  • Very nice! I am building a 54 Chevy 2 dr. with a 350ci & a Comp Cam thumper cam with 3 deuces.

  • Looks like the '55 in Two Lane Blacktop.

  • 100% heaven.

  • 210 with belair dash Nice car

  • How about a look under the hood ???

Cars nowadays SUCK, they will never have the class and style of those beautiful old chevys.

  • I think that I just cried and wet myself. What a stunning car. Thank you for posting.

  • guess yr not shiftn gears frm the dash LOL

  • Love the sound of the old 30 /30 cam.I used to run the solid lift 3o/3o in my old 66 chevy II.Nice 55!

  • WICKED 55!!!!

  • Are you interested in selling

  • Two Lane Blacktop!

  • nice what size rivets did you use?

  • I love the car. Mine is set up just about like that, wheels and all. That is the way they did it in the 70's. Bad ass!!

  • One Sweet " 55 "

  • one Sweet 55

  • Smell those unburned hydrocarbons, Love it.

  • Yup, 30/30.

  • you sir, have built my DREAM CAR! very cool! id kill to get my hands on my own 55.

  • The 30/30 sounds plenty bitchin'!

    Great job on the Gasser!

  • Change the three gauges under the dash to the chrome 2 inch Sterert Warners kind and the car is perfect. lol

  • nothing beats the look of a gasser mostly a 55 chevy

  • nothing beats the look of a gasser!!!!!!!!!!!!mostly a 55 chevy

  • all you need now is a fiberglass front end with that sheet metal hood scoop

  • @VegaWgn And a set of Daisy Wheels!! :)

  • Your 55 has perfect stance. Can you assist me with back tire size/wheel size

and back spacing? Is the rear end stock width? Are the leaf springs Stock Rate?

    How did you measure radius?

  • Love that choppy idle.

  • Beautiful ride. Thanks for posting.

  • That engines so weak he's scared to even rev it to clean it out.

  • nice 55 A - 1

  • Two lane Blacktop revisited. That's a Del-Ray isn't it?

  • gassers look ok with radious'd back, but i would never do that to mine, i like it when you have a 19 inch tire tucked, looks mean. but sucks for changing tires have to drop 4 link out, is that a 150? i have a 210 del ray. tubbed, 496 bds blower,

  • I like the radiused rear wheel wells. How did you put the lip on those back wheel wells?

  • @LB6060

It is hand bent steel tubing. Form it to the radius cut, clamp with small vise grips (gently) all the way around to hold tight to the metal. 2 options...can use steel rivets from the backside of the wheel well to tubing (to hold securely in place) and spot weld along the lip or just add lots of rivets and don't spot weld.

  • @fiftyfivegasser Ok, I get it. Thanks for the info. That's a beautiful ride.

  • Wow. Duntov 30 30.... Now that takes ya back .... Love the stock wheel and the bench seat also.. ( and of course the Manuel trans. )...Don't ever paint it.... Love it just as is,

  • that 30/30 gives it that perfect chop for the street

  • @jhizzylawnman

Just added new heads, intake and carb. It sounds a lot different now. Will be posting new video soon. Thanks.

  • @fiftyfivegasser hmmmmm did you go with vortechs or some 882s ........or 487s but in my opinion these new vortec heads are decent

  • @jhizzylawnman

Had a set of 186's reworked and it really boosted the compression. Intake is the 69-70 110 aluminum highrise topped with a 3310 Holley. 30/30 really talks now and likes idle around 900/1000 rpm. With the Muncie, it never stops winding.

  • @fiftyfivegasser i cant wait till i turn 18 in september im gonna try and find a shell i got plenty of power plants just no shell i hope i can find one

  • @jhizzylawnman

Good luck. 55's are still out there in project condition for decent $.

If you want help finding one, let me know and I'll check sources. Purchased mine and it was a rust bucket and took 3 years to build back.

  • @fiftyfivegasser ya if this damn economy wasnt so bad i woulda of had 1 by now i use 2 build 4 - 5 small blocks every month no problem but now im lucky to get 1.i like the 55s but rite now i think ill settle for anything i can stick a straight axle under if ya know what i mean

  • @fiftyfivegasser i got mine about 7 yrs ago out of texas for 1400 bucks with motor and trans etc, 210 del ray. its now tubbed, etc.

  • @jhizzylawnman

    Appreciate the great comments

  • @fiftyfivegasser no prob man

  • looks almost like mine

    pretty damn close

  • @jayhopper1234

  • Very nice...want to sell it?

  • Not today.

  • 14s 0r 15s up front? how do you have the rear set up? stock height in the rear?

  • 15's all around. The rears are 10" alloy Ansens with 29x12.5 M/T's; fronts are 6" alloy Ansens with 26" tall tires to clear the fenderwell headers. Has the origional Lakewood slapper bars (from the 60's) and rear is 57 Chevy uncut on stock springs with air shocks. Rear sets at near stock height. Trans is Muncie and engine is 70 Z-28. Front is all steel tilt.

  • good stance, a arms??

  • Yes. Have balljoint spacers, 90/10's with extenders and tall springs to be added. Will get the front up about 3" more. Have a 57 truck straight axle that was going in, but will be done later on if the A-arm/spring setup don't work.

  • 70 Z28 350 with stock bore. Was initially a solid lifter engine but received the origional Duntov 30-30 solid cam recently.

  • love it!!!!
