pity that all those crazy things happen to Japan :( you do not deserve it.

  • @MrRromy same.

  • @MrRromy pity? what they did to china, pearl harbou, etc... ?? i wish one day you are in japan and crushed by a collapsing building..

  • @PHY104 Are you fucking retarded? the war ended decades ago, i would gladly fight for my country, the Americans would gladly fight for their country, but its not okay for japan to fight for their country? please dont bring in the war, stupid kids like you these days cry when someone points a gun in your face, unless you got the Balls to become a soldier (WHICH YOU DONT) the japanese never done anything to you, so STFU...

  • @shobin05 the nips beat him when he was playing call of duty.

  • @MrRromy yeah not to mention fuel price r ridiculously high in japan, japanese languange is simple really, its the letters like Hiragana & katakana thats frustrating..

  • SKYLINE R32 @ 0:15 ftw

  • "If you drive a car like that you deserve to have it towed away." ROFL xD

  • seeing an r32 vspecII in Japan is normal...the guy operating the lift was like "cmon let's get this over with..." but in the other parts of the world...if that car pass by its like WOAH! xD

  • 1:23 simon cowell's brother !!

  • Japan. Hyper-organized Brave New World. I would not want to live there for sure.

  • @shox007 hmm haaha..of course you americans are lazy and fat

you should learn from japan and germany

  • @TheYosh96 I don't see you going after Australia, whose obesity epidemic has surpassed ours, or maybe Germany: "Im globalen Vergleich liegt Deutschland nun mit den USA gleichauf. Die Fettleibigkeit ist zu einer weltweiten Epidemie geworden und hat einen kritischen Punkt erreicht". Why don't you admit that you have a childish hatred of the US, and a mindless obsession with Japan, ya fucking weeaboo? While you're at it, finish grade school before you start spewing your immature, undeveloped views.

  • @Supermassively the last thing i wanna do is to listen to some faq american opinion

    get out

  • @TheYosh96 LOL! This is hilarious. Indomitable facts and logic are the best weapon against stupid people like you. You're just getting defensive now because you couldn't counter what I said. I accept your admission of defeat.

  • @Supermassively What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things i have ever heard at no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought, everyone on youtube is now a dumber for having to read your comment

i award you no points and may god have a mercy on your soul.

  • @TheYosh96 All you've got is lines plagiarized from "Billy Madison"? I guess I shouldn't have expected much better. Like I said, these moronic, irrelevant comments are simply an admission of defeat. Pathetic.

  • @Supermassively Lol..dude you watch so much battle movies

    This is sparta=lol

  • @TheYosh96 Battle movies? Are you just mentally handicapped or something? You don't even seem able to form a coherent, relevant thought.

  • @TheYosh96 I can see why you deleted your response. Hard to beat facts and logic, huh?

  • Thanks

  • thank god for malaysian lazy ass police.

  • wow he looks weird so young

  • Very old video!

  • @mk1106mkmmmkkk mid 90s, I think he was in his 30s there

  • @axe456 Thanks

  • 2:24 the little innuendo looool

  • Hmm that GT-R R32 !

  • Clarkson: "if you drive a car like that you deserve to have it towed away"

he should be saying ... "If you have your hair like mine, you deserve to be laughed at"

    LOL

  • Tag, your it!

  • Thats awesome! I want to get my car towed in japan just for the experience!

  • Japs are the smartest...

  • what year is it? 90s?

  • What year was this filmed?

  • well i no how to win in formula 1 i just need tho's guys that toed the car in my pit crew

  • hahaha, a simple GT-R beats ENZO, F430, ZR1, GT3 RS, R8 and shit like this IN WET ROAD CONDITION HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAA

now i remember a slogan from a european cars maker ''thrue in engineering'' or should they say ''true in phailure engineering''

  • I like this jeremy clarkson guy, he hillarious lmfaoo..

