Ok people-I understand the challenges of his use of the word bitch yet I have bounced this around with friends of all ages and we were unable to come up with another term that was as evocative as the love he seems to be singing about..."an up from and surviving the bricks" kind of love. Also, as an old head with mad passion for the song I am thoroughly convinced that the "bitch" is his woman and the "heat' is the gun. BUT-I am old now:)
