how should my flan look after boiling? when i was stirring it started to grow al il strong, but im not sure if it was enough, i did it for three mintues cuz i bought it in the sotre and it gave me directions but im not sure how it should look.
it looks really good, but you can tell shes still an ameture when it comes to making flan/cutard... when it was done, it had holes in it, the eggs when being mixed shouldnt have any wholes, also the carmelwas darker in some of them then others, she should have mixed it more, also the darker the color the more bitter, getting the right amber color is difficult... also usually cooked in the oven in a bain marie, but doing it in the stove is a cool idea.. never heard of doing tht. anyways good job!
@aznlonelygrl : There is no fixed boiling time, it depends on how large is ur container. After 10 to 15mins boiling, U can use a chop stick to put in the flan cake, if there is no "running" liquid stick to the chopstick means it's done already :) Note that if it's still soft, may be it's still done, when u put it in freezer it will be harder abit.
uhh hint of caramel, if the color is light, the caramel will be too sweet. if its too dark, its going to be bitter. if it just right! its gunna taste really good!. .... good job!