  • @NoizyWun watch british top gear hes on that

  • lol those multi story car parks remind me of the thunderbirds

  • Well the Japanese don't screw around. I was in Toyko once and never left the Airport. A young Japanese Lady took me right to the gate were I needed to go, no fuss. And the guy at the gate said you are good and after that a whole bunch of places to eat while I waited to go to Guam. I should have stayed in Japan.

  • Why chalk it rains all the time in Japan

  • 4 stars video

  • the way he says "orange means your screwed" is soo funny

  • Old vid, but still more advanced than most countries in the world today.

  • 0:15 Skyline!

  • all road work in ontario is done at night, always has been....

  • omg Clarksons hair

  • Company get's 1000 pound fee? While I get 180? If I were a rival company I'd send my people to be hired by them and ruin their company :D

  • I never understood why roadworks are not done at night.

Understandably in populated areas it cannot be done at night but it should be done after work hours.

    Always annoyed me.

  • Thumbs up for Jeremy's hairstyle :)

  • Wow... someone from England is saying there seem to be cameras everywhere?!?

  • This is a tad old - they no longer has a friendly chalk written reminder on the pavement by a meter made. Instead either the car was clubbed by immobilizing device attached on the wheel, or a ticket issued by a pair of older men hired by outsourcing companies - you'll get a nastier surprise.

  • This is a tad old like 10-15 yrs ago. - Meter maids no longer write a friendly chalk written reminder on the pavement. Rather the parking tickets are issued by a pair of elderly men or retirees hired by outsourcing companies. Also the driver might instead getting his/her car clubbed with a device on one of the wheel that immobilize the vehicle.

  • I think Ferrari F1 mechanics are more efficient and diligent than the towing team on the video.

  • 2:15 "Mind you, if you drive a car like that, you deserve to have it towed away"

    lol, soooo Clarkson.

  • i wish i was rich enough to live in japan lol

  • So I assume it DOESN'T take 6 months to add a lane to a 3-mile stretch of road like it does in the US?

  • @imtheonlysane1here Yup, just look how many green peace idiots and save the enviroment groups are in U.S.

(Of course I'm assuming this, I live in Canada)

  • @imtheonlysane1here 6 months? My friend they have been working for 3 yrs on a 2 metre stretch of road near me in London, UK...yet i've never seen a workman on it actually doing anything. If only we had efficiency like this.

  • @imtheonlysane1here That was supposed to read 20 metre, not 2 metres, but no doubt they'd still be working on it were it 2.

  • Dayem R32

  • what year was this produced....plz, thanxz...1luv

  • @topgearballer In my expect about 1990? now middle size car is pretty rare in japan

  • @topgearballer

According to WP this was the first episode of JC's Motorworld, aired 5 January 1995

  • I never said that Italy is a bad country. Certainly, there are good things, but these few good things are disappearing. For example, did you know? 60% of the Italian parliamentarians have criminal records. By comparison, in the South Bronx, criminals account for 10% of local citizens. So Italy has in his government, a higher percentage of criminals than in the South Bronx. I think that it is the only country in the world that has this feature. It's so surreal that makes me laugh. Italy? No thanks

  • wow

  • umm....r32 v-spec......

  • Asians can´t drive : D

  • Didn't Al Jaffe of Mad Magazine come up with that carousel parking garage idea back in the 70s? At least, I think it was Al Jaffe.

  • Woo,30 seconds to tow a car,no biggie. In many large US cities, that's about average too, and so's the price. In San Francisco, the city contractor would tow a car whether it's parked illegally or not, they'd happily break in and steal things from it as well. Then they'd get a cop to write a ticket stating that it was towed from another location, making it seem that the car was stolen and robbed. Nice folks, those drivers..

  • why is jeremy so cool

  • Comment removed

  • Italian cars are rubbish. I owned one. That's a comment from a Japanese guy too.

  • @akirakimura2088 but they are full of passion..id rather drive a italian car that has soul and passion and will break apart in a month...then a japanese car that will last yearsss but have no raw passion

  • Italians make fabulous cars. That's a comment from a Japanese guy.

  • I just love that R32 GT-R in the parking lot!

