Even if you were to play it exactly the same note for note with the exact same sound, you're still not Hendrix and I wouldn't even think about listening to your version over Hendrix's. That being said, don't get caught up in getting the exact same sound, notes, and music. Just jam out original music over the same chords.

Man... this is just a backing track.. first of all you don't need the vocals, and you don't need to hear jimi's guitar for obvious reasons. So I don't see any problem in this track.. actually, I love it.. it's excellent for practicing you guitar skills. But please understand that it's not a bad imitation, nor a bad "sound editing" or whatever because it's just like it's supposed to sound..
