Now theres a program called Zd soft game recorder. Its like fraps combined with hypercam. Its like fraps because it can record in game sound and it can record games without you haveing to make a recording area, but it has the quality as fraps and you have the option to choose your own recording area. The good thing about it though is that it doesnt eats up alot of fps and it costs about 30.00 dollars.

@ZeroClassD Not exactly............TF2 uses a different engine than Counter strike. The TF2 one is more demanding so if u can run css low with little lag u might not be able to run TF2 that easily. Just wanted to let u know XD

I honestly don't know all your options, but if you have a crazy awesome video card it's hard to notice the lost frames, and still runs smoother than some cards, but video camera gives the most honest frames, however it is possible to use a capture card like the ones xbox 360 owners use to record. the ati 4870 x 2 even sucks in comparison to gtx 295 so this is sad. you get like 60 FPS and with the gtx 295 you can get 100 - 300 FPS

If your willing to pay like 100 to 200 dollars more for a slight performance increase that's you choice. Also ATi's new 5000 series cards blow Nvidia"s out of the water for a less price still.

All in all, your performance depends on the game's engine. Some engines depend on the CPU more, some depend on the graphics card more. That is why it is always good to have a balanced system (Like not having a 4870 paired with say a E5200).

Yeah, Laptops aren't the best source for playing PC games. But, you can connect another keyboard and another mouse to it, and then play it as if you were playing on a normal PC.

I went from an 8800gt and i saw a good improvement in all my games. So the performance difference for you should be big. Everything looks good, except for the ram, but you say your upgrading that(well actually it doesn't matter that much unless you plan on overclocking). But ya the e8400's sure does overclock well lol. You should post a new video when you get ur card man. When do you expect to get it??

Most computer monitors only refresh 60 times per second, so it is pointless to have super high frames like that. turn on Vsync. Caps the frames at 60, sometimes can make the game smoother.. but honestly, 500+? why?
