  • R.I.P mel blanc

  • rest in peace blanc

  • Will you guys visit the grave of Johnny Carson? Or maybe you have and haven't posted the video to YouTube. Seeing Mel Blanc's grave and others on the videos is like honoring the people you loved for their works.

  • Sorry it's taken to long to reply. We were away for some time. Johnny Carson was actually cremated and a family member has his ashes.

  • Thank you for the info. That's interesting. Keep up posting the videos. As I said it's like honoring the memories of the people who gave their fans joy and happiness.

  • Mel was bigger than Jesus, in the cartoon voice world.

  • Rest In Peace, Mel. You were the greatest.

  • the only cartoons worth watching were the Warner Bros cartoons that Mel did. great work all around. Kudos to the visual artists as well as the folks who picked all that Raymond Scott music which was used hundreds of times so well.... I just loved everything that Mel Blanc did with Warner Brothers Studios. His passing was the passing of an era.

  • Man, thanks for this, Looney Tunes is probably the only cartoon show I watched, most other cartoons SUCK! I'm also an inspiring voiceover announcer.

  • You are right. Looney Tunes was the best and Mel blanc was the main reason. Absolutely amazing. And you are welcome. Good luck with the career.

  • Those who visit the grave place stones on the grave as a way to show that they'd paid their respects. You failed to show respect to a genius. Gee, was he Jewish? There is a Star of David on this gravestone. What do you think? It pains me to think that you were at his grave and I was not.

  • The comment wasn't a question, it was a statement because of the Star of David. Gee, could you be more condescending. We visited the grave and put him on our website stating his genius. Is that respect enough? It pains me that people like make snap judgments about people from a couple of minutes.

  • Yea Mel Blanc was Jewish & the stones on the grave are what people do most've the time to show that ppl went to visit the grave since the only flowers you should put must be rooted or you can't put them there at all. So the stones are a alternative.

  • was mel jew?

  • I'd love to have my grave on youtube. Maybe you shouldn't judge people from your own stunted point of view.

  • I think the stones/rocks on the grave might be a Jewish custom. Remember that last scene in "Schindler's List" where people from the present day gathered to place stones on the memorial?

  • It is a custom. People put stones as a sign of being @ the grave. Flowers are generally not put on the grave. This could be considered a sign of vanity. It is a reflection to show that you were there and that we return to dust. Hence forth the rocks on the grave. Again this is the custom.

  • Rest in peace Mel Blanc. You made a lot of lives happier!

  • Yeah he did Doll Link.

  • I saw a few more graves there...anybody else of interest?

  • The place is loaded with Hollywood Stars, from Don Adams to Rudolph Valentino to Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. (an incredible grave.) They give you a map at the office, it's a major tourist attraction. Also, Tyrone Power and Cecille B. DeMille.

  • Yeah.

  • Another impressive site is the grave of Clarence Nash. He was the official voice of Donald Duck for 50 years! He's buried next to his wife and the tombstone shows Donald and Daisy Duck holding hands surrounded by a large heart. Very touching.

  • mel blanc #1

  • Who's buried to the right of him? Just curious.

  • That I don't know. Sorry. I don't think it was anyone real famous, though.

  • God Rest Mel Blanc's Soul

  • When I went to Hollywood Forever, I walked around and around following their map and I must have just missed it, b/c my grandpa and I spent about 15 mins. looking for it.

  • It's on the left of the main roadway as you enter. We weren't looking for it, we just happened upon it.

  • It's ironic you happened upon it and I was looking for it, b/c by chance is how I found Jayne Mansfield's epitaph.

  • Yeah, we stubbled upon Cecil B. DeMille's grave also. It's an amazing cemetery. Stars at every turn.

  • RIP Mel, Your son, Noel will follow your legacy

  • I love his inscription.

  • What about Elvis?

  • They don't allow video cameras in Graceland. I even got yelled at for leaning on the yellow leather bar!

  • awesome!!!

  • Had I not seen it on video I would not have believed that he had "That's All Folks" on his tombstone.

  • hey u sould do jonny cash

  • We would love to do Cash. Next time we're in Nashville, he's at the top of the list.

  • i think these are pretty neat.. how about jackie gleasons next?

  • Good to hear from you again. I'd love to see Jackie's grave, but we haven't made it to Florida yet. He has a very interesting gravesite.