  • Wow, Clarkson with hair ...!!

  • That traffic station is all wet now.

  • If you want the future then look at Japan.

  • @wasdwasdwwasd one word response: fukusima

  • i would love to visit japan..but,seriously..the chalk left message was kinda funny...i know how i would feel when i saw the message...WTF?

  • I've just noticed something. The Japanese are renowned for being extremely efficient and diligent in their work. The Germans are renowned for being extremely efficient and diligent in their work. Both were part of the Axis Powers. So what in the hell is up with the Italians?

  • @JETZcorp pizza and pasta ;D

  • @JETZcorp in short, too impulsive

  • Tokyo repo men must be like ninjas.

  • @JETZcorp the italians thought it would be fashionable to be facists.

  • @JETZcorp aahah greazy monkeys for use as cannon fodder vs the allies

  • @JETZcorp ...yet both lost the war.

  • @JETZcorp Italian politicians have ruined my country, this is the reason. I have left my country 5 years ago: I don't regret.

I'm Italian, but ironically I hate my country in this moment. Too much corruption, too much superficiality, too much defamation....

  • @viperconcept That's interesting. I'm on the same boat, but different country. Hell, I've stayed abroad for about as long as yourself (5-6 years. Can't remember), but I absolutely adore Italy. Goes to show, what happens behind closed doors, stays behind closed doors, and I have no idea of what it is.

  • @JETZcorp The Italians are renowned for being extremely efficient and diligent in their work. So much so, that they have figured out how to avoid actually working and still keep their jobs and get paid. Some call it progress, I call it WINNING.

  • @JETZcorp well they swapped sides halfway through the war, and they've always been pussies, except the romans

  • @JETZcorp italians are known for switching sides in wars

  • @JETZcorp

    Every family has the retard?

  • @JETZcorp Because Italians know how to enjoy life and relax. The other two are some of the most uptight people in the world. Why do you think when they are saying something nice their tone of voice sounds like they are angry with you.

  • @KoukiR Oh, you couldn't blame them for being angry with you, KoukiR, seeing that you are one ignorant asshole.

  • @BilligLPs STFU you stupid mother fuckin troll.

  • @KoukiR that's why their economy is crashing and need bailout from the "angry" german because they "enjoy" and "relax" too much lol

  • @unotelly arguing with a stranger online about European economy on a Jeremy Clarkeson video about cars in japan. You're really living the dream aren't you.

  • @KoukiR Germans?

  • @KoukiR

All I know is that in America, if one wants a "QUIET relaxing" dinning table, it is wise to be seated as far away from the table of Italian men.

  • @JETZcorp the japanese can be described as the Asian German, while Hong Kong is the Asian UK,China as the Asian Italy

  • @JETZcorp well the italians were a bit of a joke, just like now really

  • @JETZcorp u even made me an italian laugh

  • @JETZcorp the italians cooked the food

  • @JETZcorp that's why I thank god I was born with half german-half japanese blood. The axis of evil. =P

  • @JETZcorp i thought they got kicked out half way through? they probably weren't efficient or diligent enough.

  • @JETZcorp they started to be efficient and dilligent, then they changed their ming halfway through.

  • @JETZcorp Italians were never wanting to be in the Axis Power so.... That may explains their laziness when work?

  • @JETZcorp Italians switched sides many times during the war.

  • @JETZcorp

maybe its a case of opposites attract or something :D

  • @JETZcorp perfection is perfection

  • @JETZcorp expensive manure that cant beat a V6 with theyre V12 cars?

  • @JETZcorp BMW, Volkwagen, and Mercedes score well below the average reliability ranks and have been for years or even decades. Audi's are decent but still below the average. I knew a friend with a 2001 Audi and it was always in the shop for some electrical problem. I knew someone else who's dad owned a BMW and was always in the shop as well not sure what for. Japanese cars are very reliable though, I know from experience. I prefer American though, more powerful than either and decently reliable.

