what i wish is the world would give us a break stop saying are children are they spoiled or that where abusing them when where in public and they dont want to go into a store. they judge us but dont know us or live our lifes with an autsim child.

Unfortunately, the media portrays autistics as financial burdens who will not contribute to society, commit violent crimes, either get recovered or institutionalized, and the list goes on. They do it for ratings by fearmongering. Portraying autistics as beautiful gifts from God with limitless potential would not generate half as many ratings as the former.

I believe that all individuals with Autism are a true gift from heaven! I not only have a beautiful niece with Autism but I also work with individuals with Autism and they are all awesome, beautiful, and unique individuals that just need and deserve understanding! I have a friend who is autistic she is 22 and has a service dog who helps her. I call her my sister and I get so mad when people tell me they are sorry she is autistic,! We need understanding, I don't want thier pitty because they fail to see thr tue gift that autism is and the buety of my friend!

How time has raced by so quickly.

Stephy is still mostly non verbal (can speak a few words) She has learned a lot

Stephy is so smart that she can open a padlock with a key.

wow she is such a cuttie, I have a nineteen year old daughter that has Asperger syndrome and she was diagnosised on December 22, 2008. i wish i would have pushed the doctors and school staff to do more testing when she was younger than she would have had a different out come. she was put in a intestive treatment center for adults with developmental disabilities Good lucj to you

She's very lucky to have people who love her and care for her. So many horrible parents out there with healthy "normal" children who don't care about their kids. She's beautiful.
