  • The reason for the WB logo is that Lorimar was brought by Time Warner.

  • They later used the WB logo at the beginning instead of Universal and Lorimar. I remember that years ago on one of the TNT showings.

  • Lorimar is underrated.

  • The Last Starfighter.

  • Nope, you're wrong. "Tank" had this logos.

  • @LogicSmash I remember seeing "Tank" on VHS back in 1984.

  • I think the logo for The Last Starfighter just read A Universal/Lorimar joint venture

  • @fourstringpredator Actually no,. My VHS copy of "The Last Starfighter" (a 1990 MCA/Universal Home Video re-release) contains this exact same logo sequence of the Universal globe plus Lorimar. Recent cable airings of "Starfighter" now have the Warner Bros. logo instead since Lorimar was acquired by that studio circa 1990 (but Universal still holds the video rights). "The Boy Who Could Fly", another Lorimar release (partnered with 20th Century Fox) also has the WB logo attached to it.

  • @stoopidmonkeyful I had The Last Starfighter on dvd a few years ago. There was no Universal logo, instead, there was a planet which displayed the words, " A Universal/Lorimar Joint Venture

  • What movie had these logos?