  • @tyIerz06 I also tend to prefer Ameirican cars, mainly for their styling and "attitude" which tend to be more exciting (particularly Dodges, which never seem to look boring). Not the most advanced cars in the world, certainly, and not the best-performing, but the amount of "I want this" per dollar is the best, I think. I also happen to have only a $5,000 budget for my next car, and it needs to be able to carry two dirtbikes without a trailer, it's basically Dodge Dakota or nothing. :-P

  • @tyIerz06 Don't compare a 2008 GT-R with a 1996 Corolla. The 1996 Corolla will last forever as the 1970's and 1980'sGolf GTi will. The GT-R is not a good example of japanese reliability.

  • @tyIerz06

I don't know about reliabilty of german cars in US but in europe is different, I drove VW Polo for 17 years, I have never went to full car servicing, I had two repairs one was a new boch pump second was new exaust system and engine belts whole that costed me 1000 €, car costed 10 000 DM, or about 10 000 € today. My new car is again new VW polo, i drove it 3 years and by now I only replace oil regulary.

  • @JETZcorp Well the Italians were (not surprisingly) the first to cave.

  • @JETZcorp Well, they've got Maserati, Ferrari and Lamborghini. Great food and history (depending on the period). They're not all that bad...

  • @JETZcorp they are figuring out how electricity works.....then maybe after they have sorted that out they can do something

  • @JETZcorp Mussolini didn't have a mustache! Hitler and Hirohito did!

  • Oh, italian were busy, you know, our nobel Enrico Fermi was discovering how to create nuclear reactions, even if americans used that discovery to kill thousands innocent lifes in Japan....

And WE CREATED laws, architecture, philosophy, math, literature we teached to anglosaxons a writing system, and discovering America, we gave them even an house, we make the world be as it is, and not, for example arab...

We like to be unique, and not a nation of dumbs-employee

  • @Anubi1989 : By your stupid comments you sound more like a Yank, not an italian. You did not discover America because it was full of people already, you testa di cazzo. You are a disgrace to Italy. Italiano bastardo...

  • @Anubi1989 I've read some of your comments, first of all you're pretty much one of the dumbest youtube trolls around. so much said let's get the facts straight.

The pope isn't in Italy, he's German and lives in the Vatican a sovereign state.

"laws, architecture, philosophy, math, literature" are a lot older than Italy or Rome.

Christianity by the way was prohibited in ancient Rome early Christians where even killed in the Colosseum. Nero burned down his own city just to blame the Christians.

  • @JETZcorp everytime you write, remember you're using a writing system invented by romans, remember that even your verb "use" derives from latin (usus), remember that 63% of artistic patrimony of ALL THE WHOLE WORLD is in Italy, remember that, in the rest of 37% of artistic patrimony, a good part is also italian (like the Monna Lisa at Louvre's museum for example), remember that even your religion, if you're christian, even if was born in Palestina, grow up in Italy, and infact the pope is here

  • @JETZcorp Remember (in your profile I read you're from USA) that your nation is made even from italian who works more than any others, and remember we are one of the 7 biggest nations of all the world, even if USA, to be in the first 7, must create a confederation of 50 states... just think it: 50 american states are a lil bit stronger that 1 (ONE) European state... infact, think it: now europe is becoming united, China is growing,, guess what?

  • what? Just prepare to your first economic collapse...

Now world's economy is made, everyday more, by europeans and chinese, we are the history the present, and the future, you were only a dream, now you're falling like 9/11's twin towers: America is collapsing, see your last ratings on stoks..

I'm sorry, in Italy maybe we don't work, but we created ALL WETERN WORLD... we don't work, but we are one the biggest nations in the world.... now try to think what we can do if we start working...

  • @Anubi1989 u do know that the entire world economy is in the shitter right now....

  • @Anubi1989 America's downfall is paid in part by Obama, wait until 2012 and it'll all be ok.

  • @Anubi1989 You are trying to imply that nuclear technology is Italian, seriously don't make me laugh, nuclear fission was discovered in Berlin by Otto Hahn and his colleagues.

