I enjoyed this. Nicely done. Good voice for the powerful notes so you didnt shy away from pouring yourself into it. As someone who can't sing, I envy that! :D Also you mentioned Hot Fuzz at the beginning and I couldn't believe that was 2 years ago... Scary.

A sign of a good cover version is that it makes you want to hear the original, so that's where I am headed now...

Yep, I'm a sort of modern day hippie/mod/classic rocker. Mainly an AORist. :P There's a slight glimpse of hope for the future. But as Jim Morrison once said in a rare track: "rock is dead". It's a shame really. Music is doomed. But let's forget about all that. :P

the janice joplin song reminds me of times as a young lad in the 70's listening to joplin, dylan and the doors with my hippie older sister. if you are a reflection of the younger generation then there is truly hope for the future!