Most of Philosophies was due to ancient Greek.Mathematics and astronomie evolved in the middle east, South America and other parts of the world. Long before Romulus killed Remus.

Side note you're sitting in front of a German invention by the way the Computer. (First Computer Conrad Zuses Z3) .

  • @Raffix394 Germans? You all were barbarians when Rome was the most evolved country of the world, you don't even know how to write, when we had Pythagoras.

Oh, well, after thousand years, you "evolved" in a country who colonized Africa and Asia, making millions of slaves, and killing people, and after, when your "evolution" finished, you all voted for Hitler, and killed million of Jewish... and you talk me about Camorra...

  • @Raffix394 i prefear to have a president who have fun with girls, instead of a president who have fun killing people.

You invented nuclear fixion? haha who is Otto Hahn? Was invented by "Enrico Fermi" (nobel prize, i don't think Otto has a Nobel). Infact there was a race between USA and Germany to create nuclear bomb during WW2... study a lil bit history.

Most of philosophy and math evolved alla round the world, everywere, yes, but Italy is undeniably the country who, most of any other

  • @Raffix394 ..created our western culture. "Computer" definition is too hard to know who invented it, even a simple abacus can be considered as a computer (computer word derives from "computator": an histrument you can use to count", potentially, everything can be a computer...)

I don't want to reply to everything you writed, i want only say: i didnt said you're dumb (and you can define this behavior "evolution" or simply "education), and I respect every nation, person, opinion. Even you, but

  • @Raffix394 i want only to underline that, if in italy there is more of 60% of artistic patrimony of all the world, there's a reason... if we are the 7th most powerful country of the world, with only 56mil inhabitants, and without never colonized a land (except 3 states in Africa for like 4 years) there is a reason....

But the most beautiful thing, the thing who makes me proud most of all to be italian, is the proverb "italiani brava gente" (italians kind people).

    Anyway, i don't want to

  • @Raffix394 discuss anymore, everyone is free to have his own ideas... i only think the more you know a nation's culture, the more you'll appreciate it.

Germans are surely great people, americans too, and in every nation there is good and bad people... i know much people with no culture, but extremely kind, and generous, and i think it's enough for a person.

The only thing i don't like, is hate an entire nation, because it's only a sign of mediocrity, and ignorance...

    Bye.

  • @JETZcorp And, to answer to you question: ITALIAN AREN'T GOOD KILLING PEOPLE.

Yeah, germans, japanese, americans, everyone can be better than us to make war... we aren't good at war simply because we never wanted a war, we don't like murders, if you think that to be good in war is a vaunt, i'm sure you didn't understand nothing about life...

  • @Anubi1989 I was only referring to the war as context. The three countries were allied with each other, and I noticed that both German and Japanese CARS have a similar reputation for clinical, perfectionist efficiency. But then, this seems to go at odds with Italian CARS which don't have any of that at all but which instead bellow about soul and passion during the fifteen minutes before they break down. I didn't mean to imply anything about war. I hate the way my country keeps killing people.

  • @Anubi1989 Speaking of Christianity it wasn't Judas who killed Jesus, it where the Romans.

In nearly every war Rome/Italy was involved in they where the aggressors.

Ancient Rome had some achievements but Italy today is pretty much the shame of Europe, Berlusconis "bunga bunga" partys, citys covered in dumb because of organised crime (e.g the Camorra), and on top of that high depts.

BTW the homicide rate in Italy is higher than in in Germany and Japan. Not even mentioning corruption.

  • 1:24 - I can't find where it says the fine amount.

  • 0:15 there is an r32 skyline gts-t

  • Not at the moment you wouldn't.

  • @ amusingyeti Looks like a nightmare driving there but I'd also love to visit Tokyo, and, indeed, all of Japan.

  • I would love to visit Tokyo.

  • @AmusingYeti Pay over $6 per mile to ride a taxi. You could pay that for a limousine probably where you're from.

  • What if i'm driving a tank? will they go xXx2 on me?

  • nice haircut

  • the road works is amazing

  • nice nissan gtr
